Its been a while for the book, but still might be relevant for the people who wants to dive deep in the topic of rigging.
This got me into rigging, and rigging correctly.

He has provided in depth info on rigging and 3ds max software

and plus the character is a gaming character, superb quality.

This book starts with how and brain functions, character characteristics, rig acc. to requirement of traits and ends on a note, by giving clue to readers how to even start modeling, this is just the bare surface, just read it for.
this book is ultimate in terms defining how you should present your work and not just complete it.

The quality of the book is also really cheap, not extremely paperback, good thick quality pages.

My suggestion not at all a waste of time.

good luck guys.
