Interesting historical novel about why the Mormons were "persecuted" and driven from Missouri. This was not a one-sided war as we have all been led to believe. Makes you want to distance yourself from the "peculiar people" depicted in this book.

Great book. Learned about the Mormon religion and some local KC history.
