Please don't buy this book if you have already downloaded 'Haunting Grace', 'Changing Grace' and 'Saving Grace'. This book is a consolidation of these three titles.
Having endured years of an abusive marriage, Grace Evans finally walks out on her loveless marriage and boards a train for York. Within hours of arriving in the ancient city, her destiny is changed forever by a portrait in her hotel room. Haunted by the ghost of Robert Hamilton and confronted with a portrait of herself painted four hundred years ago, Grace has every reason to doubt her sanity. Then Grace finds herself four hundred years in the past, in the bed of the man who has haunted her. A man she barely knows but who, with just one kiss, filled the empty space that had been her shattered heart.
How are Grace and Robert connected to Simon and Corran of ‘When Fate Dictates’? I’d love to tell you, but that would ruin the surprise, so I’m sorry folks, you are just going to have to wait for ‘Entwined’, book three of the 'Highland Secret Series'.
Elizabeth Marshall is the pen name of the author of the ‘Highland Secret Series’. She was born on Christmas Eve at St Mary’s Hospital, at the Marianhill Monastery, in the province of Natal, South Africa.
Elizabeth grew up in a small village called Hillcrest surrounded by a large Scottish farming family.
Her primary education was delivered by Nuns from the Monastery in which she was born. The teaching that Elizabeth received during her primary school days provided an invaluable foundation and grounding.
Smiling, Elizabeth recalls a gift, presented to her by Sister Domianis at the end of a school year. It was a prayer card and on it was simply written the word – Patience.
Through secondary school and into adult-hood, Elizabeth’s life centred on a love of reading, music, writing and history. A hopeless romantic and dreamer with a head full of stories, Elizabeth wanted desperately to write.
Many real adventures later and Elizabeth is now living in the land of her ancestors and telling the stories she was born to tell.
I originally read this book as part of the 3 part series of "Grace" and fell in love with it. The story of Grace and Robert and how they find their way to each other is incredible. I definitely recommend this series, I know you will love it.
This was an interesting, attention grabbing, Time Traveling Book. The Characters are very realistic and they have just enough problems to keep you entertained.
I enjoy time-travel books, so I downloaded this for free from Amazon for my Kindle. It is an okay book. Many details about this story bothered me. Thankfully, this was a short story but definitely not a keeper.
The reason this book was because I like time traveling adventures and I like Scotland it's a good book and I love it I ready for that I could never really understand it until I got my candle and I read Diana Downton's first books I love this genre it is very good the reason I chose it is the best I've ever read
Havever had a dream where you were swept v through time. As dreams go, this fantasy is harmless but one of my favorites. I believe we all day dream, putting yourself in the staring role. When I find a story I like I'm inserted. And I of course add and remove, because I am so much more talented than a published author. lol
I had received this from the author a long time ago and finally decided to read it. I just did not love it. Grace walked out of a marriage and now she is going crazy seeing ghosts and other things. This just did not flow well. It felt kind of like what Grace was going through crazy things. It was all over the place. I feel bad but I did not love it.
This book was very interesting to read. Time Travel books are fun to read, because the transport you to a different time. This had an added kick to it, she could actually leave messages to herself and others.
Time travel romance different from the first book in the series. I liked it but it was too short and left too many questions with the abrupt ending. Onto the next in this series...
Pretty good time travel romance. While not exactly a cliffhanger, the story did end abruptly, as is another story could follow and picked up where this one left off.
It was a good read, a little slow for me, some of the details left me questioning. I did enjoy it. I would not call it a favorite, but good none the less.
