A lady from the Catholic Center on campus gave this to Javi and I to read. It is terrible. I'm maybe halfway through and it is making me rage-y. It is demeaning (written in cute cartoons so your 3 brain cells can understand!), stupid, and inaccurate. The lady who gave it to us clearly didn't listen to us. I was raised by Catholics and went to Catholic schools for 10 years. I know what the frick Catholicism is.

In addition to being written for babies, it is just wrong on several points. For example, it says that the Old Testament taught us that God is loving, compassionate, and merciful. I'm sorry, did you mean the New Testament? It's old so I could see how maybe you got confused. But the take-away message of the Old Testament is basically that God is loving, but in a not nice way. He is a jealous God.

This book is insulting to anyone who knows ANYTHING about Christianity or Catholicism. It is poorly written and has done more to make me dislike the Catholic who gave it to me than bring me closer to the one I plan to marry.

Amusing and funny: it gave me and my fiance a good laugh as we read through it. It presented a lot of good points that we had already talked about. I'd recommend anyone considering marrying into the Catholic Church.

Fun to read and simple explanations are handy for non Catholic spouses and the Catholics that are a few years removed from their early education

I was told it was funny, a few of the drawings were but mostly it wasn't. I think it is good if you have a catholic partner and don't know much/ anything about the faith but most of it was straight forward to me so feel it didn't dive too deeply.
