Definitely the best in the series! I kept reading the series simply for Jake and Lil's story. Their characters tugged at me from book one, Maid for the Billionaire, and with the hints that got dropped in book two, For Love Or Legacy, I knew book three had to be their story.
I'm really glad I stuck with it, because Jake is heavenly. Watching him transform from a hardened bachelor into a kindhearted honest gentleman who cares not only for Lil, but for Lil's daughter.
Besides the budding romance between Lil and Jake I enjoyed the technological storyline with the hackers and Dom's company.
You can probably get away with just reading this one, without the other two. I'd recommend it. A book four is in the work, and I'll be honest - I'll probably read it.

I'm rating this my favorite book of the series so far because she keeps me interested. After the first book I didn't think I'd want to read about any other characters besides Dominic and Abby. Then I didn't think I'd want to read about anyone but Nicole and Stephan - and now I'll admit that when the fourth book comes out I will not be all that excited to read about Zhang and Rachid, but I will because lesson learned; they're all good, short reads. I've read all 3 books in three days as they take about 4-5 hours a piece and I'm not much a TV watcher. The only downfall I'd say this author has is that the characters are too forgiving way too quickly - it seems like their inner monologue is keeping them away from the other character, then they get together, then something insane happens that would take some people years to get over, but they're over it in a chapter and then they live happily ever after madly in love. While I understand that's what romance novels are about, a happy ending, but it just seems like you'll get through 75% of the book where they're building a relationship, 5% of the book is conflict, and the last 20% is them being madly in love. Nonetheless the reads kept me interested and I'll be looking for more to read from this author.

apesar de não ter uma trama super desenvolvida e ser mais ou menos previsivel.
a continuação da serie Legacy, sendo que o par romantico são Lil e Jake, personagens que já tinham entrado na primeira estória.
a estória pecou basicamente por não ter practicamente desafios em termos de personagens... com personalidades lineares que não despertaram grande interesse.
fica a porta entreaberta para a proxima estória.....
apesar de não ter uma trama super desenvolvida e ser mais ou menos previsivel.

Oh my goodness!!! This book was great! Read it in about 3.5 hours! This was the first boom the author wrote after going full time as an author and I could certainly tell!!! I loved the story with Jake and Lil. Anxiously awaiting book 4.

Another 2.5 stars, but I'm rounding down. Lil still seemed very immature, and while she did sorta redeem herself by the end, there could have been a better way to approach the problem that wasn't even really a problem.

I enjoyed Lil and Jake's love story. The plot is good and the pacing is steady. I did enjoy the first two in the series a lot more. I may continue the series, just not sure. Happy reading!

"Come conquistare un miliardario", terzo libro della Legacy Collection, scritto da Ruth Cardello.
Lil Dartley è la mamma della piccola Colby e sorella di Abby. I suoi sentimenti contrastanti con la sorella li avevamo già percepiti nel primo libro, ma ovviamente in questo vengono spiegate le motivazioni. Lil ha riferito tramite una telefonata quello che pensa di Dominic Corisi, del suo braccio destro Jake Walton e del loro lavoro, purtroppo è stata raggirata, la telefonata è stata registrata ed ora sono in procinto di divulgare il tutto. Si trova in una situazione caotica, i fotografi si appostano fuori di casa, giornalisti che la chiamano, e lei, non sa dove sbattere la testa. Le sue paure persistono facendola ricredere su alcune decisioni, dubita di tutti e crede che sua sorella sia soggiogata da Dominic. Insomma innamorarsi e sposarsi così in fretta con un miliardario che incute timore solo a vederlo…
Jake Walton, socio, braccio destro, o chi sa esattamente cosa di Dominic, ha il compito di rimediare al caos che ha combinato Lil, deve convincerla ad andare a New York e ad abitare in un posto sicuro lontano da occhi indiscreti. Il problema è che lui già l’aveva aiutata quando Abby e Dominic erano andati in Cina, lasciandola sola con la bambina, ed era rimasto affascinato da lei.

Sicuramente ho dimenticato qualcosa per volontà o perdita di memoria... chi lo sa?
Ribadisco anche che in questa storia ho amato Zhango e che sono contenta di rivederla nel prossimo libro perché immagino già che mi darà tanta soddisfazione.
Cosa penso di questa lettura? Beh una lettura veloce senza troppi fronzoli, qualche ora passata in compagnia della famiglia Corisi fa sempre piacere, una lettura che rilassa in una giornata frenetica.

Bedding the Billionaire is Book 3 in the Legacy Collection by Ruth Cardello, featuring a single mom, billionaire romance for Lillian Dartley and Jake Walton. Lil has a habit of making messes, and with her sister marrying a prominent billionaire like Dominic Corisi, she is now a target for anyone wanting information or something more sinister from them. When Jake is sent to watch over Lil and her baby daughter Colby, he is not prepared for the attraction and the protective feelings he feels. I loved watching this confirmed bachelor who swore he didn’t like kids fall for the single mom and her baby! Lil was very relatable as a young woman who doesn’t always make the best decisions, but wants to be a better example for her daughter. There was more emotion with this one, great chemistry, witty banter, a found family vibe, and a continuation of the business intrigue and suspense! This book also brought even more characters into an already interesting fictional world!

LOVE IS A MYTH - BLEH!!!
Ok Ok Ok... I totally missed this one... started reading Saving the Sheik and realized I missed book #3... Hells Bells... what's wrong with me... I'll tell you what's wrong... too many books on my TBR list.... Sorry Ruthie!!!
Jake and Lil... oh my!!! Funny how what we think we need and want is the complete opposite of what we get and are completely and totally happy with!!! I loved both of these characters... Jake trying to be all "stand up" like and Lil trying to be someone she's not just to prove a point and be like she thinks everyone wants her to be!!! Glad to see the rest of the crew making an appearance here and there... I completely miss with my whole heart... Abby and Dom... those two will always be my fave in this series!!
229 pages (kindle version) of pure heat.... oh and some funnies... some cuteness, and some more heat... LOL!! Those 229 pages flew by in one day... that's how effortless this is to read... Ruthie Cardello is one of the best writers I've come across lately!! She makes you feel like you're part of the story... like you're there.... Man do I wish I was there... hehehehe... in Jake's arms!!! Although.. that first time for Jake and Lil together, I have to admit... my heart was breaking and I literally wanted to smack the crap out of Jake...
Totally loved how each of them could throw each other off of their games with a look or a few words... mmm... delicious!!! AND the way Jake takes to Colby... melted my heart to puddle!!!
I gave this 4.5 stars... Now onto Saving the Sheik... still can't believe I missed #3!!!

All three books are character engaging.
What hooked me initially, Barnes and Noble offered the first book (Nook) in the series for free. At first I wasn't sure I could get excited about the story, a bit slow start. Once I got to the motivation for the story and Abby's introduction, my interest was peeked. I don regret reading the books...quite entertaining.
Each book is suspended with the fleshing out of the different characters that were introduced during the first book: Abby & Dominic, Nichole & Stephan, Lil & Jake...there's another one coming out...this one should be a fun read too.
In book three I enjoyed the introduction of the artist Carmen R. Sonnes...went on the website to check out her work, it's beautiful.

This book has the wrong title....it should be called "Changing the Billionaire" because that's what Lil does to Jake not bedding him.... It's was definitely my favorite in the series, the characters were adorable and throughout the story the original couple Dom and Abby were present wrapping up their story without taking away from the main characters......great book

Oh Boy !!!Bedding the Billionaire was worth the wait! I was impatiently waiting after Ruth's first two books.. I was in no way disappointed... I absolutely adore the pairing of Jake and Lil it left me breathless from the electricity between the two! Also it is a love story that will make you laugh our loud..Buy it and you will fall for series as I have.. you cannot go wrong!!

Another wonderful installment by Ruth Cardello in the Millionaire series. Witty characters, fun continuing story line and a good love story. I can't wait for book 4 in the series. Highly recommend anything that Ruth writes.

Ok this is more like it! Book one was pretty good. Book two left something to be desired. Book three rocked it!!!! Intrigue, excitement, tears, passion, and connection! All of it was covered in this book. Can't wait for book 4!!!

I enjoyed the book. It wasn't what I expected, I didn't think there was a lot of conflict and the "love" word seemed to come a little easier than I expected, but I liked Jake and Lil, and getting to catch up with some of the past books characters too.

Meh. It was okay. Nothing special. Nothing dramatic. Really it was just okay. Predictable and a fast read. Would I read it again? No. Would I recommend it? Only if you're bored and desperate for a mindless read.

Another stubborn billionaire succumbs to love
This is book 3 of The Legacy Collection and if haven’t already read books 1 and 2, I very strongly suggest that you start at the beginning and work your way through the wonderfully complex world of Corisi Enterprises and the growth of the man, the empire, the Legacy that is Dominic Corisi.
Book 3 focuses on his right-hand man and business partner, Jake Walton. And all I can say is Woah, ladies!! This man should come with a public health warning because not only is he hotter-than-the-sun hot, but he is smart, witty and unbelievably talented both in and out of the bedroom!
I liked Jake’s character in books1 and 2 because even though he’s professional and polished when he’s in business mode, his charm and personable nature often helps to get Dominic out of drought situations. He’s not easily ruffled and manages to keep a level-head… until he is tasked with looking after Lil Dartley and her six month old daughter Colby.
He’s usually calm and collected in difficult situations and always knows what to say to diffuse tension, but when faced with the whirlwind that is Lil… he finds himself perplexed and exasperated.
She’s the spirited younger sister of Dominic’s fiancée Abby - and whilst Abby is measured, diplomatic and demure, her sister is head-strong, impulsive and challenging. Characteristics that are proving difficult to contain and control in the wake of recent controversial issues and crisis’ that are keeping Dominic Corisi in the international limelight.
As Dominic’s chief ‘fixer’, Jake is sent in to initially help Lil adapt to the upcoming changes and media attention - but they hit trouble when Lil makes a media faux pas which requires Jake’s help to put right. The other issue is… they are insanely attracted to each other but both have their own problems when it comes to love. Jake has always believed that love is a myth that is so easily spoken but not shown. Stemming from his difficult and loveless relationship with his parents, he doesn’t think he’s capable of love or being loved. Lil on the other hand has been hurt by loves promises and scorned by disappointment and failure.
Unlike Jake, she believes true love to be possible, she just doesn’t ever think she will find it. After being dumped by her ex when she told him she was pregnant, Lil has accepted that no one will offer her what she truly wants. A love that is good, and true and honest. A love that’s not just for her, but for daughter. A love that allows her to follow her dreams and be the person she wants to be.
It’s their strained views on love that keep them apart at first, but as they have to spend more time together, the intimacy increases and the heat levels rise. The trouble is… the keep butting heads and just when it looks as though things are working out, something happens that blocks their path to each other.
Jake is definitely my favourite Legacy Alpha so far. He’s utterly close to alpha male perfection and as long as he can accept that love can be offered and received unconditionally, then I’m sure Lil, Abb, Marie and Nicole will keep him on the right journey.
Excellent story. Loved these two… and particularly the gorgeous relationship Jake builds with Lik’s daughter Colby. It’s incredibly sweet… and unbelievably hot!
Can’t wait for the next Legacy story to find out more the family and where everything is headed.
This is book 3 of The Legacy Collection and if haven’t already read books 1 and 2, I very strongly suggest that you start at the beginning and work your way through the wonderfully complex world of Corisi Enterprises and the growth of the man, the empire, the Legacy that is Dominic Corisi.
Book 3 focuses on his right-hand man and business partner, Jake Walton. And all I can say is Woah, ladies!! This man should come with a public health warning because not only is he hotter-than-the-sun hot, but he is smart, witty and unbelievably talented both in and out of the bedroom!
I liked Jake’s character in books1 and 2 because even though he’s professional and polished when he’s in business mode, his charm and personable nature often helps to get Dominic out of drought situations. He’s not easily ruffled and manages to keep a level-head… until he is tasked with looking after Lil Dartley and her six month old daughter Colby.
He’s usually calm and collected in difficult situations and always knows what to say to diffuse tension, but when faced with the whirlwind that is Lil… he finds himself perplexed and exasperated.
She’s the spirited younger sister of Dominic’s fiancée Abby - and whilst Abby is measured, diplomatic and demure, her sister is head-strong, impulsive and challenging. Characteristics that are proving difficult to contain and control in the wake of recent controversial issues and crisis’ that are keeping Dominic Corisi in the international limelight.
As Dominic’s chief ‘fixer’, Jake is sent in to initially help Lil adapt to the upcoming changes and media attention - but they hit trouble when Lil makes a media faux pas which requires Jake’s help to put right. The other issue is… they are insanely attracted to each other but both have their own problems when it comes to love. Jake has always believed that love is a myth that is so easily spoken but not shown. Stemming from his difficult and loveless relationship with his parents, he doesn’t think he’s capable of love or being loved. Lil on the other hand has been hurt by loves promises and scorned by disappointment and failure.
Unlike Jake, she believes true love to be possible, she just doesn’t ever think she will find it. After being dumped by her ex when she told him she was pregnant, Lil has accepted that no one will offer her what she truly wants. A love that is good, and true and honest. A love that’s not just for her, but for daughter. A love that allows her to follow her dreams and be the person she wants to be.
It’s their strained views on love that keep them apart at first, but as they have to spend more time together, the intimacy increases and the heat levels rise. The trouble is… the keep butting heads and just when it looks as though things are working out, something happens that blocks their path to each other.
Jake is definitely my favourite Legacy Alpha so far. He’s utterly close to alpha male perfection and as long as he can accept that love can be offered and received unconditionally, then I’m sure Lil, Abb, Marie and Nicole will keep him on the right journey.
Excellent story. Loved these two… and particularly the gorgeous relationship Jake builds with Lik’s daughter Colby. It’s incredibly sweet… and unbelievably hot!
Can’t wait for the next Legacy story to find out more the family and where everything is headed.

Alzi la mano chi come me aspettava la storia Jack e Lil dove molto brava è stata l'autrice nel lasciarci piccoli indizi nel primo volume. Jake è un personaggio fantastico, subisce un'evoluzione eclatante : trasformarsi da uno scapolo incallito in un gentiluomo onesto e di buon cuore che si prende cura non solo di Lil ma anche della figlia di Lil.
Lil ha l'abitudine di combinare guai e, con sua sorella che ha sposato un miliardario di spicco come Dominic Corisi, ora è un bersaglio per chiunque. Quando concede per sbaglio un’intervista telefonica Jack corre in suo aiuto, non sapendo che Lil è una abituata a combattere le sue battaglie.
L’attrazione è forte tra i due, lo è sin dal primo giorno, ma Jack non può tradire la fiducia di Dominic e soprattutto Lil gli fa provare cose che lo spaventano.

Una romantica storia d’amore, con picchi di umorismo e sentimenti. L’autrice ha anche approfondito il rapporto tra le due sorelle che presentava più di un problema.
Lil è una ragazza madre che cerca di crescere sua figlia circondata d’affetto e amore e a darle una stabilità economica. L’ho apprezzata molto perché anche lei è un bel personaggio che cresce ad ogni pagina del libro.
Il libro scorre velocemente, è davvero una lettura piacevole. Ora non vedo l’ora di leggere di Zhang e Rachid.

I think if I had my sister's new rich boyfriend offering to pay my bills I'd say yes, especially if I had a baby to take care of. Lil wants to be independent and take care of herself without making more mistakes. The problem is she's not good at that. She's so set on being independent that she's not willing to consider any future with Luke or that he could love her. Of course, he does a good job of being the man who doesn't believe in love.
This is a love story between two stubborn people who can't see that they're perfect for each other and could have a great future. It's beautiful when they figure it out.

Good read
Another good book in the legacy series. Each book gets better as the series develops, this is Jake and Lil's story, both are strong characters. Lil is Abby's sister who is about to marry Dominic a powerful billionaire and Jake is his partner and friend. Lil has made her fair share of mistakes and is not the most rational person and Jake is a very arrogant stick up the back rich guy but opposites attract and together they sizzle. They go through a lot of denial of how they feel but in the end the attraction is too much. A very entertaining book that covers a number of issues but also ramps up the temperature with hot sizzling action. Great read.

Laugh and Cry and Laugh Again
This book was so cute. Lil has appeared in the past books in the series and it kept being noted how she was a little outspoken. That outspoken nature had gotten her in some trouble. In this book her spunky nature toke the always in control Jake for a change in life status. This has been a great series and I am really happy that the characters keep growing from the first book in the series until here. I hope it continues in the rest of the series.
Their were a few questions left at the end of the book that I hope get answered in the next books.

Jake and Lil have been circling each other since Dominic and Abby first met. She's determined to be strong and independent for her daughter and to learn to fix things on her own. Jake wants her but doesn't do relationships or believe in love. They succumb to the lust they are feeling but then declare it's was a mistake. Here's the problem; despite Jake's declaration about relationships, he keeps coming back again and again. Lil is falling for him but refuses to give in. Once Jake finally realizes that he loves her it may be too late. Now he has to go big or go home in order to win her back.

Bedding the Billionaire
This was a fun book about about a serious genius business man -Jake and a single mom -Lil that is finishing up college so she can support her baby. This had characters from the previous book that I liked how this story included them but you could read them as stand alone stories as well. Genius of this author - Ruth Carrillo. Definitely recommend if you want to live a little and escape your own life issues.
