USA Today Bestselling author, Cindy M. Hogan is the author of edge of your seat, young adult suspense novels that always have a dash of romance, because every book should have hot guys and girls in them. Her first series, the Watched Series, skyrocketed her to number one bestselling author and she hasn’t let up since with over 20 novels to her name.

She never sits down to write, instead, she walks and talks into a recorder and lets her computer transcribe her words. Editing is her enemy, but she loves the final results, so she’ll always dig in.

Her one dream is to own and bake in a German style bakery with a cute to-go window for Gelato. In the meantime, she’ll continue to do the thousand other things she loves like teaching, all things outdoors, painting, and gardening—she’s never met a flower, tree, bush or vegetable she doesn’t like—except maybe okra and beets. As long as she’s got a book playing in her ear, she even enjoys weeding. She may be deranged.

She loves to create, but can’t seem to sit still for long, even to read a book. Instead, she listens to books so she can read and create at the same time. She’s a non-stop worker and enjoys every minute of it.

Her most loved creation is her two amazing daughters and wishes they were teens again. She loves to be home, but her husband is a traveler and drags her family around the world, where she finds an endless supply of story ideas, characters, settings, and more often than not, walks away with a suntan or ends up in a cool castle. She is also inspired by the unpredictable teens she teaches. If she is not creating things other than books, you’ll find her snuggled up with the love of her life watching a movie or planning their next party.

Most of all, she loves to laugh.

Christy now Ari, and her friends have been sent to a top secret spy school in Belgium. She's so glad to be able to be there with Rick and Marybeth, she hopes that she can get a chance to talk with both of them and make sure they are both doing okay with the fact that she isn't dead. She just needs to remember to call them Reese and Melanie. The spy school is pretty cool! There are fancy watches that do everything from GPS functions to monitoring your blood and telling you what you should eat to waking you up and getting you where you need to be on time. The only drawback to the watches is that they are not removable, even for showering or sleeping. The kids are warned that they will need to be tested to determine just where they should be placed in the school, they are not allowed to discuss these tests with anyone, especially not each other. When it's Ari's turn to be tested, she's woken up super early, earlier than anyone else in her group. The director of the school, Ms. Mackley, explains that Ari is to start testing so early simply because they anticipate that it's going to take much longer for her to complete her test than the others. When the results of her test come back, Ari is shocked. The results show that she is far more advanced than any of the others in her group, so advanced in fact, that Ms. Mackley says she is going to have to leave and go to another training facility. Ari really wants to stay, she hasn't gotten Reese to talk to her yet, so she makes a bargain with Ms. Mackley that she can do some extra training on her own for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, Ari will be transferred to a different facility. But at the end of two weeks, instead of being transferred, Ari is given a field assignment. Ari's not sure she's quite ready, she hasn't learned everything that she wants to yet, but Ms. Mackley insists that she's the best for this particular mission and off Ari goes. But Ari quickly learns that being a spy isn't all it seems to be!

This has been such a fun series! I really enjoyed this book, it sucked me in from the first page. I enjoyed all the spy gadgets, I enjoyed the spy school, I wonder if there are really spy schools like that out there...something to ponder I guess. This book had a fast moving plot and likable characters, just like the rest of the series. This is the third book in the series, make sure you read them in order so that you understand all the things that are happening and who everyone is. While I am really sad to see the book end, I thought that the ending was well done, the way it was done leaves me picturing Christy's life as it could have played out. It also leaves me thinking that I really need to get some super secret spy gear for my own personal use!

These books just keep impressing me with more and more excitement! I'm so sad the the series has came to an end. In this book there are so many things that amaze you and you just want to keep reading.

But there are some reasons I didn't give this book 5 stars one of the few reasons is because the writer of the book is a Mormon and don't get me wrong I have absolutely nothing against that religion and it didn't matter to me that she is a Mormon but it did infiltrate the book. In some scenarios she would take things in a certain way because of the writer of this books perspective. Especially the part in the book about Church. It was unnecessary and I wasn't fond of it. This problem was found in all three books.

Also her adding of certain characters that wasn't needed. Maybe it will be further explained in the fourth book but I don't know.

The last problem I had with this book was that Alex wasn't in the book as much as I wanted him to be. Also Ari/Christy acted like Alex didnt even matter to her anymore especially after she had all these feelings for him. Trust me when I say you cant just drop feelings like that.

Now that I told you the things I didn't like it only seems fair to tell you the great and wonderful things about this book!

...

There is so much adventure and twists and turns in this book and in all of the books. The book has such a great story line to it and the story line could possibly happen to anyone.

The writing in this book was so thought out and the Writer has a wonderful and captivating way to let you experience everything from Ari/Christys life! The book is also for any type of readers! It doesn't matter what you are into you will love the book.

The last thing that I ABSOLUTELY have to mention is how sweet and loving Reese/Rick is my heart just melts every time he is in the book and is talking to Ari/Christy.

Overall the book is fabulous and I'm completely in love with the books<3

What my stars mean:
5 Stars--the book had a profound impact on me. It touched me on some special level and lingered with me long after I'd finished reading it.
4 Stars--I loved this book. If I don't own it, I will buy it so I can read it again and again.
3 Stars--I enjoyed the book but may have had an issue or two with it.
2 Stars--I had more than a few issues with it.
1 Stars--I hated it.

BOOK DESCRIPTION
Ari and her friends find themselves in an independent spy school in Belgium, Bresen Academy. Test scores reveal her true abilities and the director wants to send her onto to more advanced training school immediately. She is given a two week reprieve to explore the school's training program and hopefully make amends with both Reese and Marybeth. Despite her lack of advanced training, the director convinces Ari she would be the best fit for a mission that surfaces in Prague with a group calling themselves Division 57. Uncertain, but wanting to please, she agrees. She quickly discovers there is nothing easy about being a spy and finds her very life on the line.

MY TAKE
In this third and last book in the series, Christy aka Ari is finally not on the run anymore. Kinda. She's still running but it's for a different reason. My thought at the end of "Protected" was that she was being given survival skills that would make her great spy material. It seems someone else thought so, too.

In Belgium, you follow her through training and testing in the field as she tries to mend bridges with former friends all while figuring out her feelings for guys from her past and decisions about her future. There's plenty of action and some nice twists at the end. A satisfying conclusion.

Created is the third book in the Watched Series. I have to say that this book has become my favorite. I not only liked all of the action, but I felt that Christy/Ari had become her own person, not always being led around solely by authority figures. Christy/Ari has really grown from the shy teenager that we met in the first book Watched.

This book is centered around a spy school, secreted away in Belgium, that Ari and her friends are attending. They gain new skills to help them learn to protect themselves, and also to ensure a new career for the future. Ari becomes a star because of everything she learned while she was undercover. (You can read all about that in the 2nd book, Protected.) She is so advanced that after two weeks she is sent on her first "real" mission. The level of mystery and angst is upped to new levels in Created. Author Cindy Hogan can be commended for writing such a "sit on the edge of your seat" book as Ari is faced with new friends, a new identity and new bad guys. Ari's new kick-butt attitude is great as she learns that she is stronger and smarter than she realized. She also figures out that being a spy is much harder and more dangerous than she had planned on.

I suggest reading Book 1:Watched and Book 2: Protected. before you read Book 3: Created. It is fun to see not only the growth of main character Christy/Ari, but also the growth of Author Cindy Hogan in her writing journey. This is a YA book, but don't be fooled, adults will also enjoy the adventure that Created will take you on.

I'm so sad to see this series come to an end. Although I saw that the author is writing a new series that includes Christy in it. I could read five more of these books about the undercover missions she goes on, thoroughly entertaining. I loved each of these books in their own way, each book is SO different from each other. This book had some surprises towards the end that totally caught me off guard, love that! I loved loved the ending of this book. I thought the author did a perfect job at giving the reader a glimpse of many possibilities and letting it hang on all the things that could happen in the future. I liked Christy/Ari's personality the most in this book, I kindof got annoyed by her in the first, a little in the second, but not at all in this last book. No longer was she a whiny teenager but had grown up, had realized it's what's on the inside in the core that matters. These last two books made me want to take some serious self defense classes :)

Altogether this was a fantastic series. The third book rounded things out nicely.

I really love the school Christy attended and the stuff she learned along the way. All the different tests were pretty cool and I really like the way she was so creative in how she handled them. Once again, I say that Christy is a really cool, likeable character.

The climax was great, fast paced and intense. I love those moments in a book where it is simply impossible to put down. The ending of Created is just like that.

I like who Christy ended up with and the final conclusion to the book. I switched off my kindle very satisfied :)

Once again, the cover doesn't match the story, which is a little disappointing, but not enough to take away from the story. This series is worth investing in.

I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a little espionage.

Created was definitely a banger! I loved the book from beginning to end!!

Ari is now at a school to become a spy. The school facilitators quickly learn that she is one of the best, and they send her out on missions almost immediately. Ari is excited to embark on this new journey and she really starts to learn how strengths and weaknesses. After Ari goes through numerous amounts of training, learning modules, etc. Mrs. Mackley the head administrator finally believes that Ari is ready to complete her stay at the school and become a real spy.

Ari receives Intel on a young lady named Sophia Ramirez. She must "befriend" her and get close enough to take down Diego Ramirez, Sophia's dad. Diego is a danger scientist who is causing destruction with his invention. Ari may be in too deep! especially when someone from her past shows up!

True confession, didn't actually make it all the way through, though this was probably the coolest of the series--her mission actually seems pretty awesome, with plenty of opportunities for her to explore her evolving beliefs--wait, that would involve her having beliefs and doing something other than worry about people liking her. Also, really? Give 17 year olds the chance to go dark? Bad idea, because, here's the thing, a 17 year old would be stupid enough to enter a covert program and become a spy just so he could stay with a girl. Not a decision a resonable person would make, which is why it seems inconcievable that the kids were forced to make it, without talking to their families.

Really enjoyed this creative story where teens end up involved with the FBI. I thought it was well written and kept me reading. I really liked how our protagonist is a real teenager. She doesn't always do the right thing and pays the consequences for it. She knows what he values are but is still trying to discover what that means and how she should act in some situations. She knows that one boy brings out the rebellious part of her or coheres her to do things she knows is not right for her and yet is pulled by attraction and not good sense. She also learns things through good hard work and sweat.

It is very interesting.

A Thrilling End

This was a thrilling end to the Watched trilogy. The leaps and bounds by which Christy grows as a person and as a spy made me want to keep reading and for the series to never end. It's a good thing Cindy M. Hogan decided to continue Christy's story as a spy in a second series.

This book was the best one of the trilogy. So much wonderful character development, plot twists and turns. I hated that I had to go to work, because I wanted to just read this book. I loved each book of the series! It's so great to read clean YA suspense/thrillers, with clean romance mixed in. I highly recommended the Watched series.

Created is a great book for people of all ages. It is a mix of romance, drama, action, and thrill. Cristy is the main character of this story, but she has a cover name and is known to the world as Ari. Some other characters are Reese, Melonie, and Sopia. The main problem in this story is trying to discover who you really are and how you want to live your life. I really like how this story is based on how it is to be a spy. Even more than that though, I like how this book encourages good values. The book states "Remain who you are at your core." -Cort (an FBI agent). another line I like in this book is "This is only a job. It's not really me." -Cristy. I liked this line in the book because it shows that Cristy still knows who she is and knows what her values and standards are. A good theme would be "If at first you don't succeed, try, try, again." This story takes place at a spy training facility in Europe. Cristy and her friends from DC are sent there after all the chaos they had to face back home. America soon became unsafe for them and they had to leave the country. They are sent to Europe to become spies. The morning after they arive, Cristy and her friends are forced to take a test that will determine what skill level they are and what group they are to be place into. Cristy's test are remarkable and she is told that her skills are too advanced for any of the academy's classes. They inform her that she will be being transferred to a more advanced school. Cristy doesn't want to leave her friend Melonie and her lover boy Reese so she persuades the head master Ms. Mackley to let her stay for at least another 2 weeks. During those 2 weeks, cristy reads and memorizes all the class books if the school's safe and completes 2 practice missions. Once her 2 weeks are up cristy is sent on a real mission outside of the academy. Her mission is to befriend a troubled teen named Sophia so that she can get into Spohia's father's secret lab and steal his secret information. She begins attending the same school as Sophia and they become great friends real fast. Cristy later persuades Sophia that the 2 of then should work on their science project in her fathers's lab. After they break into the lab, Cristy discovers that everything had been moved and cleaned, leaving no evidence of anything. About a week later, Sophia invites Cristy to come with her and her family on vacation to go stay at their ranch in Spain. At the ranch, Cristy discovers that Sophia's dad had another secret lab there. She steals all the Intel off of Sophia's father"s computer. She had finished her mission, now she had to escape the ranch. As she is making her escape, Cristy is caught and confronted by Sophia. If you would like to know the ending of this story, then you might consider reading this book yourself. Cindy Hogan is an amazing author.

Created by Cindy Hogan is an adventurous YA novel that is well written, fast paced, and consistent throughout. The story focuses on 17-year-old Christy, who despite being in the FBI's witness protection program was tracked down and almost killed, so the FBI relocates her to Belgium. The majority of the story takes place here, inside a private spy school where most of its students started attending since they were 5 years old. Because of her brilliance and innate ability to know the right way to go, as well as when danger is near (I think of this as her 6th sense superpower), Christy quickly completes most of the curriculum and is assigned her first real mission.

I listened to the Audible version of this story narrated by Laci Morgan who did an outstanding job. Laci portrayed Christy as a very likeable young lady surrounded by unbelievable events. Laci had great intonation and pace, keeping the story suspenseful throughout. She had differing voices for male and female characters, and expressed urgency when appropriate. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audio book!

Created is the third book in the Watched series. Although this is a stand alone, I think a reader would have a better understanding of what's going on if it were read or listened to after Protected (I still have not read the first book and it was very easy to understand the story line starting with book #2). Despite receiving a copy of this book in exchange for a review, I loved it so much I listened to all 9 1/2 hours in only two days. Highly recommended!

The third and final novel in the watched series. Christy is off again with her new identity as Ari. This time around she is sent to a spy school in Europe where due to her photographic memory and superior intellect shes already on the same level as the oldest students.

This one went in a totally different direction than I could have guessed. The believability factor falls further on the spectrum. Would the government really send a bunch of kids in witness protection to a spy school? What are the chances that all the kids from that group in DC would be suited for spying? I'd say slim to none.

This felt like the beginning of a new series instead of the end of a trilogy. Why make it a trilogy if you finished the original story first? The issues from the previous books are just glossed over and ended leading to a whole different story. The writing is okay and it certainly keeps you reading with the action scenes. I still don't overly like the main character and her relationships with people don't develop in a way i enjoy. The characters also talk about things that never happened in the book a lot. I know the timing jumps forward days and even weeks at a time but they'll bring stuff up in conversations and I find it weird to have not read about the event beforehand. Oddly enough this was the best book in the series for me. Some of the stuff I questioned actually made sense at the end. But at the same time I feel like I was tricked into beginning a new series rather than finishing one.

When Christy and her friends are sent to a special spy school in Europe to avoid being killed by the terrorists who have been searching for them, they were told they could return when the terrorist threat was ended. But after the three weeks that took, most of the students opted to stay behind and join the spy world. They were enrolled in classes at the spy school. only Christy was too advanced for the school. Within two weeks she was assigned a handler and trained for a mission requiring a high school girl. Once again Christy looses her identity and as Ari becomes friends with the daughter of the target. What follows is a dazzling blend of high school and normality with superb spying skills and an important mission.

Ms Hogan had me on the edge of my seat several times that Christy almost was caught spying. The book was so exciting until the last few chapters seemed to rush to end the book. All's well that ends well however, and had the series ended here, I would have been okay knowing Christy was going to be an outstanding spy. Fortunately the series continues with Adrenaline Rush! You have to read the Watched Trilogy in order, failure to do so will confuse you rather than engage you! So make sure you read Watched then Protected then Created...you will be glad you did!

I loved the book created by Cindi Hogan, it was an awesome book! It nearly always keeping me in suspense. One thing I did not like quite as much as that was the constant problems and complications. I guess that's a part of the whole suspense thing but still I like a humor break every once and a while.

Like I said, I really liked the suspense I was always on the edge of my seat wanting to never have to stop reading. This is one of those books that keeps you up reading until four in the morning for a week straight. There was always something happening, something big that just sucks you right in to the book; and you do not come out until someone waves a hand in front of your face.

The suspense did get a little old i guess either that or i am going crazy (the thing i like about this book is essentially the same as the thing i do not) the problems just kept going. i know you need problems to make a story interesting, but i think this book could have used a couple more funny things in it.

still i liked this book a lot and i would recommend it to anyone, whether they are looking for a book to read or not. It is very suspenseful, dramatic, and action packed. Warning: This book will have you reading at crazy times.

I really, really enjoyed this series, and felt like each book got better. The first book (Watched) annoyed me a bit, because it seemed like the author was creating a character for young Mormon girls to identify with, then advocating the idea that the prophet and parents are out-dated, and their advice is open to take it or leave it. That bothered me. I don't care if she is the ideal example of a teenage girl - in fact, it's good for her to be more real and believable. I just really didn't like feeling like the message being sent was, "just do what is best for you, without worrying about your restrictive parents and religious leaders." I think the mother in me was too sensitive to this, and I am sure that Hogan didn't intend this message at all. But it still bugged me some. (Though I did still really like the book.)

However, the other two books didn't give this impression (and I'm sure it wasn't the author's intent with the first book), and they were so fun. Christy's character is great. It's fun to watch her development and how she changes so much, but still keeps true to her core. The love story was cute, and the spy stuff is super fun.

Very fun, and I hope there are more Christy books to come!

What?! It says this is the third and final book of the series, but I didn't really feel like it was all wrapped up. I felt like things were left open for another installment. I guess it could end on this note, but...well, no, it can't!!

This series has been interesting. Each book takes a different spin on things. In book 1, Christy witnesses a horrific crime and she and her friends spend time running and being stalked and trying to figure things out. Book 2 takes us to life in the witness protection program. And book 3 is the training and life of a spy. That said, what a crazy life! Is this kind of life for real? Or just the result of a great imagination? It really fascinated me--all the gadgets and techniques. I don't think I could do it--assuming a whole new role and putting myself in danger all the time. I loved the story though! The first half was the school and training and the second was a crazy mission. I'll try not to get my hopes up for more--this has been a very adventurous and fun series.

Content: a scene of teens drinking/partying; a brief mention of rape; some violence; mild kissing.

Created, the final book in the Watched Series, certainly held true to the series. All I can say is wow! The MC has gone from being straight laced Christy, to cheerleading Michelle, to grunge chick Ari. In this final installment Ari is attending spy school as the terrorists are being rounded up once again. She finds that she has quite an aptitude for spy stuff and once all the bad guys are arrested or dead, Ari is faced with a huge decision. Does she return home and be Christy or continue her training and become a Super Spy. Like the other books before it, Created has twists and turns and keeps you guessing to the last page. No one is who they appear to be and spies are lurking everywhere.

I love this series and my introduction to author Cindy M. Hogan. The MC, Christy, was very and I like that through it all she did not compromise her core values and stayed true to herself. I am thrilled to see that Christy’s story doesn’t end her but continues on with Adrenaline Rush.

I don’t think I have ever read a book as fast I read CREATED, the final book in the Watched series. It was both enthralling and thought provoking. I am so glad to hear that author Cindy M. Hogan has even more books featuring this amazing heroine. It reminds me so much of the hit TV series Alias, which gave Jennifer Gardner her fame in Hollywood, and fans of that show will want to read these books!

I don’t want to say too much about the book because I don’t want to spoil anything for you. Some of the same themes addressed in the first two books resonate in this one, once again driving the point that we are the ones in control of our own lives and that we have the choice to become what and who we are. This book is filled with nail biting suspense that will have you staying up all night and abandoning everything to finish. Seriously, do we know any film producers that could make this into a movie? We need more books like this, featuring strong female leads that are morally clean and inspire goodness. Well done, Cindy M. Hogan!

Christy (or Ari, as she is now), ends up at a spy academy in Belgium with the rest of her DC crew. As she tries to rekindle her relationship with Rick and also deepen her friendship with Marybeth, she learns that she is extremely advanced and is picked to be some sort of super spy. As she faces the tough decisions, learns as much as she can in a very condensed period of time, and also risks her life many times, Christy comes to terms with how her life has turned out and where it's going.
The content of this book was fun to read (very "Alias"), but I feel like the spy genre translates over the TV/movie medium better than print. It was sometimes hard to follow the intricacies of her missions. Also, just as in the previous books, Christy's reactions to things and her ultimate decisions don't seem realistic. She was kind of an annoying character to follow but the topic had a lot of potential.

Teenage spies? Sounds great already! I didn't read the first two, so I missed a few things but read the first chapter of Watched on Cindy's blog. That helped, but not a requirement to enjoy this one. Hogan does a good job filling in what reminders or backstory a reader needs without spoiling the other books.

Hogan gives enough details about the spy lessons and equipment for plausibility but left me hoping for more details in a couple places. That's just the adult in me. YA will love it. There's a good mix of sorting through relationships and coming into the development of ones self as seen through the teen voice. The pace was great throughout and kept me wanting to read. I found a few proofreading errors but not too bothersome. Clean as far as language and immoral content. This is a book I would recommend.

‘Created” is the third book in the “Watched” series. I enjoyed the first book so much I knew I would have to keep reading to find out where things went.

Christy, witness to a murder, has had her life turned completely upside down. With no choice but to enter the witness protection program, Christy must learn a new way of life, and the skills to survive. From brainiac to Cheerleader to biker chic. But mistakes are made, and she ends up in danger, again. Through the series though, her character does develop, and we see her come into the person she is meant to be.

The missions that she is sent on are suspenseful and downright entertaining, even if pieces here and there are a little far-fetched. I found myself cheering for her to succeed.

I enjoyed the ending. There was closure, while still leaving the door open for other adventures.

Well done!

SPOILER ALERT
Genre- young adult
Created-By: Cindy M Hogan
Protagonist: Christy is a teenage girl who hasn't found her true self or identity yet. She is trapped between two guys and can't choose. She is placed in the witness protection program and becomes one of their top spy's. Her goal is to find out who she truly is.
Review-In my opinion created was one of the most descent books out of the three books in the watched series. But I would not recommend it to anyone and here's why. First of all, it was a very predictable book that was meant for cheesy teenage girls. It was the classic love triangle with very different guys. Obviously she was in love with both of them. The whole spy thing did not have me intrigued. And the story line was not very good. Over all I did not like this book, or the watched series. At most it was descent.
