A very useful and handy guide to a metaphysical life. The Author's explains a wide range of topics and practices. She also provides a recommended reading list that the reader can use to further explore topics. I really enjoyed this book on so many levels. I think it will make a handy reference tool in the future should I need to re-read certain parts. Her writing is very straight forward and point blank. I found it very easy to understand which was nice because she does cover some complex topics. Yet, she explains things in an elegant and simple way. This book would be wonderful for anyone interested in New Age Spirituality or Metaphysics or looking to expand their spiritual side in general. I really loved this book.

This was better than the last book I tried to get through on exploring your intuition (I couldn't even finish that book, and I ALWAYS finish what I start!), but I still wasn't blown away or anything. The "directions" you get for practicing and improving your skills always sound something like this: "If you want to practice seeing your past lives, start by sitting quietly and trying to see your past lives." Not very insightful.

I imagine it's quite hard to explain something so unique and special, and maybe you can't really explain it at all. It's just something you feel. There was still information in here that was new and interesting to me — like out of body experiences and astral travel. But I expected a lot more from this book. It was very dry and sometimes repetitive, and it was quite painful to get through. It took me weeks.

It was fascinating to learn about the different types of intuitive abilities, how they show up in daily life, and how to strengthen them. The book explores psychic experiences, types of readers and readings, and also offers grounding tools—like how to protect yourself when tuning in or when navigating energetically heavy spaces.

There were a few sections I personally skipped over (I was uncomfortable reading about them), but overall, this gave me exactly what I was looking for: a well-sourced, accessible guide to sharpening intuition. If you’re curious about your innate psychic gifts, this is a great place to start.

Fun fact: I got this book from a book exchange two years ago! I only got around to reading it now— perfect timing as I’m learning how to deepen my intuitive abilities.

Very helpful and comprehensive if you feel (or know) that you have intuitive abilities. Last year, a psychic gave me a reading, and she told me I had the 'gift of listening'. This book helped me gain greater insight into what she meant. The exercises are easy. Great book for those with a passing interest and others who take their talents seriously.

No structure to how everything is set up, there is a ton of incorrect and duplicate information. This book is only based on the personal bias of the author. I think there's better books out there that get to the same point.
