This is a sweet and helpful devotional that was gifted to me at the start of my pregnancy. Each entry had a Bible verse, brief passage, and 2 questions for reflection or suggestions for prayer. I enjoyed using it, but as there are not 7 entries per week it was difficult to make it part of the morning routine. On days when I felt I really needed it I'd run out of entries; on other occasions I'd forget all about it because of the inconsistency. Still, I found it very helpful in calming my mind and focusing on God's plan for my child.

Where, oh where was this book when I was expecting my kiddos? This is the sweetest, neatest devotional book I've ever seen for expecting mothers! It is not just a devotional, but also a journal where you can record your thoughts and feelings about your pregnancy. For each week (starting at week 5), there are several paragraphs about what is happening developmentally with the baby and the mother's body. Then there is a list of specific areas to pray about and praise God for. Following the list is a Memory verse. There are 4-5 devotions for each week, with questions to prompt journaling.

I just think this is a beautiful book and the perfect gift for any expecting mother. I really wish I had had something like this - it would be so nice to look back on what I was thinking during those special times in my life. And what a precious gift it would be to hand the completed journal to the child when THEY were expecting their first baby - what a wonderful connection between mother and child!

This devotional is for the expecting mom. It’s a memory book to fill with your dreams and hopes for your little one. Several features like “Points of Prayer”, and “Mommy’s Memory Verse”. The book starts at week 5. There are many lists of specific things to praise and pray to God about. Each week begins with a devotional with encouragement, scripture, helpful hints, and words to dwell on. Throughout the week you have 4-5 devotions that will encourage you while you wait to meet your little one face-to-face. Each week you can write down the growth of your baby. There is ample space to share your prayers and thoughts throughout. It has helpful prompts if you are like me and draw blanks on what to write down. What a precious gift to give your son or daughter one day as they read through your words of love and faith while you carried them in your womb.

This would make a great gift for an expecting mom.

This devotional was very good but, there’s a few things I didn’t like and think could have been better.

- Each week just had 5 days which was kind of odd to me. I wish it would have had a full week.

- The devotion didn’t really focus much on how the mom was feeling through pregnancy or any place to list worries, happy moments, etc. I think a weekly check-in or even daily check-in would have helped a bunch!

- I wish I personally would have found this devotional sooner. I could have started soon, not that I would have marked it on here until we made the news public but, it would have been nice for me personally.

Overall, this devotional was nice and I enjoyed it. I think this would be a great gift for any pregnant mama or for any pregnant mama to buy for herself (which is what I did 😺)

This was sweet! I definitely filled many of the entries out after the fact though. Since there was only 4 days per week it made it harder to make it a part of an every day routine so I’d forget about it.

absolutely love going through this book, but I wish there were entries for every day of the week to help build it more into my routine.

I love to get free books to review! I love to read, and so this helps keep my costs down, plus I get some amazing books I may never have checked out!

My next favorite thing to do with these books is SHARE them! And guess what? I get to give away 2 copies of an amazing book!!

Waiting in Wonder is a devotion book for expectant moms by Catherine Claire Larson! Oh, how I wish I had this adorable book about 12 years ago! And the devotions it has within its cover are just wonderful!

There are sections for each trimester, which I like, so if you get a copy of the book already into your pregnancy, you can navigate to the trimester you are in! There is a journaling section for each devotion to inspire thoughts, and to give you a chance to write down dreams and ideas. Each devotion begins with a scripture verse and then has a short devotion that will steer your thoughts back to the Ultimate Creator as you navigate through your pregnancy.

The devotions often relate to the development phase of the baby at that time. You will be encouraged to pray for fingertip formation in the second trimester, or for the practice breaths your baby is taking. Not only do the devotions focus on your personal spiritual growth, your growth as a new (or old) mom, but also as a wife. I loved that part too! Adding a baby to a family affects everyone and changes all the relationships, being encouraged to pray about those changes is a blessing!

I really thought this book was adorable and delightful! I am so thrilled to offer two free copies to you! If you are not expecting, like me, do you know someone who is? It is such a cute book, it would make a great gift too! I cannot wait to give my copy to a friend who is expecting her first baby!!

I cannot recommend this book any more – I just loved it!! I think every expectant mom would feel blessed to have a copy to treasure!

NOTE: I received a copy from Thomas Nelson Publishers, in exchange for an honest review.

How do I describe this book other than if you are expecting and wish to share your experience with God and the child He will be gifting to you, this devotional journal will go from week one of until you hold your precious gift from God.

This journey will give you devotionals and scriptures to meditate on while also explaining the stages along with a peak into the growth of your child titled The Wonder Within. It even provides a place to write down your thoughts and interpretation of the devotional and scripture, not only to God but to your child. The verses are provided as memory verse in each devotional.

I was impressed at the way the book is set up and wish I had this book when I was expecting. I have five daughters and I am pretty sure they will not be blessing me with anymore than the already fifteen grandchildren. This year four of my granddaughters with be turning seventeen so I will definitely be recommending this book for their hope chest. I am sure they will not be needing this book for at least five or more years yet.

My favorite excerpt is page 162, Patient Partners, Patient Parents, and the verse provided:

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
1 Corinthians 13:4

This is a wonderful Keepsake, shower gift and more.

I highly recommend this book.

I rated this book a 5 out of 5.

Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book from Thomas Nelson for review. I was in no way compensated for this review. This review is my honest opinion.
