WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST READ!!

Sometimes I have to keep it real and ask myself these questions.

Was it good...YES

Was it weird....YES

Did I like it....I don't even f'ing KNOW!

Did I want to quit reading a million times...YES

Did I want to continue on because I had to know how it ends....YES

Was I aggravated to no end...YES

Has anyone ever heard of chronological order...YES....NO...MAYBE SO?

Well apparently that thing that's taught in kindergarten chronological order and ABC order and all that STUFF....haunts us as adults because it drove me CRAZY that this book didn't really care about chronology!!!

However I do like that out of the box thinking so with creativity my new mantra i marched on!!!!

Am I happy about marching on.....I still don't know!!!

Did I finish this fic...yes and that's about all I can say at this point!

The writing is great absolutely fabulous I just don't like the style that it's written in......flip flopping past, present, present past, past, present, past, present, past, past and then current was just a little too much for me.

However you should remember I read this book to the last word....yea sometimes we torture ourselves in the best way:)

"Some might say this was love lost, but you can't lose a love that you carry inside you forever…"

"I was Edward's everything. He was my forever."

Oh my… This book was *sigh* so perfect… so beautiful… so heartbreaking… so utterly complete. This is one of the best books I have ever read. I loved the writing style. I have found another favorite author. I plan to read everything I can find from Belladonnacullen. This is a life-long story that starts with a dream-filled, but lost teenaged girl and ends with grown-up dreams fulfilled. "I had lived in love, and I ended loved back." "I've decided that real love goes on forever." Bella's journey is one of great joy, excitement, pure bliss, doubt, heartbreak, loss, sadness, self-discovery, forgiveness, and undying, unbreakable forever love. I cannot recommend this book highly enough! I can tell this story will stay in my heart for a very long time to come.

""Heaven," he muttered. "You almost make me believe in it.""

"There was only one time in my life when I wasn't alone, Bella."

"You're my home, Edward."

"I held back the word 'forever', but my heart knew it with certainty. No matter where I went, I'd given away a piece of myself. It was irrevocable. He'd have me for the rest of his life."

"I loved Edward Cullen without reservation. He was the light of my life. He was my launching point. He took a girl and he made her a woman, and then he betrayed that woman completely. You shouldn't love someone like that forever. But sometimes, sometimes you do-despite yourself."

"I once wrote "To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die." I was wrong. It's the living that counts. Living by Bella's side was such a heavenly way to live…"

"She was pretty, but it was her words that pulled me in. They were the anchor that kept me from drifting. Her words were stunning."

"I touched her back. I whispered in her ear. I was lost."

"Loving Bella Swan was the beginning and the end of everything. It sliced me open, pinned me down and kept me immobile, until the only possible outcome was certain disaster."

"You're not the one that got away, Bella. You're the one. The only one."

"To A Stranger by Walt Whitman
Passing stranger! you do not know
How longingly I look upon you,
You must be he I was seeking,
Or she I was seeking
It comes to me as a dream

I have somewhere surely
Lived a life of joy with you,
All is recall'd as we flit by each other,
Fluid, affectionate, chaste, matured,

You grew up with me,
Were a boy with me or a girl with me,
I ate with you and slept with you, your body has become
not yours only nor left my body mine only,

You give me the pleasure of your eyes,
face, flesh as we pass,
You take of my beard, breast, hands,
in return,

I am not to speak to you, I am to think of you
when I sit alone or wake at night, alone
I am to wait, I do not doubt I am to meet you again
I am to see to it that I do not lose you.

I love this story with my whole heart.
'There Is A Light' was a pure joy to read.
To this date, this well hidden pearl is one of the best reads of my entire life. The author really needs to get paid for writing this little treasure..

This was 1987; before the Internet, before Twitter, before Facebook – this was back when it was still possible for people not to know about things: big things - like bands, and little things - like G-spots.
"I was his everything and he was my forever."
"Jacob got his wish. He flies fighter jets. And I got my wish...I have you here with me. What about you? what do you wish Bella?
"I wish you'd kiss me"
And he did."
This was a brilliant and epic story. Not too long and not too short. It was perfect really. I wouldn´t change a thing about it. The writing style and the story itself were so beautiful and it really left me nostalgic. It had so many ups and downs, and so many questions that were left unanswered to the very end. The author tortured me to the absolute last chapter, if it would be a happy ending or not. I am so glad I didn´t read this as a WIP because the suspense of it was almost brutal at times. Read it, and you´ll see what I mean. But I am so happy I finally read this. This breathtakng story will stay with me forever. The perfection of it almost gave me chills. Just don't expect a farytale love. Thos is life. And sometimes life has a happily ever after. And sometimes...it doesn't.

I will definitely read more from this author. It is evident that she has a talent.
"Why didn't we stay kissing forever?"
It all starts with the question "Do you know the Masen´s" . I don´t wanna give away anything of the story, but it´s the epic tale of a a 16 year old small town girl and a rockstar twice her age...

THIS GIRL NEEDS TO PUBLISH THIS EPIC AND BEAUTIFUL STORY. If the fact that this is a Twilight fan fictin is holding you back. Then just get over yourself already. This has absolutely nothing to do with it. The only thing that is the same are the names. And you are really missing out if you don´t read this. If you liked the book The Sweet Gum Tree, then you will love this.

When you are finished reading, don´t forget to read the outtakes.

I enjoyed this fan fiction way more than I expected to. I’m so glad it wasn’t ridiculously long either. I’m not a huge fan of long books.

"Loving Bella Swan was the beginning and the end of everything. It sliced me open, pinned me down, and kept me immobile, until the only possible outcome was certain disaster."

Bella Swan is telling her daughter a story about her growing up. She begins with when she was sixteen and introduced to a band named the Masen’s by high school friends Jacob and Seth. Her mother is MIA and her father is an alcoholic and so she relies on strength through these two guys who both love her.

Edward Cullen is the lead singer of the Masen’s and is captivating. Seth and Jacob introduce Bella to the band and she in entranced by Edward. Bella lusts after him, meets him, and eventually falls in love with him.

It goes through their journey and heartbreak and back again. This journey spans over a period of twenty-fivish years.

I did struggle in a few parts a little bit with the switching from present and past constantly but it kept you guessing about the current details and current state of her relationship with Edward. Also their age difference was a little creepy but I tried to look past that.

Side Notes:

☆♥ `•.¸.•´ ♥ ☆.¸¸.•´¯`♥ THIS STORY IS EPIC!!!!

I. HAVE. NEVER. IN. MY. LIFE. READ. A. BOOK. LIKE. THIS.

This book is so unbelievably amazing and perfect in every single way. Writing a review that would do it justice is damn near impossible, so I'm not even going to attempt it.

“…this is, like, golden. This is fucking beautiful. It’s like a love story masquerading as a serious piece of literature. Or, it’s serious literature that people will actually read…. because it’s a love story. But it’s better, too… It’s current, and deep… and there are layers, and… just wow.”

You know how most books you can compare to another and say it gave you the same feeling??? Well, not this one. This is book has nothing. It is the most original piece of writing I have ever read. It's truly one of a kind.

If you are looking for a story with EVERYTHING, this is definitely for you!

(So, what's the story about??? I can't really say, but I will give you one word: ROCK STAR.)

Mmmm? What to say? What to say that I haven't already written before? I've had a break from reading the last few weeks as I traveled around Italy for my summer holidays not enough time and too uch sunshine to read my iPad by (knew I should have bought a Kindle hahaha!)

I came across this Fan Fiction by accident, as all good things right? Stumbled upon when you're not looking...But There is a Light is like a really great Chianti not to be rushed and once finished you want to remember the pleasure of it so you place a candle in the bottle neck to light the way through the crap that you are bound to come across from other authors. Belladonnacullen weaves her story through 25 years beginning when Bella is a young 16 year old school girl and Edward a 30 year old rocker...Don't worry there is no inappropriate relationship at this point though an attraction starts and a friendship develops via unusual means drawing our protagonists closer together. This isn't a long read, 22 chapters but each in crafted to move the story on and keep you guessing; at no time is the ending clear cut, it flits backwards and forwards across time, present and past events are told out of sequence and it's a guessing game as to how our normal cast of characters will play out in this arena. In the end it is all worth it it keeps you guessing and on your toes and nothing is a given; TIAL's Bella is a great study of young, misplaced love and the optimism that one somehow loses once we leave our teens!

I’m the devil’s son straight out of hell
And you’re an angel with a haunted heart
If you’re smart you’d run and protect yourself
From the demon living in the dark
There’s nothing to be gained, 'cause I can never change
And you can never understand my sickness
I’ll never understand my sickness

Save yourself
From a life full of lies and a heart full of pain and sorrow
Save yourself
From the choices I make, 'cause nothing but failure follows me
Save yourself

You’re the perfect drug when it hurts like hell
I've never needed anyone so much
There’s no one else I love and I curse myself
'Cause the right thing is to give you up

I’m overcome by shame cause I can never change
And you can never understand my sickness
I’ll never understand my sickness

Save yourself

I think the lyrics above describe the main character, Edward, better than I ever could. I don't have much to add. This story was just beautiful and delivered a constant dull ache to my heart. The flashbacks out of chronological order kept you guessing, loving and hurting all at the same time. It's a story about a love that never ends and about giving your heart a second chance to feel it again. Definitely a favorite.

DNF

After the first 5 or 6 chapters, I realized I wasn't feeling any connection to the story or its characters. I know it's supposed to get better as far as not being all over the place on a timeline, but i really wasn't feeling it at all.
