I could have added another star if we could have discovered new about Sam in this journal. I was not disappointed but I was hoping that there could be something new aside from what we've already known from what we've read from this series.
A glimpse into Sam's mind before he met John. He is missing his dad and is still wondering what happened to him, and reading about alien conspiracy theories is one of his coping mechanisms. In a way, they kind of prepared him for what would come next...
A fun look into Sam's conspiracy theories, his belief that his dad is ok somewhere, and the hazards of being a teen boy. Sam's funny, so this was a pretty entertaining read. I'd recommend reading it either during or after book 1.
I've always loved Sam's character, so I enjoyed reading this one more than the other journal(Sarah's). Although it was still too short for me and I still wish it was longer, so I guess that's 3 stars. Quick, interesting read.
It is a wasted opportunity. This Lost File could have been a background story for Sam, where we were shown more about his personality until it spliced with the events of "I am Number Four". You could also tell us more about your childhood when you lost your father and stuff. There's not much to say, it's just a diary that tells parts of Sam's life until his classes start and he meets John Smith.
Another really quick read like Sarah's Journal. This one, on the other hand, actually reveals some new info about Sam, his father, and the sundial in his backyard that was first introduced in The Power of Six.
Sam's diary was a pretty funny read. I sort of liked it a lot better than Sarah. I guess I like how he goes straight to the point. There was a lot going on with Sam even before he met John. I wonder if he would have figured things out before the invasion if John never came to Paradise.

Missed Sam so much. Enjoyed reading his journal entries. Its mostly him thinking about his dad and his own strange obession with aliens and conspiracy theories. Right before he meets one lol Fun read. Recommend to any I Am Number Four fan!
A complete waste of my time, not only did it take up several minutes of my life, it did not provide ANYTHING new that I did not know already. Sam's still a favourite but this bonus is redundant.
