An insightful book from an experienced practitioner. The chapters are structured in a clear and no-nonsense manner—from teaching, learning, planning, behaviour management, through to getting your first position and flourishing in the role. You are challenged to consider your motivations for teaching, your character, and how you will deal with situations outside of your comfort zone. To take responsibility for your development and not to hide weakness that will be exposed later in your career. The importance of building positive relationships with all members of the school community are explored.
