"The Krakenid symbiote within contorted and pulled away from its neurological hold, causing Marquis to spasm and scream.

Ages floated by in voided agony. Marquis felt himself ebbing and fading like a separation of water and oil. Then the calm of purpose clarified his pain and pushed it back. The symbiote within him fought back. The discordant entity forced resonance through his body and the remaining spark of his host body. The two converged. Ego, symbiote, and host body, asserting a new symbiotic synergy. Like a phoenix, Marquis' form rose and Vanguard backed up a few paces. Fear laced his face with virgin intensity.

“What are you?” Vanguard's oily smile gone, his hand trembled as he maintained his grip upon the lucid blade.

Marquis responded with silence. Inside some microscopic intellect told him that the infinity chromosome had acquired an absolute state of balance.

With zombie gait, Marquis shambled forward and lunged for Vanguard, ignoring the bite from another knife wound. His hands grasped the assassin and tightened his grip as Vanguard began to struggle. A smell of burning flesh filled the night air, and Vanguard screamed."

"Infinity Children" is fast paced fun read that I had trouble putting down. Trevor pens his characters believable and realistic within this well written plot of mystery and the supernatural. Highly recommended for all supernatural, mystery fans.

I could not put this down! I loved the characters, especially Sylph. She stuck out the most like a twin of my inner self. Lol.
This was fast paced and a fun read.
