I enjoy study Bibles that help me dig deeper into the heart of God. In The Woman's Study Bible from Thomas Nelson, each book is introduced with the author, date, background, themes, and an outline.
As you read through this Bible, you will come across detailed character portraits of the women in the Bible. In the Book of Luke, you will learn more about Elizabeth, Anna the Prophetess, Joanna, Susanna the faithful servant, and more! With each turn of the page, special relevant insights for women are nestled: raising the adolescent, the homeless and their position in society, the importance of a godly education, parenting adult children - just to name a few.
Quotes from godly, Christian women are interspersed throughout. These can be both thought-provoking and/or may help you to understand a concept just a bit better.
"Ultimate hatred and ultimate love met on those two crosspieces of wood.
Suffering and love were brought into harmony."

In the front of this wonderful Bible are special pages: the Ketubab Marriage Contract - a Jewish marriage contract, family history, special family memories, and a place to list your own spiritual mothers.
With the inclusion of the concordance, index, maps and charts, this will be a well-loved book for years to come!

Are you looking for a good study Bible for yourself, a loved one, or a friend? If so, consider The Woman’s Study Bible – NIV! This beautiful, comprehensive study Bible was truly designed by women – for women. Did you know that the editorial staff for this project was comprised entirely of women? No wonder this Bible so tenderly speaks to a woman’s heart!
The first thing you’ll notice when you pick up this Bible is its beautiful design. The cover and interior are filled with soothing, soft pastels that are easy on the eye and refreshing to the soul!
The soft colors and pleasing design make it easy to focus on God’s Word. The resources are available when you need them, but during your quiet times, they won’t draw your attention away from Scripture.
You’ll find everything you would expect – and more – in this feature-laden Bible!

The only drawback I found is that this Bible is printed in tiny 8-point font. While this may not be an issue for those with great eyesight, those who have trouble reading tiny print may prefer a Bible printed in a larger font and more traditional colors.
Aside from the font size, I loved this Bible and recommend it as a resource to help you deepen your walk with God.
