No one knows the real reason heiress Jane Bennett has come to the Caribbean Island of Paradise. She is seeking answers to questions that have haunted her for nearly 20 years. Now Jane must join forces with the one man who both thrills and frightens her.
I had never heard of this author before seeing the book recommended on an Amazon list. I'm glad I read it; a beautiful relationship developed between the H/H and I enjoyed how the author got in their heads a bit and let me know what they were thinking and feeling. There was never any animosity between the two; none of the "I hate you" "I love you" stuff that becomes so tiring in some stories. The secondary characters were not outstanding, though a couple of them contributed to the development of the leads (is that confusing enough?). The "treasure hunt" story was a bit weak, I thought, and based on that alone, I probably wouldn't have given more than 3 stars. The admiration, respect and true liking between the H/H and the lack of a 'stupid misunderstanding' plot device sold me. Oh, the intimate scenes were pretty steamy, too!
The description of the book I am listing below is from the back jacket of the book. I'm adding it because I believe the one on the Goodreads page does not depict this story.
