Alexis settles into life as Brad's "contract wife", but money and glamour aren't enough for her: she finally decides to accept her feelings and try to win Brad over. But how?
Alexis can't figure it out, and before she knows it, Naomi moves into Brad's townhouse as his "night manager", making things even more difficult for her.
Alicia Roberts has always enjoyed writing. She believes in "happily ever after", true love triumphing, and everyone getting what they deserve - and she tries to make sure it happens, at least in her fiction.
Alicia loves animals, coffee, cake and laughter. She is happily married and enjoys spending time with her husband. She loves traveling and currently lives in Melbourne, Australia. You can find her on Twitter at https://twitter.com/AliciaRRoberts, where she enjoys chatting with her readers.
Again, this didn't need to be 3 books. Really annoying! Also I can't believe I spent $2.99 on a book that was probably 50 pages. What was I thinking?!
I just don't believe it took a whole freakin' year for the two of them to finally admit their feelings for each other. A YEAR of being in the same house, the same bed as husband and wife and they never had a meaningful conversation or said something heartfelt that would give the other person some sort of indication that they had feelings for them? GGRRRRR Annoying. I don't believe it.
I also don't believe the whole poem scene. If she had feelings for Brad she wouldn't have been writing poetry about having an affair on her husband. Poetry is usually reflective of your feelings. Her poetry would have been about loving her husband and him not knowing it. Keeping her feelings hidden from him for a year. She had more than enough emotional turmoil to pump out some poems without making drama up. I just don't believe that she would write a fake story when she had so much emotional stuff all bottled up already.
Alexis feelings for Brad had intensified after getting married and she is trying to make him see they can stay permanent married but he doesn´t give any hint that he has feelings for her.
Naomi arrives to their home as a "night manager" and Alexis suspects she is Brad´s new conquest. One morning she wakes up finding herself alone and Brad nowhere to be seen and as she wanders through the house she hears Brad´s laughter coming from Naomi´s room. She feels jealous for reminds herself that the marriage is fake.
They both go to Paris but she doesn´t feel the same spark as before because she has the idea Brad is sleeping with Naomi already and that he wants to move on as soon as possible when their contract ends and they get divorced.
As I said before there was NO CONVERSTION between the two.. I really didn't want to read a summary of the supposed book!! Would have made a nice story if properly penned!!!
A different kind of ending, it's not what you'd expect. Most romances have a HEA and declaration but this one was tentative. The two leads were wary of each others' and their own feelings. I can believe this from someone as cynical as the heroine. The book ended with an implied HEA and I'm glad they're happy together, but I wanted to read more about them. Still, I guess that's a testament to how much I liked the two characters :)
Book 3. Alexis settles into life as Brad's "contract wife", but money and glamour aren't enough for her: she finally decides to accept her feelings and try to win Brad over. But how? Will she finally get him to love her? Or will everything fall apart when Naomi moves into Brad's townhouse as his "night manager"?
This book was Same as the first two. Interesting story line but had no real details. I really hated that it was broken up into 3 very short stories. If I'd have know that in the beginning I probably wouldn't have started it. The ending was rushed and quick
This trilogy could have been really good as the idea of the story was interesting. However the three books were much too short to explore anything deeper. It was a nice little story, nothing too involved or complicated.
