Arielle and the Three Wolves

Rate this book
[Ménage Amour: Erotic Paranormal Ménage a Quatre Romance, M/F/M/M, werewolves, spanking, HEA]

Arielle Banks is a veterinarian living alone in the small town of Wolf Creek. One night she hits a wolf with her car and takes it home to nurse it back to health. The wolf is tame and becomes her only company, a comfort for which she is grateful. A month after the accident, she wakes to find a handsome man has taken the place of the wolf.

Jason Wildback is a shape-shifter. After fate brings him to Arielle’s house, he fills the void that’s been in her life for so long. Their passion for each other grows. There is one catch, though. Jason has two brothers, easygoing Kyle and troubled, chivalrous Luke. Jason wants Arielle to take them on as her mates as well.

She can give her body to all three men, but can she give them her heart?

Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings.

The overall story was great, I loved how Arielle always tried to be selfless, and do the right thing. For instance stopping to make sure “the wolf” was ok and then taking him home with her when she realized he wasn’t.

Then when she gets to meet his brothers, man are there sparks! But they eventually smooth things out, I particularly love how she and the youngest brother get together at the end. But I don’t want to give too much away.

What I was uncomfortable with was ho dictatorial the elder brother was towards her. It seemed as if he was bullying her, and to me that is just wrong. Yes, I realize they were supposed to be having a sort of D/s relationship, and no, I don’t actively participate in that lifestyle. But from some of the relationships that I have seen and read about its not like that. Of course I can be wrong, as I said I don’t live the lifestyle.

But either way it was a lovely story.

Bad. Bad. Bad. I started to worry after the female lead hits the wolf with her SUV and than actually thinks of leaving it because she's afraid. I mean what kind of veterinarian would hit an animal and then think of abandoning it? But I pressed on, gotta give it a chance, right? A paragraph or two down she decides to take it home rather then the clinic, even though she had hit it in the chest or abdomen and then run over it's leg, shattering it. She was tired, none of cages at the office were big enough and she had "most" of the things needed to take of him. I have so many more problems with just the very first chapter I'm actually surprised I didn't stop reading right then...guess I'm a sucker for punishment.

Anyway, if you like books where the 'heroine' worries about looking like the wicked witch of the west while she has a bleeding & possibly dying wolf in her car and the 'hero' is an arrogant, know-it-all jerk who says thing like "You're not supposed to understand me. All that matters is that I understand you." and "I'm not questioned. I'm obeyed." then this just might be the book for you. Otherwise do yourself a favor and save your money for a book that you'll actually enjoy. The only thing that saved this book from being thrown at the wall and then into the trash can was that it was an ebook. But I did take great pleasure hitting that nice big, bright red 'DELETE' button.

Just no. Not even halfway through this book and I'm like 'what the hell am I reading?' I mean no 'submissive' would ever behave the way she Arielle is behaving. She is being a doormat. She vacillates in her choices. She is a pushover. And a true alpha wolf is a bully. He takes his time. Especially a wolf. I love shifter menage stories but this one is just plain bad. I never knew a couple of leads to make me wish they weren't created.

I don't want to get into it, but let me just say that this is not a great book.
