(I finished this book in one weekend... holy....)
Today, in conversation with my priest's wife about the history of Bulgarian, Communist propaganda, I came to the conclusion that history is best told through the lens of religious movements and ideologies. After all, Byzantium did not fall because of political theory, race, or economic instability, but religious infiltration by Islamic Turks; Russia did not Communize because of political theory, race, or economic instability, but the widespread embrace of radical Atheism; Ancient Greece was not built upon political theory, race, or economic theory, but pagan Polytheism; America is not built upon political theory, race, or economic theory, but Enlightenment Humanism (which includes Protestantism). Therefore, when discussing any historic event, the issue of a religious connection should always be considered.
Enter 9/11: an infamous day that represents the symbolic transformation of prosperity into destitution and security into fear. Mainstream narratives will tell you that the only religions connected to this day are Islam and the "Evangelical Christians that rose up against it!" (said in a thick, Southern drawl). Well, not so fast. S.K. Bain, the writer of this, debatably, schizophrenically-minded book, has a different thesis in mind: the attacks of 9/11 were actually planned, ritual, human sacrifices to invoke and appease demonic deities. While he does bring up some strange "coincidences" of the day, which include strikingly prevalent occult numerology (like, more than you would expect; it gets me particularly wide-eyed in discussion of the Pentagon strike) and symbology (which is known to be used as a tool of psychological warfare to arrest the development of the young brain), I believe in a much simpler, less conspiratorial view that keeps intact the demonic influence of the attacks (which any murder, let alone mass murder, has).
9/11, in my view, *was* a human sacrifice to demonic entities but not *explicitly* so. What I mean is this: I do believe that Bush, the CIA, and many other powerful forces (especially in banking) did have foreknowledge to the attacks and let them happen to usher in stronger surveillance through the Patriot Act, a reason to fight in the Middle East, cover up financial mismanagement, and get some of that lusted-after fiat cash (all of which happened). They were an explicit sacrifice to the appeasement of vices, so, logically, an implicit sacrifice to the demons which are behind those vices. Any murder can be said to be a demonic sacrifice, this one just happened to be on a larger scale. [This view is my current opinion, but, if in my endless quest for Truth (super corny sounding, I know) I find some stronger evidence of Bain's "explicit" stance or some other fringe view, my opinion will probably change.]
Now, in regards to the numerical and spiritual/occult symbology surrounding 9/11, my worldview-which I try to filter through Orthodox Christian morals and dogma-(I think) explains these best as the accompanying signs of a spiritual manifestation, which, when one event causes the souls of thousands of people in one of the most corrupt U.S. cities to leave their bodies, would be remarkably prevalent and dark like a sheet of burnt steel just beginning to rust indefinitely. Of course, I am not a theologian or even slightly trained enough to speak on such mysteries, but, in my finite intellect, it seems a plausible answer to those demonic signs, wonders, and symbols that do objectively find themselves scattered all over the events.
To put my thoughts on this book in one sentence: I gained a lot but lost more (my certainty of what happened that day, that is). Then again, is it not the common, questionable property of all 9/11 media to leave the consumer more confused in the end?
