Chise's somewhat slow life continues, this time she finally gets to go on a big journey again. Besides simply exploring the world the aim is also to fit the elven forest out of curiosity and potential exchange in information in regards to magic and magical beasts.
Much like previous volumes, the book is a slow-paced wholesome slice-of-life story with entertaining characters. Nothing outstanding, neither in regards to world building, characters or plot, but if that is what you are looking for I wonder how you got to volume 8 in this series. All in all, an enjoyable read that was as I expected it to be.

Speak “friend” and enter, for those of you unfamiliar with Lord of the Rings. Chise makes a friend out of Elnea, the Elven Queen. As a fellow immortal being, she offers a great deal of knowledge and experience in practically everything.
Chise and Teto went undercover for a while, hiding their S-rank adventurer status. They coincidentally find a powerful fire spirit named Fauzard. This leads them to the Elf Queen’s attention.
Along the way, Chise must deal with teenagers who want to leave the forest. Altogether, the story remains interesting. I enjoyed the book. Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.
