Butterfii Fields has been through it all in her young life from watching her teenage mother being physically and mentally abused to being impregnated by her own father. She has been raped, tortured and abused. She no longer trusts anyone but the siblings who endured the same abuse as her. The years of abuse have led the fragile Butterflii to commit the ultimate crime… murder.
She is deemed mentally unstable and her crime lands her in the infamous mental hospital St. Elizabeth’s in S.E. Washington, DC where she meets the only person she feels she has a connection to, Georgia Marks.
Georgia is the complete opposite of Butterflii, she is beautiful and smart and seems to have everything under control, except one thing…her drug problem. Georgia battles her own demons which stems from a past of her abuse of the drug, Love Boat, that runs rampant through the DMV streets at an all time high.
Her addiction to the powerful drug LB, the death of her brother Emilio accompanied by a heist gone wrong, places Georgia in St. Elizabeth’s along with Butterflii when they decide being locked up in St. Elizabeth’s is something they can no longer withstand.
Together, they break free from bondage and develop something they have never felt for anyone…love. The two girls embark on a journey to find themselves and make a way to survive in a world that has shunned and turned its back on them, only to find that the bond they thought could never be broken will be, by a twist of fate, that will devastate the unsuspecting Butterflii who refuses to forgive.

Exhale II: A Sister's Love

I loved this story. I started reading and I refused to put it down until I had read the last page. Let me just start out by saying that I hated Andre. He was a abusive, womanizing pedophile. I don't have any respect for men who has sexual desires so story that he would violate a innocent child. If Butta hadn't done what she did, he would still be running around messing with children. As for Butta, I felt so sorry for her. She was a child being raised by a child. With all that she had been through it was a wonder she lasted as long as she did. All she wanted was to be loved. Butta had good intentions and her heart was in the right place, but she was dealt a bad hand from the womb. My heart goes out to Butta and children like her. It is sad to say that there are children in this world living an identical lifestyle. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I will leave it at that. I hate that this story was so short, but it was definitly a page turner. I really enjoyed reading it. Hopefully, BlaQue will pen more stories like this one. She is well on her way to literary success!

"Exhale" by Blaque is the riveting story of Butterfli Fields. Growing up with a teenage mother, she witnesses abuse firsthand. When that abuse is directed towards her, she must do what she has to do in order to survive. When a tragic event leads to her being committed to a mental hospital, Butterflii (or Butta as she prefers to be called) struggles with the personal demons of her past. Will she finally be able to let the past be the past and move on with her life or has the damage already been done?

Author Blaque has come onto the literary field swinging! " Exhale" is a story of abuse, a story of love, and a story of survival. It's vividly told and moves at a fast pace. She makes 77 pages feel like a full length novel. The twists and turns were great. There are some scenes that are not for the faint of heart. The ending left me speechless. Looking forward to reading more from this author. 5 stars!

Let me first start off by saying that I couldnt even write my review right after i read this because I was looking for the right words. I was sad that the book ended, I wish it was a full length book because I was just all into it.

Butterfii Fields is a young girl who grows up watching her mother be abused by her father, and then that abuse starts to come to her. She is abused in so many ways and has to grow up faster than she should have so that she can protect her siblings. Butterfii commits a crime and soon after is seen as mentally unstable, but at the end of the day was the crime she committed worth it?

In reading this short story you can only feel bad for Butterfii and her siblings. The things that she had to go through, no child should ever have to go through or deal with these things. The saying that you cant choose your family is very true and its sad Butterfii had to be born into a family with a father who cared more about his vices then he did his own family, and a mother who cared more about what her babydaddy then her children. I think that some people may be able to relate to this book because of some of the things in it, there are a lot of sensitive subject materail in the book, but things like this do happen in the world and all the author did was give it to the readers raw and uncut!

The author wrote this book in such a way that people could feel the character and what she was going through, because how could you not. If your looking for a book, with drama, lies and just overall well written that will pull you in from beginning to end then this story would be a great pick.

I think this author is going to be one many readers will be looking for in the future, if she can do this with a short story, I cant wait to see what she does with a full length novel. Great job!

Sometimes hell starts at home.
Exhale by Blaque introduces you to a young woman by the name of Butterfii Fields. Butterfii does not have much that can bring joy to her life but she is determine at one point of time to just survive. But after being physically and mentally abused by her father, you would think that things cannot get any more worst for this young teenager. Well, the reader can think again. She is then pregnant for her father. Making up in her mind that none of her other siblings are going to go through the same torture and pain that she went too, she kills her father. With this act she saves her young brothers and sisters but also lands herself in a mental ward and without a baby…. Over a time period she meets another like soul by the name of Georgia.
Georgia has her own issues after the death of her younger brother and being involved in a drug related shoot out that leave associates of hers dead. Opening up and talking to Butterfii gives her a sense of security to the point where a fresh new love is found.
Butterfii and Georgia break out of the institution in which they have been place to go on with there life. Will the issues of the past prove more powerful than the love that is new to this couple or will it survive?

Blaque did such a great job with this short novel. The twist and turns that is included are one that are not seen by the reader. She describes the struggles of each of the main characters in a way that gives the readers a full picture with so many words. I must say as the readers I felt that all avenues in this short story was covered, giving me satisfaction of a full length novel.

Butterflii Fields has endured much pain in her life. After seeing her mother constantly abused by her father and enduring the rape by her father it seems that she just can't catch a break. Eventally she ends up in a mental hospital where she meets Georgia. Georgia's background is completely different. Instead, Georgia has lived a very privileged life until she fell victim to the streets and developed a crazy drug habit. After the breakout from the institution they vow to stay together until truths are told and secrets are revealed. Is forgiveness in these girls hearts?

This was my second read by BlaQue. I really enjoyed reading this book. There were a few editing issues at the beginning of the book. The twists and turns were crazy. I kinda saw part of the end coming and it was slightly rushed; however, I was still shocked by parts of it. I am looking forward to part 2 of this series. I want to know what happened to Touche' and Shyra. With every book I read by this author I am slowly becoming a fan. Keep up the good work BlaQue!!

This is my first book reading from Blaque. Blaque did a really good and excellent job to put out this book because I enjoyed reading this Exhale. Exhale was a good and excellent book to read because it’s well written and it’s always on the point. I believe that father has not right put his hand on his children and woman. I am sorry for what’s happen to Butta because she was abuse and raped by father and she didn’t have proper care by her parents. Butta won’t allow to see her sisters at the foster care and her brother was killed by robbery. Also, I am sorry for what’s happen to Georgia. This author and book deserve a five stars because I was about to cry because what’s happen to Butta’s mom, her sisters and brother and herself. I enjoyed reading this book but it was short and bad ending. I am looking forward to read another book from this author.

Exhale is what I need to do while reading this story...like others one I began reading it was extremely had to put down. I usually don't mention names in my review, but I absolutely HATED Andre ass he was a complete butthole. Andre was selfish and thought of no one but himself. He treated his family like crap. Blaque did an awesome job. This was a book that was kinda hard for me to read without want to kick some major butt. My heart goes out to those who are in the situation that Butta and her siblings were in. In the end Andre got what he deserves I only wish that the kids life would have turn out a little different. All in all this was a Fiyah read. I tip my hat to Blaque great job.

Authoress Blaque has burst into this literature world with this entertaining yet sad tale of Butterflii Fields. This poor girl just can't seem to catch a break. The story was written in such a compelling way, with great detail that you could visual the events as they unfolded. I finished this book in two hours! I couldn't put it down once I started! Authoress Blaque has a promising career ahead of her and I can NOT wait for future releases from this authoress!! Job Well Done Blaque, 5 stars all the way!!

Lawddd "Exhale" took me on an emotional roller coaster. Butta and her siblings went through so much and I truly felt for her. I was saddened with the way that her life turned out, but I understand why she had the mindset that she did. I really wish that this was a full length novel because I believe that the author could have had a really good book if she would have expanded certain scenes. Overall, Exhale is a fast paced read that will keep you on the edge of your seat with an unexpected twist. I would have preferred a different ending but that's mainly bc I didn't want the book to end.

This book hooked me from the very first page and honestly, I am still thinking about it. I think this is fiction but it hurts my heart to know that there are really people that experience the things that Butta went through in real life. This was a very short read only like 55 pages but definitely worth it. There were a few typing errors but it didn't bother me. I was confused about one thing at the end so if anyone has any idea, please let me know. Why did Darrio shoot Reese???

I have read a lot of short stories, and many times I have finished them in a day, but this one couldn't hold my interest, I had to force myself to finish. It's a good story, not the typical five star that I give to g-street
