First half of the book is an extremely short introduction to design patterns. The latter lightly touches on information architecture, modular design and web design in general (aka it's not print). It stresses the importance of designing for CMS, but doesn't offer any real advice on it. All in all, it's a great introduction to "corporate" web design for creative sort of designers who aren't developers; it delicately emphasizes the important stuff about web design, without feeling too down to earth, preachy and technical. It's not a compendium, but it's a good start. :)
Excellent inspiration source of web design examples for different kind of site types. The only downfall is this book does not offer any CSS/architectural coding hints as to how something or action can be created.
Very good inspiration, even though there's no way I can do most of this stuff. Text had some good info in it as well. Might be worth looking for the other volumes. From Beekley.
