About the author

Stephen started his career as a marine biologist, subsequently spent many years managing computer support and development teams and is now a full time author, artist and publisher. He lives on the West Coast of Canada with his wife where he spends his time writing, publishing, carving soapstone sculptures and teaching.

He has more than fifteen books currently available in paperback, Kindle and Epub eBook formats, including novels, 'how-to' books on self publishing, soapstone carving and stained glass art and poetry books.

Great photos of the author’s own work accompany technical descriptions of how he carves and why. There are no specific pieces with instructions here, just techniques that the reader can put to use.
