This huge three volume edition of Sir Thomas Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur is based on the Winchester manuscript and edited by Eugene Vinaver. The first volume contains an extensive and scholarly introduction by Vinaver, followed by the first few chapters of the text. The text carries on through volume two and half way through volume three. The last five hundred pages of volume three are taken up by a huge commentary to the text, in which Vinaver analyses sources material and other questions concerning Malory. The text also comes with a complete word glossary and in the footnotes to the text, Vinaver also supplies variant readings from Caxton's version of Le Morte d'Arthur. While the one volume edition of this text is easily obtainable, it is worth seeking out this three volume edition because of the wealth of extra material.
