Michael Cargill has established himself as the world's leading authority on all things sarcastic, irreverent, and nonsensical. He first appeared in 2012 with a satirical news item about a stray car tyre causing chaos on the streets of Cambridge and since then his efforts have brought forth hundreds of hilarious observations and witticisms about the world we inhabit. From Justin Bieber's diary, to Vladimir Putin reviewing a glass of Coke, to Steve Jobs and Princess Diana speaking from heaven, and living proof that vegetarians are the real hunters, this isn't something anyone should miss out on.

I'm an author who lives in the sunny, green hills of England.

Over the years people had often said that I should write a book so, in mid 2011, I did just that! Anyone wondering which book of mine to read first should start with Shelter from Thunder; 'tis short and available for free.

Feedback of any kind is always welcome.

Book exchanged for a review~Per Goodreads rules~

Bits of Cargill is a collection of vignettes that are full of satire, humor, and otherwise making you think the ideas thru. Some of my favorites include Beauty Baggins's Horoscopes that just make you shake your head and chuckle for instances:Her Olympic Horoscopes where she thought she'd have a chance to go for walk instead of watching the games. Also her Christmas and New Year's horoscopes shared tiny bits of truth. Another favorite is Nurse Ratched that's right Nurse Ratched. Her thoughts on everyday life problems make you wonder if she's happy with her lot in life. Nurse Ratched dispensed with harsh critism ans sarcasm against her fellow man or woman. Honestly she thoughts made me chuckle and shake my head not in disgust or hate but in relief that it wasn't me she was talking too.

Like the author's works, he shows great care in weaving a story that is believable, funny, and genuine. My personal on this work is if your in the mood for satire and good shaking of your head kind at some of the nonsense people tell each other and themselves yet don't believe it themselves. I'm definitely looking for to this author's next book.

From the ho-hum to snorts & snickers and onward to laugh out loud moments, there’s a bit of something for everyone in this humorous anthology. Culled from Cargill’s website it’s all here for your entertainment in case you don’t want to troll through his medicine cabinet, um, I mean site in search of amusing tidbits to keep you occupied while you’re waiting in line, stuck in traffic or ruling from your throne.

Michael Cargill is so talented! How can his writing be so creepy in Underneath and then so hilariously funny in Bits of Cargill? I just don't get it... Some of the jokes were kind of lost on me because I am from the US and Michael is from England.

Basically, Bits of Cargill is a ton of little mini stories. My favorite though was the Nurse Ratched Advice Column. OH MY LORD! Too funny. Her tagline at the end of each insane piece of advice is "And if that doesn't work you should just kill yourself." But I probably just dropped a spoiler! Oh no....the Spoiler Police are at my front door! *Just put in the spoiler tag ma'am and no one gets hurt!*

I went that random on purpose. For real! I did it to kind of show you how quickly the pace of this book changes and just when it seems there is no way in hell that anything going on is making sense,,, BAM. Cargill throws in a great one-two punch at the end and nails it every time.

I like this guy's style and will definitely be reading more of his work in the future.

4 stars for making me actually laugh out loud while reading.

You go Michael.

Really enjoyed this latest addition to Michael's many book as I have the rest. This one had a differant tone that I wasn't used to from his books but have seen a lot on his blog. I read this in one sitting and it was very entertaining. My favorite parts were of course Justin Bieber's diary entry because who doesn't like a bit of Bieber bashing? It's right up there with Twilight bashing which I highly reccomend. If anyone out there has not yet visited Mr Cargill's blog I highly reccomend you do so. That way you can see some of the genius before you get the book. And you will.
This book gets 4/5 stars from me.

I received a free copy of this book for my honest review.

This is one of the most unusual collections of satires, vignettes, and short stories that I have ever read. This collection covers a bit of everything from Beiber bashing to how the casserole dish wishes for more out of life. Some of it is a bit out there, like beetles that cover soccer matches, but all is in good fun. If you are looking for something a bit unusualand defintely humerous this is the one to read. There is definetly something for everyone in this collection.
