Very simple simple sentences, with one sentence per page, depict opposites featuring characters from Disney's Brave. Suitable for children learning to read.

The pictures in this book are pretty good but other than that I didn’t really enjoy this book. It was pretty much a book about opposites with pictures from the movie throughout the book. It wasn’t a story at all but it would be good if you’re trying to teach a child about opposites. Overall I just wasn’t impressed with this book.

My Review: This is probably one of the best level one books I have come across so far. It has simple sentences that include actions, sizes and sight words for those beginning readers. The use of favorite characters from the movie Brave will also motivated young readers. There isn't so much of a storyline as just simple lines to read and familiarize new readers.

Brave was the first movie we took both our older children to go see. It was a big hit and they cannot wait for it to come out to watch at home. We picked up a few of the Brave books to read. Right now they are incredibly popular in our house. What is great about this one is that being a 1st Step reader, my daughter, who is between Kindergarten and grade 1, can read most of the book herself. And being able to read a book for the film she just saw, she thinks is the best thing. This book works on word recognition and comparison.

-and many more. Some of the illustrations look like they are right from the movie, others are different events with the same characters. This book is well loved and much appreciated in the house and will be read many times over.

As other books, the illustrations in this book are wonderful like a movie with 3D animation. The subtitle of this story is "Big Bear, Little Bear" and the book is composed of opposite words such as "slowly" and "fast". Beginning readers can learn various vocabulary with picture clues. It is amazing to make the book with such short sentences and the story is interesting with simple sentences as well.

I enjoyed this book. I thought it was really neat how they introduced opposites to young readers, with strong text-picture support. For example, The bear is behind, the bear is in front. I would reccommend this book to pre-kindergarteners and kindergarteners. The reason because of this is because there are not many words on each page, and the words are pretty simple. Overall, I liked this book.

Disney & PIXAR share a book on opposites. Brave comes to readers as opposites. Excellent slim read for beginning readers. Also, a quick read for young listeners who are interested in Brave, but cannot read (or sit) for the entire story.
