Grow up Indian authors, there are plots, concepts, ideas beyond love and romance. It seems every IITian, IIMian, MBA or Software Engineer in India prefers to write love stories - either successful or failed.

In recent past I have read some similar sounding love stories by Indian authors. First few it was looking good but then later on they all sounded monotonus, there was no freshness of concept.

This is again a similar love story. There is nothing wrong with it and the reason I gave it 2 stars was only because there is no newness in concept.

I bought this book only because I had secured a signed copy of it at a book-signing event. I know now that I have a lot of patience because I forced myself to finish this book. Even if we leave aside the shoddy plot, the book has so many mistakes, I wonder who has done the proof-reading of the manuscript. The two female characters Riya and Sonam have been confused with one another a number of times. The language used does not have the quality expected from an author who has such a lot of hype created about him. When I had met the author, he spoke about Indians writing in a language which is actually foreign to them. According to him, that was the reason Indian authors should be respected more. I totally agree. But his point stands only when the language used is grammatically correct. It is not about the nationality, but about knowing a language properly, respecting it and paying attention to its grammatical rules when presenting something that is meant to be read by masses. Personally, I hated the book and finished it only as a challenge to myself.

book is really boring....More than a story..you feel like you are watching TLC channel..All the information about Mumbai,Delhi and Manali....I somehow managed to have courage to read this book till page number 121..but not more than it..So so disgusting.....had many expectations..First of all,.all the characters are so artificial. They don't have any other thoughts except Love which seems straight out of Yash Chopra Movie...There is no option of giving half rating...otherwise I would have given it..Total waste of Money and time......

I don't have the words nor the inclination to write how utterly ridiculous this book pile of crap was. It was one and a half hours of my life that I'm never getting back.

Fuck you, book.

The book which needs to be avoided !!

I picked this piece of work due to the author Sudeep Nagarkar's impressive earlier works but little did i know that 'That's the way we met' will never meet my heart.

In simple words, to define my experience with this book is,
->There is a protagonist and a girl he loves more than anything.
->The novel starts with a gripping tale about the love of his life missing and admitted to hospital but it all shatters when it is revealed as a nightmare.
->No way the title is related to the entire story. The author didnt mention a single line about how the lead characters met. They are in love from page 0.
->They go on a date till 80% of the book with another couple which happens to be respective friends.
->The girl gets social responsibility to save her family and to live up to promise made by her mom.
->So, the girl dumps our lead character, he writes this crap story as a book and i wasted my valentine's week by picking up this book.(All through my valentine's week, the boring dating was told and retold like forever)

P.S: If someone wants to pick a Sudeep Nagarkar's book go for 'Sorry you are not my type'.

Being Nagarkar's second book, it can't be termed excellent. Yes, it was a decent book with not a great plot. It was just like any other Indian love story. The suspense was constructed beautifully; but who knew the author himself would forget about it soon.

There is one main sub-plot that goes around the marriage of the protagonist-Aadi's friend, Mohit. There is yet another drawback around this part. In the book, there is a mention that Mohit found a good partner in Riya. Ok, so what are we readers to conclude from such a sentence-that Mohit likes Riya, in spite of having a love marriage with a girl of his choice??

Then there's another part, where the two couples go on a trip to Delhi where there in an unnecessary repetition by stating that Delhi isn't as bad as the Mumbaikars(people from Mumbai) think! The way Sudeep described the city can't be mistaken for though! He has done this in an exceptionally beautiful manner-from the metro stations to their guest house.

On the whole, there were few spelling and grammatical errors, which when ignored make it a decent book to read.

To be honest I have never expected this from Sudeep after reading You’re the Password to My Life. He has written that so well, but this time I am quite disappointed.
The Story has nothing different. Try to be Nicholas Sparks is far away with such dramas. If only tragic ends lead to be THE NICKOLAS SPARKS, then this will never gonna happen sooner or later. Not a bit of interest it has created in me while reading it. Seriously!!!
Moreover to this, it is a epitome of Typographical and editing errors, that ever have seen in any book from Random House Publication. Also, the grammar is poor, or more correctly could be defined as worst. This ruined the whole of fun, I thought, if I read something from him.

Not a bit close to a normal drama. Waste of time at all.

For me it deserves: 1.5/5.0

Based on review on few sites, i planned to read this stuff.
But believe me except a catchy title there is nothing fancy.
The story is on simple plot and having very plain narration.
Just one thing that will touch emotionally, is the end.

I suggest this only if one has nothing to do, nothing means total void or somebody wants to practice on reading simple language.

I think the review that does not just applies to the particular book. But all I see is that every young Indian author writes about Romance and nothing else.
This is yet another teenage love story which does not contain any fresh elements. One time readable.

I personally liked this book more than the first one, few things left unsaid. For things are mentioned clear and have been explained properly wherever necessary. A good book to read I would say.

If I strive to put words together for describing this piece of work, then I would have put more effort into it than the author actually did.

What can I say about this masterpiece. Should I start with the cliches, the weapon the author chose to kill the readers with. The bland characters that makes you want to pull your hear with every dialogue that comes out of their mouths. The out of place jokes, that are so bad that I could put some random words out of a dictionary and it would still be funnier than this. Or the excruciating number of details about how Riya dressed each day, how much make-up she wore, what perfume she had.

It reads out like the journal of teenage girl keeping track of the day to day happenings with her boyfriend. But here it is the guy narrating the story and it is just weird listening to him talk like a teenage girl that cannot keep quite about how much in love she has.
I get it that it was real story that happened to the writer, so he went all out with the stupid descriptions about the girl and making her the most perfect woman that ever walked on earth.
But I don't get how the readers get so into this story which can also be titled as the 'wardrobe list of Riya', and made it a national best seller.

I cannot state what is wrong and what is right with this book. There are people who like these kind of stories (I know it is weird calling it a story, even though it lacks any plot) and I cannot mock about this being a waste of time a money for their sake.
But I just can't hold it back.
You the reader might forget that Aadi loves Riya, and that they both are very lucky to have each other. But fear not, cause the author makes sure you will remember it by reminding you at every other page.
Seriously guys they are so much in love that I started to think that it is time for the English dictionary to change the meaning of love to their picture.

I'm always on the hate bandwagon on Chetan Bhagat, and though that he has ruined Indian Novels. But now all I hope is that there are more books like Chetan Bhagat's.

This is the first book of the author I've read. Initially reading the story was full of lovely romantic moments to read. Yeah, I felt the digesting part of the story so long to read. But knowing deep down that after every unknown digestion part of the story, a thrilling revelation is yet to come. The ending was for sure a heart breaking one .

Good or bad, right or wrong, light or dark, positive or negative, or any other opposite comparison to compare, time can change any thing. For the first part of my reading journey in this book, I mentally had a view of not liking the book and author's word till now, but as time went by and I completed the book, my temporary mental view was changed completely, loving the wise story to read, courageous author to follow and read more of his other novels .

Thank you to author Sudeep Nagarkar for sharing his story through this book. A huge respect, love, compassion and hope to the author. You have left a pat of inspiration on my shoulder through this book.

Aditya and Riya after getting separated, now are together, amidst the dark clouds hovering upon their relationship. Everything is going great between them, they both love each other more now. It is said that going away from your loved ones keeps you close to them. With Riya being his side, and his new friendship with Mohit, everything seems amazing and right in his life. They helped Mohit to set up his life with Sonam. They all went for a little vacation, which was a turning point in Mohit and Sonam's relationship. But fate has stored something else for Riya and Aditya. After being back from vacation nothing was right with them now, some other thing hooked them away from each other, and this was the turning point of their relationship.

This book kept me hooked till the end of the page and this beautiful love story will forever be in my heart.
We never know what destiny has planned for us.

This book is complete as it has everything, emotions, friendship, family and most importantly love.

I read one of your book earlier i.e. you're the password to my life. I didn't like that book and decided not to read any further romantic fiction books. But before giving up, I tried to read one more book of yours and make a proper judgement. But now I am clear, that these type of book doesn't suits me !!

You writing style, editing is fine. The way you screenplay things, keeping suspense in between to get viewers attention is good. But I feel you are missing the concept of love. There is thin line between Lust and Love. Somehow, I feel your book are concentrating more on this lust factor than Love. And may be because of that I don't feel the connect? Not sure. This is reason I stopped in between and decided not to read any further.

Sorry for this review. May be it didn't suits me !!

I went in with zero expectations.. but this is a torture at another level.. it's probably the worst book I have read so far, by some margin. And that's saying a whole lot because I have read all kinds of junk.

It's so banal and boring that looks like the proofreader/editor couldn't bear it either -- there are spelling, grammatical and logic 101 errors.

This thought process (of new age Indian authors) that a Bollywood script can be made into a book and such material caters to a section of audience is damaging. I feel like the author has personally insulted and violated me.

PS: This book is one of a kind; it has the power to make you fall out of love.

First of all am disappointed that the most reputed publishers have not been able to clear the typos. They are just too many errors. The story and the dialogues are extremely cheessy and non real. Typical bollywoodish story. The title does not match with the story. Too many unnecessary details about the vacation and other descriptions.
But having said that it's a light book which is quite good 'timepass' kind of a reading. I liked the couple Mohit & Sonam. They're story seemed real and the punjabi wedding was described in a wonderful way..

I don't know if i am wrong but there was no actual plot in this entire book. It was predictable except for the last incident every single thing was predictable. I read it because i have this unwritten rule that once i start a book i need to finish it off.
I personally did not like any of it. I mean the writing was quite decent but there was no practical thing to hold on to and look forward to.

Just too much of boring romance, I did not see any real purpose in his writing. I clearly lacks political correctness. So disappointed with the author. Waste of time and energy at best!

Anyway, it's going to test the patience of reader in you!

Overall the story is very touching and beautifully narrated hence that minor lapses can be overseen as the story delivers what the author is known for - complete package of romance mixed with emotions and passion. Easy read and good to pickup for the beginners.

This book is a sequel of "few things left unsaid" . If you are reading this book, then you truly need a better book . At the ending, I felt like writer is doing promotion of his previous "few things left unsaid" book.
