‘TAKHT’ by Dhruv Seth is a beguiling spy-thriller novel written in Hindi that sheds light on not only the ancient Indian history and sculptures but also the social, economical and political sides. In this novel, you will find how the author through his writing, speaks about the role of the various powers in shaping the various courses of our civilisation; from the Triassic to the modern age.
The book is filled with amazing twists and surprising adventures that will keep you hooked the entire time. The writing style is engaging and has done an amazing job in crafting the elements of history, technology, human spirit into the story which adds a different taste to it.
To me, it felt a bit slow paced and portions at odds with the plot as in where the SI Abhay enters the college without any former information or authorization which causes the tragic death of six policemen and thus raises questions in the reader’s mind on the higher authorities.
Apart from the minute potholes, the story was refreshing of its own kind and has managed to make sure it leaves some spot in the readers.
It was a beautiful read and if you’re willing to pick something for a change of taste that would keep your time filled with adventure, thrill and keep you dipped in suspense and amazement with jaw dropping twists, this is the book for you.
I would recommend you to give it a shot for atleast once and guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.

From the beginning of the first page, I was entangled with the question of what is the story and plot of this book, and it happens because of the unique writing style of the author.
I was hooked as I was unable to guess the upcoming situation and plot that we usually can, with most of the books. Every chapter ends with numerous questions about the lives of different characters and their role.
This spy thriller will engage you till the end of the book without getting you bored. The description of national security, different bodies of government and countries, will make you wonder more about the happening. The author brilliantly pictures the misuse of political and economic power in society.
If you are someone like me who loves to read about patriotism and the heroic tales of spies from organisations such as RAW, it is a perfect read. The mission and the visual imagery used in the action scene will make you fall in love with the book. The writing style is simple yet captivating.
The unfulfilled love story of Kavita and Abhay, and Aman and Meera that ends with a cliffhanger and with so many questions will pain your heart.
For me, I enjoyed the part most after Aman takes charge of the whole situation and intelligently destroyed the plan of Masood and his group.

A college in Shimla is suddenly under hostage situation by a dangerous terrorist. Everyone is very disturbed and don't know their real reason to attack that college. Will he succeed in his mission?
For a reader like me, who loves reading thrillers and adventurous books, this was a bliss! I enjoyed reading from the first page till the last. The story is well written and so captivating that I read it within two days!
The author has written in a very compelling manner. I was actually able to imagine all the scenes in my head. With no unnecessary and no redundant scenes, this book can easily become favourite of every thriller book lovers.
The language is excellent and easy to read. The ending is good and thus this story has all potential of good movie adaptation on screen! With such a gripping narrative and enthralling story this book is already my favourite and I can't wait to read more from this author!

Takht is a very nice novel written by Dhruv Seth. This book has a very attractive picture, on the cover as well as a powerful name "Takht" which means the throne attracts the readers towards it.This book strengthens the story by focusing on politics and economic issues.This story begins with the story of the students of St. Xavier's College, a very famous college in Shimla, where the story of new characters is included.On the other hand, the atmosphere in Delhi is tense when some terrorist activities are known.And then suddenly St. Xavier's is attacked by some terrorists.Will all the students trapped in the college be saved? After all, for what purpose have the terrorists attacked?
The author has shown the economic conditions very simply in the book.
At times it also feels that the interest in the story has been lost, at some places the story seems too dry.But the writer's hold on the story is commendable and also worth understanding.Along with this the aspect of terrorist also creates a different mystery.A different exciting journey

Reading this book was a nice break from everyday life. The author creates a world full of secrets and danger, and you'll want to follow SI Abhay as he tries to uncover them.
There were some things in the story that didn't quite make sense, like SI Abhay doing things without permission that led to bad results. But these small issues didn't ruin the overall enjoyment.

जैसा कि ध्रुव जी ने किताब की शुरू में ही लिखा है …”informations is the new oil “ यानी किसी भी देश का important डेटा और कॉन्फिडेंशियल इंफ़ॉरमेशंस ही उसका weapon होता है और ताक़त भी ।
रोमांच से भरी सस्पेंसफुल कई सारी अलग अलग घटनाओं का क्रमवार चलना और क्रिमिनल मसूद और भारत के जाने माने IB के चीफ ,रॉ के एजेंट्स ,स्पेशल पुलिस फ़ोर्स,और स्नाईपर्स,क़्द्दावर नेता,कॉलेज के बच्चे ,अमन आदि सब एक जगह शामिल होकर हिंदुस्तान को बचाने में लगे है।
कहानी यहीं पूरी नहीं होती क्योंकि इतने पर तो यह आम कहानी की तरह हो जाएगी इसलिए मेरे ख़्याल से इसके बारें में आगे जानने की ज़रूरत हैं …..
कहानी में chapter 16 के बाद twist आता है और कई सारे suspens का खुलासा होता है। दुनिया भर के क्रिमिनल्स और जानेमाने लोग अपने अस्तित्व और “तख़्त” को लेकर लड़ाई लड़ते हैं।
दुनियाभर की नयी तकनीकों और डेटा के बल से एक दूसरे से को तबाह करने में लगे हुए है ।
काफ़ी अच्छे सस्पेंस के साथ किताब को दूसरे पार्ट के इंतज़ार के लिए संजो दिया है !

कहानी का कथानक रोमांचक है और लगातार करवटें बदलता रहता। अंग्रेज़ी में कहें तो 'पेजटर्नर'।
भारतीय इंटेलिजेंस एजेंसी और अंतरराष्ट्रीय आतंकवाद की भिडंत की कहानी है तख़्त। पढ़ते हुए लगता है मानो कोई शतरंज की बाज़ी चल रही है। किसी भी पक्ष की छोटी सी गलती और मात पक्की! और मात कोई मामूली हार नहीं। यहाँ दाँव पर लगी है, सैकड़ों की जानें या इससे भी कुछ और बहुत बड़ा? जानने के लिये तो पढ़ना ही होगा।
कहीं-कहीं कहानी से मन उचटता नज़र आता है। किरदार बहुतेरे हैं। पर किसी भी किरदार से, एक पाठक के तौर पर, रिश्ता बनता समझ नहीं ���ता। सारे चरित्रों की सतहों का स्पर्श तो होता है किंतु गहराई में नहीं उतरने का मौका नहीं मिलता।
कथानक एक घटना से दूसरी पर इतनी हड़बड़ाहट में कूदता है कि कहानी के बड़े बड़े और रोमांचकारी क्षण भी प्रभावहीन हो जाते हैं।
२१२ पन्नों में कहानी को सहेज पाना शायद मुमकिन नहीं। अगर यह कहानी ४००-५०० पन्नों में कही गयी तो बात ही कुछ और होती।

काफी दिनों बाद हिन्दी की पुस्तक पढ़ी।
तख़्त ऐसे किताब है तो धरोहर, राजनीति, और आतंकवादको एक साथ लेकर आती है।
लेखक ने किताब ख़ास तरीक़े से सजाया है कि जहां आतंकवादियों की चल से जुड़ी रहस्य और भारतीय राजनीती के कोने-कोने को चॉप गया है|
किताब काफ़ी गहराइयों में जाकर यह दिखाता है कैसे देश की सुरंक्षा में शामिल सभी लोग है और उनका योगदान कितना महत्वपूर्ण है।
I think I should read Hindi more often to express myself more in Hindi. It is tough to write I must say.
The characters are nicely evolved & was really surprised with all the twists, turns and surprises along the entire book.
I found a Sharma & Khan bit stretched initially but were justified later in the story.
Kavita & Abhay actions found irrational in the initial chapters. Both took abrupt decisions which lead to a bit dramatic results.
Overall the book is extremely gripping and I think you will enjoy reading it.

This book language is simple although reading this book need full concentration on book because if you miss any points then you have to difficulty to know what going on story. I enjoyed this book ❤️.

तख्त ध्रुव सेठ द्वारा लिखी गई एक ऐसी किताब है जो हिंदुस्तान के विभिन्न हालातो को दर्शाती है। लेखक ने इस किताब में हिंदुस्तान में आए संकट वा हिंदुस्तान में आने वाले संकटों को गहराई से रचाया है। इस किताब की शुरुआत अफगानिस्तान के बदलते माहौल के साथ हुई।

धरती, इस धरती पर कई लोगों का शासन रहा है। कई साल पहले इस पर डायनासोर रहते थे। फिर उनका अंत हो गया। उसके बाद इस धरती पर बारी आई इंसानों की, ये कहा जाता है कि 21वीं सदी में वो ही राज़ करेगा जो टेक्नोलॉजी के ऊपर नियंत्रण कर पाएगा। आज के समय में टेक्नोलॉजी ही राजा है। जिसके पास ये हथियार है वहीं शासक है, वही बता सकता है कि आगे क्या होगा। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि इंफॉर्मेशन इस द न्यू ओयल। इंफॉर्मेशन को बचाए रखना। जिसके पास जितनी ज्यादा इंफॉर्मेशन होगी, सही में वही उतना ताकतवर होगा। ऐसा माना जाता है कि डाटा को संभालकर रखना बड़ा ही कठिन कार्य है, मगर क्या सच में किसी भी डाटा को बचाए रखना इतना कठिन है? ये कहानी भी एक ऐसी ही घटना पर आधारित है, जिसने लोगों को हिला कर रख दिया था। हिंदुस्तान एक ऐसा मुल्क है जिसकी संस्कृति और सभ्यता हज़ारों साल पुरानी है, इसके ऊपर कई राजाओं और महाराजाओं ने राज किया, फिर उसके बाद कई विदेशी ताकतों ने और आखिर में हिंदुस्तान को आज़ादी मिली, उसके बाद यहाँ की जनता ने अपनी चुनी हुई सरकार बनाई। इस देश ने कई घातक हमले झेले, चाहे वो युद्ध हो या कोई आतंकवादी हमला, इसके बावजूद इस देश ने कभी सर नहीं झुकाया। पर अब ऐसा कुछ होने वाला था, जिसको सुनकर कई लोगों के दिल दहल जाएंगे। देश एक आर्थिक परेशानी से बस उभरा ही था कि कोविड-19 जी हाँ, जिसने पूरी दुनिया में भयानक नुकसान पहुँचाया और सबसे ज्यादा नुकसान भारत को झेलना पड़ा।

Right from the 1st chapter, there is suspense. Each chapter ends in a question wherein the reader is forced to read the next chapter and so on. The book although lengthy but due to it being a page turner, can at max be finished in two sittings. I read hindi literature, off and on and this was a pretty easy read with simple vocabulary, easy on the eye font and smooth, feel good paper quality. The language is very descriptive which aids in creative visualization of the high energy, scenes be it conversations amongst the terrorists or the officers.
The ending is a cliffhanger and I believe it suggests another book in the making. I totally recommend this book for thrillers readers in hindi format.

I really loved the concept of the book. It's a spy-thriller blended with history.
The book is about how the ancient history, civilization and politics shaped our future.
The efforts, conspiracy, fights, everything has been mentioned in a descriptive manner to make the reader understand what it took for a leader to capture that place.
The book is written in a dramatic manner which makes it an interesting read and the langauge is simple. The way characters progressed with every passing chapter was very impressive.
I feel this book is a package loaded with suspense, history, entertainment.
