SK can seriously do no wrong. She just creates hit after hit. I felt like this book was a little bit different than the others. Although they are all about love, relationships, and of course that spice; this one just had a little bit more feeling to me because it had a hardcore unbreakable family involved. I loved Lance and Miranda's relationship from the beginning. There was just something there between them that warms your heart. They fought so hard at times, that it made them love even harder, and love harder they did, as is SK's trademark. There was so much passion between these two; some of the best that I have read. This book was jammed packed full of drama as well. The beginning did start of a bit dreary, but it really set the foundation for all that was to come. The Barron series is surely going to be another page turner, and the fire between Skye (Miranda's bestie) and Reed (Lance's brother) I can tell is literally going to burn the pages...Well done SK!

Being Barron is the start of a new series by SK, an author whose work I just discovered and really enjoy. I am officially a fan.

This is another page-turner. True, the Barrons are filthy rich, but the world that SK creates is a believable one with flawed characters, everyday dialogue, and page-turning drama without melodrama. Not an easy feat to accomplish, but she does it with such finesse that I don’t want to stop reading until I reach “The End.”

The pacing is excellent, so that each new scene reveals something else about the characters and their situation(s).

Okay, I’m off to load up my Kindle with more of her books. A+!!

Okay this is how you start a new series. SK did her thang again, I didn't know if to like or hate the Barrons family. Lane a was piece of work from the get go. Randi and Lane was HOT from the begining, now Cookey Tina had way to many issues. (3RW family know) lol Now Reed is my new Boothang( ya'll betta ask somebody lol) I can't wait to see what goin to happen next with this family and friends. If you enjoyed SCH series, you will LOVE this one too. I laughed and cried, got pissed and mad. stayed up all night just to see what would happen next. This is a must read, you won't be mad.

I want to be with Baron he is sexy alpha bad ass , he is king of the hill and I Randi is his queen lucky lady. I loved this story , the chemistry between Randi and Baron was so explosive it blew up the page. The story had so many twists and turns it will keep you on your toes. When you think you know what's going to happen something totally different does. The Barons are one sexy family and I cant wait tho read the next chapter in this series.

I have just discovered this author and added her to my list of authors who I enjoy reading. This is my second book by this author. This is book 1 in a 3 book series.

This is Lane and Miranda's story. I liked them as a couple but I have to admit to wanting to give Lane the beat-down of his life for all the mistakes he made in the relationship. I was definitely on Team Miranda. Robbie Miranda's best friend had me laughing my head off with his antics, there are some good laugh out loud moments.

The story was fast paced which I enjoy. I love the fact that this author does not waste words on describing what the surroundings look like and all that kind of stuff. She keeps the story focused on the couple which I absolutely love that about her style of writing.

I would recommend this book as a good read!

I REALLY liked this book, although the woman's choice of employment in her younger days was somewhat of a cliche`. Regardless, that didn't really detract from the quality story, which kept me very engaged throughout the entirety of the book.

Applause Applause Applause. I wish that I could give this book 10 stars!!! SK did not disappoint us at all. This book is full of passion, drama and real life relationship problems that many of us WISH we had in our life. Both the main male and female characters are both strong willed and seem to bump heads from the beginning. This soon turns to be the reason that they cant stand to be away from each other. This engaging love story made me fall for Lane Barron despite his arrogant and controlling personality. Lane is a true "Alpha" male that came from an affluent family. Miranda Turner is a single, feisty independent woman that is making her life do what it do. Neither of them suspect what is about to happen.

Don't sleep on my girl SK. She is fiyah. Believe that.

Nothing changed...except I l loved it even more...Reading it for the second time.

Being Barron was a great read!! Lane and Miranda had great chemistry and attraction to each other even though Miranda didn’t want to admit to it. Lane was determined that he was going to have her no matter what with Miranda fighting him at every turn in the road. This was definitely a page turner and a must read!!! I couldn’t put it down, it definitely left me wanting more and I can’t wait to read more of this series!! SK you definitely did your thang!!

I would have given this book 5 stars but editing was needed. There were scenes where characters names were incorrect or wrong use of grammar, but other than that, I truly loved this book. Great plot&wonderful characters. All of the characters were three-dimensional and also very hilarious. There was a wonderful family dynamic & great plot twists. The author constantly keeps you guessing. I would definitely recommend this book. Can't wait for the next one.

This book kept me engaged from beginning to end. I didn't want to put it down, I wanted to know what was going to happen next. Lane and Randi made a great couple once they got themselves together. I loved the fact C.J's best interest came first before all the foolery.

I liked how Randi wasn't easily intimidated especially by Adelle, also Adelle gave excellent advice to Randi about how to handle Barron men. Lane was my type of man loved his family deeply and very protective.

I'm looking forward to book two in the Barron triology.

This was my first SK book and I really enjoyed it. Randi and Lane had me ready to slap the two of them throughout this book but it was nice to read their love story unravel. There were a lot of surprises that I never expected. Overall I enjoyed it so much that I am looking forward to reading book two in the series.

First let me say this .. it was character in this book that had me READY TO PUT THEM PAW ON HER TINA ..once you read this book u know what i mean had to put the book down i was so mad ..now that is a writer for you evoke so much emotions...

This Family had so Much DRAMA it was not funny but with all that i did fall in love with them...love hate thing going on... this new series has it all and than some .. lovem hate, drama, steamy steamy love scenes, by the way you are going to need a fan and something cold to drink ....

Lance -- thats the man there with his secret keeping butt what i loved about his Character he was flawed ..but his hear was always in the right place with his family and loved ones ..Hes sexy as he wanna be but Bossy has hell...

Randi --i love her too take charge woman did what she had to do to make it...also took no stuff said whats on her mind but she met her Match in Lance i think they both did love the chemistry between them hot the chains really one seen with 4 people hmmmmmmmmm all i am gonna say...also her love for her sister who passed away than raising her nephew she is a strong woman inside and out..sometimes even strong women needs someone to hold them too...

what i can say is that Being Barron is 5 stars probably deserves more than that..so many things that happens in this book u will not believe it some will leave you with your mouth open wide and than leave u speechless with the outcome of it...Sk again u have done your thing with this book great job i hope u was not worried about it not living up to your other books this one knocks it out the ball park...KUDOS ..keep em coming i am ready for Reed story Or Taylor lol...

WOW I am now hooked to SK's books. SK writes the most amazing, brilliant romance books that I am becoming addicted to. The plot was well written and believable, it keeps you hooked. There was nothing predicable about it and the story flowed well.

I like how the heroines are portrayed in SK's books, where they are independent yet willing to give in when it is necessary. They don't come across as "I-don't-need-a-man" or "I-can-do-anything-better-than-a-man" like Raven in Angel's wrath( I still hate her). Not to worry no Raven wannabes here -yeh!!!

Miranda was a good, strong, loving heroine. She wanted Lane and she took him. There where no games being played, she stood by and for her man, which I liked. You could feel the chemistry these two had for each other. Also the love the Barron's had for each other. The secondary characters where well written and interesting.

Lane was one hot yummy alpha male, he had the right amount of arrogance, dominance and alphaness in him. Being hot also helped.

The sex in this book is scorching hot and well written and certainly not boring. I cannot wait to read more on these interesting Barrons.

This is one romance author I would recommend to anyone who likes a well written, interesting romance book. I have read 2 of her books back 2 back and I can say that they are different and will keep you glued to the pages. They are not repetitive in their story line or the romance and the males will certainly make you drool.

Go on, pick up an SK book, so far I am impressed which is hard to do ******

SUMMARY

The wealthy, powerful Barron family is accustomed to getting everything they want in life. Lane Barron has stepped up to the head of the family after the death of his father. Growing up as a Barron has taught them all family is first always! After his brother Clinton and his mistress are tragically killed in a car accident. Clinton leaves behind a wife, 2 daughters and a son from his mistress who is now staying with Miranda Turner, the sister of Clinton's mistress. Lane is determined he be raised as a Barron but Miranda won't hear it. Was this really an accident? Drama, red hot romance and suspense at it's best!!

THOUGHTS

Great opening for the Barron Family series! Bravo to author SK for starting the series off with a bang! Although wealthy and powerful the entire Barron family is likable, except for Tina (Clinton's wife). Both Lane and Miranda are strong likable characters that both want the best for there nephew after loosing both his parents. The enigmatic pull between them is immediate and the passion is explosive. Great secondary characters really enhance the story as well! Looking forward to Reed and Skye's story, I know they are going to sizzle in sure SK fashion. This story has it all romance, drama, scorching sex and suspense, all the elements that make a book a 5 star read in my eyes. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Loved it!! Lane and Randi were combustible!! Two strong, independent, take charge people are bound to bump heads. They did, however their chemistry was so hot, I almost dropped my Kindle. Almost!! Robbie and Skye were great friend, however Robbie was hilarious. He reminded of a few of my friends. I thought I was gonna have to look for that stick up Adelle's behind, at first. She was so stiff prim and proper, however it was nice to know she was really a caring person. Taylor is a brat, however I looking forward to Max handling her. I have no doubt he will, when the time comes.
Reed Barron was ultra sexy. He was a great contrast to Lane, however he is gonna be something else, when he gets his Hands(wink,wink) on Skye.
That only leaves one character for last....Tina. This trick had me screaming at my Kindle!! Yeah I know I looked crazy to other people, but they just don't understand. The face off between she and Randi was my favorite part. I was like No, no,no!!....look out!!....Yes, yes yes!!! You have to read it to know what I mean. I can't wait for the next installment!! Come on Reed step up to the plate at swing your best shot!! A MUST READ!! I absolutely loved it, however I have come to expect nothing less from my girl Author SK! You did you thang lady...Bravo!!!

Being Barron is the first installment to S.K.'s Barron series and she did an outstanding job composing this story. All I can say is WOW. Lane Barron and Miranda Turner's relationship was a blazing inferno! This book told the trials of building a relationship with secrets, agendas and a TRUE ALPHA MALE rearing his "My Word is Bond" mentality. Lane would stop at nothing to protect his family but he met his match in Miranda. Two stubborn and strong willed people must find a way to build and maintain a relationship. Can these two find a common ground and let love lead the way. Find out by reading Being Barron.

Readers do not sleep on SK. She can create the most Drama filled, plot twists weaving, blazing hot love scenes hell of a story. I did not want this book to end. I cannot wait for Reed and Skye's story.

I consider a book absolutely fantastic when I can visualize the scenery, connect with each character, and feel every emotion that the characters feel and the storyline is believable. Being Barron did that for me. It was such a page-turner; I just could not put it down. I loved Randi and Lane. With Lane being a super alpha male, Randi and Lane had many trials and tests on their relationship, and don't forget the other scrutinizing Barron family members. There were a couple of unexpected twists that made my jaws dropped, especially one of the love scenes, but the author weaved them into the story seamlessly. I have read several of your novels, and throughly enjoy your books and writing style. You have a fan for life! Keep up the good work and I can't waiting for the next installments of the Barron Series and Sin City Heat!

Loved it! My first SK novel and although I've noticed that her books routinely get 4 and 5 star reviews, I didn't know what to expect. This book was soooo good! Once I started reading, it was hard for me to stop. Great storyline, interesting characters, and hot sex scenes - all the making of a good book, IMO.

Lane Barron was definitely an alpha male (and too fine), but Randi was time enough for him. Little CJ was so adorable, and although I didn't like the Barron family initially, I ended up liking them all - except Tina with her crazy self. That whole turn of events with Tina was crazy and definitely caught me by surprise.

Great job, SK! You definitely have a new fan. I've already bought two of your other books and can't wait to read them.

Ohhhh, I enjoyed this read; in a time when street lit is so prominent, it was refreshing to read of positive Black people doing something with their lives besides thugging. The plot was well written and had SK's usual flair of well developed characters and accurate time line detail (which I enjoy from this author). The sex scenes were a yummy addition and vividly written. On to book two.....

I don't know why I am surprised by this authors talent. She has a wonderful gift of putting words to paper. This book is an excellent read. This story started off about the untimely death of two people Clinton Barron and Sandra Turner. Sandra's sister Randi is trying to keep it together for the sake of her nephew C.J. and deal with Lane Barron the brother of Clinton. The fight begins with the Barron family wanting custody of C.J. As time went on instead of fighting, something sparked between Randi and Lane that left them both wondering is their feelings real or was it just lust. To find out the answer I suggest you read the book for yourself. WTG SK!!!!!
