Actually, I read only the Meditations of Stoic philosopher Marcus Aurelius Antoninius. He was certainly a highly principled man and a venerated warrior and Emperor. Book One begins, "From my grandfather Verus I learned good morals and the government of my temper."

Perhaps a wide reading of his seventeen dictums for living a good and honorable life in the 6th or 7th grade would lead to a kinder, gentler society.

Nine other social philosophers are in this book, Man and Man.

This 4 book set is from my Father's modest library.
