Read this book for my thesis film. Very insightful and I learned a lot about new techniques, storytelling, and what an actual good storyboard should have. If you need a 101 on storyboarding for film- this is the book for you!

I was curious to some extent, how stories, are visually constructed for film. I had a quick skim over this but I will review it later. I probably should pick up some professional storyboard volumes, on old, and recent film; I remember having a Hitchcock volume while in Boston...

Week 1: Choosing a book

I started reading this because I saw someone recommend this book on instagram to people who wanted to work in film and/or animation, and it really interested me.

I think the book is very educational, and it's easy to understand and digest for people that might not have had an introduction to what storyboarding is before for multiple reasons. The authors explain terminology used at the beginning of the book, and they constantly give visual examples of what they’re talking about. I’m definitely going to keep reading the book, considering that it’s related to skills I would like to develop. It is an informational book, but there is still a good balance of things I do or don’t understand. It will definitely encourage me to read more, because I do enjoy books that are art related.
