One of those priceless hidden gems of world literature. Really enjoyed reading Wild White Boy. This is a very realistic wild adventure novel. And it's filled with information about ancient Sri Lanka and its wild life. Specially about Sri Lankan Vaddas. There are not many novels written about these ancient people and their lifestyle.

I read this book as a young boy as this book was one of my father's collection. So my memory of the book is not of the story, but how it made me feel.
The book is registered as one of my favorites since that time and it is associated with another book called "Sudu Goona". Both gave me an awesome world to escape with so many pleasant memories. Even those names are nostalgic for me.
So I cannot give you a synopsis as I do not remember the story or its characters as of now. But the review is based on how it made me feel back then in a way that it stays with me even today. And that says a lot. So recommend this book to anyone who loves adventures.

Anyone remember that illustration of the boy trying to chase away a bear that's trying to attack him and what he calls the bear? :P
