Didn't really learn anything new. If you follow the food space, you know all of this. But it's a good summary for someone who hasn't been paying attention.

Offers great insights into customer-centric strategies, emphasizing the importance of aligning business practices with evolving consumer preferences. The author's predictions regarding the shifting landscape are indeed accurate, reflecting a keen understanding of market dynamics. However, the book falls short in keeping up with current trends, rendering some of its content outdated. While it provides a solid foundation for understanding customer behavior, readers may find themselves seeking more up-to-date analysis to complement the book's valuable insights.

An interesting and insightful book on what it takes for a business and brand to thrive in today’s competitive environment.
Paul Barron dives deep into the many nuances and details that goes into the Fast Casual restaurant brands.
I would recommend this book to anybody that wants to learn about the food space.
Although this book was written in 2012, a lot of the principles discussed still apply in today’s world of 2021.

You might think that this book is about how Chipotle became a successful restaurant chain, but it is not even close to it. It is written in early 2010s and has little to no relevance in 2025 (when I read it).

If you’re looking for insights into the restaurant world and business, you’ll find very little of it.

This book could’ve easily been a 1000-word blog. It’s been written to acquire users for a certain website that is being promoted throughout the book.

A great book to make one think about the changing times in America.... Certainly changing my way of looking at a restaurant concept I am developing now.
