La fine del sogno occidentale

Globalizzazione è un termine entrato prepotentemente nel linguaggio comune che ben esprime lo spirito dell'epoca. Ma in realtà questa sottomissione delle vite umane al predominio del mercato rientra in un movimento per occidentalizzare e uniformare il mondo in atto da alcuni secoli. Resistenze che lasciano presagire come la morte dell'Occidente non sia necessariamente la fine del mondo.

Serge Latouche (born January 12, 1940) is a French emeritus professor of economics at the University of Paris-Sud. He holds a degree in political sciences, in philosophy and in economy.

Latouche is a specialist in North-South economic and cultural relations, and in the epistemology of the social sciences. He has developed a critical theory towards economic orthodoxy. He denounces economism, utilitarianism in social sciences, consumer society and the notion of sustainable development. He particularly criticizes the notions of economic efficiency and economic rationalism. He is one of the thinkers and most renowned partisans of the degrowth theory. Latouche has also published in the Revue du Mauss, a French anti-utilitarian journal.

يَعيش الغرب وّهم وخدعة تفوقهم عَلى جميع الأعراق، وما هم إلا كومة من خردة بُنيت على جوع المَال وهو السبب ذاته لتدهورهم.
يصنع البَشر رموزًا وتحديثاتٍ بغرض الانسجام والتَّفاعل فيما بينهم، ولكنهم لا يُدركون بذلك أنهم يبنون شيئًا ليهدموا آخر. لكن كل جمسٍ من الأجناس يعيش قناعاته الاجتماعية والتاريخية والثقافية الخاصة به، والذي لا يُمكنه التطور إلا من خلالها، والحفاظ عليها، فكيف بدخيلٍ غَريب يَفرض عليه ما لم يخطر عَليه سابقًا؟
هذا واقعٌ يحمل تمزُّقاتٍ عدة، فلا يوجد وِحدة إنسانية لأن ما يقوم عَليه العَالم الآن هو نظامٌ اقتصاديّ بحت! وإن كان السلام موجودًا فقد كان قبل الحرب حيث لم يكن للطمع والجشع مكان، أما ما بعدها فهي مُجرد مُعاهدات سِلمية مؤقتة للبحث عن الوَضع الاقتصادي لمصلحة كل مجتمع.
تغريب العَالم الغربي يأتي بغرض محوه، فهو صَنع التقدم لكنه صنع التدهور والانحطاط أيضًا.
