This is one of my favorite subjects, and having been a Christian for many years, I didn't suppose there was much I hadn't already heard about it, but it's nice to hear it again. My goodness, was I wrong! While the scriptures were familiar, I loved the wonderfully fresh perspectives on them that can only come from someone who is truly "in touch" with the Lord. We chose this mini study as a way to help newcomers get their feet wet in Bible study. There is minimal homework, and the themes are familiar. However, much to our delight, it turned out to be fantastic for the Bible study veterans in our group also! Our group usually meets for 90 minutes and we had no problem filling the entire session with group discussion. The best part is the opportunity to reference multiple translations of the verses we studied. We are all lovers of BibleGateway.com now, and this study helped our Bible study group to grow closer through the four weeks together. Experienced students were able to share verses that complemented the ones in the study, and it really fostered quality discussion. I so love the Word of God. I seek out ways to learn more and the connect with His Holy word. Faith is so important and we must trust that God has it all figured out. This gave me a clear picture of faith and how it manifests in our lives.

This was a nice easy mini-Bible study. I will probably read it again. My only issue was that after the first week study, there were no Bible verses to look up and ponder along with the study. I would have liked to see more of the Bible being directly used by the reader of the study.

Right away, Heather Bixler’s introduction in her book, Faith – Four Week Mini Bible Study, caught my attention where she writes, “The Creator of the universe cannot be held back by anyone, or anything, unless of course He chooses to do so. And if God chooses to humble Himself, then in that humility there is still a bigger plan and greater purpose than we will ever know.” At this point in my life, I needed to read this. I’m going through circumstances that appear to have no end, that leave me with no one else to lean on or trust in except God, and my faith is being tested on a daily basis.
Using familiar and favorite Bible passages, Heather shows us that when we put our faith in God, we receive His grace and favor in exchange. However, having faith doesn’t come naturally for us. That’s something we have to choose and work hard to develop in our lives. When choosing to walk by faith, we also receive abundant life and blessings as bonuses.
Another meaningful quote from this book is, “Faith in God isn’t meant to be a burden or even a struggle. Our faith in Him will release us from the burdens of the world.” That’s incredibly freeing, and a good reminder that faith means trusting our future to God and believing He knows what’s best for us.
Each section on faith also contains a few questions to get you thinking and meditating on different Scripture passages as well as encouraging readers to keep a journal.

Enjoyable
I really enjoyed this mini study. I like when things make you think and journal and you can focus on one aspect at a time. It was a great study.

SUMMARY:
In this four week mini Bible Study you will examine your faith and what it means to have faith in God.
He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20
Our faith begins with what we know and believe about God. Our faith will carry us how far we are willing to let it take us. Faith is a choice and we need to begin by choosing to believe in Jesus and His power to move mountains, heal the sick, and save us from all our sins through His sacrifice on the cross.
When we believe in God we then learn to walk in faith and trust God. But first we must believe, and it's up to us, we can either choose to believe in Him or not. But faith will mean nothing until we believe with all our heart that God is who He says He is.
REVIEW: Week one was very strong and well written. The remaining 3 weeks did not contain the depth of chapter one and felt somewhat rushed. It seemed many of the ideas were paraphrased and rewritten. The discussion questions and steps for memorization were good.
FAVORITE QUOTE: "A lot of times we don't walkin in faith with God because we don't really want to give up control of our life."

Faith
Very good Bible study although I didn't take the full 4 weeks. This would be an awesome study for a small group. Very informative and easy to understand. I must have faith to have a good relationship with God. It not something you get once and you keep it it's a daily walk but it's a choice

I liked this book over all and it spurred some good discussions in my class, but I felt like some of the chapters could have been more in depth.

quick and easy
We used this as a mini Bible study for our small group. It was good after a very in-depth study and easy to do before we met again.
