4.5/5 Full of information and broken up into easy chunks.
I really loved this book. Crosson breaks the book into each month and then breaks them down into stories, herbs, spells, and a to-do list for each month. A lot of the stories are personal, which I did enjoy. She also mentions deities and their stories too.
The spells incorporate the flowers/plants of the month/season but sometimes says to use a picture. It would have been nicer to see some substitutions, but I still appreciated them. The pictures and illustrations were lovely and I only wish there were more!
The appendix in the back has all the plants in alphabetical order and their correspondences. It also includes a hearty bibliography and a large index for complete ease of use and reference. It's very thought out and thorough, I love seeing these additions in books and the level of these are perfect!
Overall, this book is a must have for any green witch, anyone starting a garden, or anyone looking to add more to an existing one. I'll happily purchase this for myself as I'll get a lot out of it even if some of the things are found in other books. I think it's great for any level.
I found this at my local library and I'm so pleased to have the chance to read it before deciding to buy it. Check your local library for a copy or request that they purchase it!
