This guy offered some interesting perspectives on masculinity in the church. I appreciated his thoughts and do think there’s a lot to chew on

A great book that many Christian boys & men, myself included, needs to read. I found it helpful in a variety of ways & plan on reading it with my 3 sons when they reach their teens.

Not the deepest author or the finest writing, but the subject and the courage of approachong it are collosal. Must be read by any chriastian man.

Good and nice are not synonyms.
A healthy account of Christian masculinity, drawing examples from the life of Jesus himself. Would recommend to my Christian brothers.

Lots of food for thought, addressing an important topic.
On the quality of argument, I would have given three stars, but because it is timely and important I bumped it to four.
The best thing about it was the fresh way it invited you to think about what kind of man Jesus was.
The obvious weakness of the book is that the argumentation is not tightly biblical. It could have been a five star book if it was - assuming the arguments stood the test of rigorous exegesis.
Still, wildly refreshing and thought-provoking. At the very least, it raises crucial questions demanding answers - and I think it does more than the least.
