This book is so powerful and moving. What Cornelia and her family went through… what they did to help so many.. wow an unbelievable story of true heroism!
There were parts that were hard to read towards the end. About all they endured and all the suffering within the camps.. the sickness and abuse.. the starvation and murder… families torn apart…
She really painted a picture of how life was there for many. Even after she was mistakenly released (by the grace of god). She traveled the world to tell her message about gods love and forgiveness lives through us. It moved me to tears. She set up a recovery hospital that was open to anyone affected by the war. She continued to help so many.
I’ll never get over how sweet Betsie never lost her faith even in the darkest moments…

This is the second or third time I've read this, but it struck me anew. Some people live incredibly difficult lives, and yet they are incredible blessings to others.
Corrie was such a woman. What a story. It certainly puts my own life into perspective.
This book was amazing, everyone should read this. The godly testimonies of the ten boom family are so rich and convicting, and Corrie's perspective is very human and relatable as well. such a great window into the horrors of WWII and yet also the light of the gospel within it.
Corrie was an amazing disciple! Through all the horrors she witnessed and experienced, she remained faithful and was able to forgive all who had a hand in the pain, betrayal and evil during that dark period. She showed how her pain, anger, dark thoughts and selfishness were turned to praise, trust and joy through the word of God! How inspirational, humbling and awesome her journey was both during and after!
This is an amazing and gut wrenching book about Gods live and the miracles that Christ can bless our lives with even in the most horrific circumstances. From the resistance and hiding Jews in their Dutch home, to prison and then a German concentration camp during the holocaust, we follow Corrie and her sister to those dark places no one should
Incredible true story of Corrie Ten Boom who lived thru WW2 and helped to lead the resistance by sheltering Jews in her home in Holland. Eventually caught and taken to a concentration camp where she suffered greatly but her strong faith helped her survive. Later she traveled the world to tell her story. Very interesting read.
