This is the second book in the Divinity Warriors series and I really enjoy the way these books interconnect. Yes each book takes place in the same time but it's possible to read out of order without feeling lost. Whilst the first book Lilith Enraptured featured an analyst as the heroine with this book the author gives us a heroine who is a lot tougher! Jayne is a bare knuckle fighter and when the company she works for dump her on a strange planet as ( a very unwilling ) bride no way will she go down without a fight! Jayne has a plan, don't stand around and wait to see what happens next get out there and choose a guy herself and then get him to do exactly what she wants! Ronen doesn't want a bride but is shocked when Jayne chooses him! It's unprecedented for a female to be so bold but this proud Knight is not going to turn down what could be the best thing to happen to him. The sexual chemistry they share is off the charts but Jayne plans on escaping and that's a blow to his honour that Ronen will not ignore. Somehow Ronen will tame his wild bride but Jayne will battle to the end! These books are such a delight to lose yourself in. Filled with humour and always a whole lot of steam. It's impossible not to empathise with both Jayne and Ronen as they truly come from different worlds with completely different outlooks. Whilst Jayne is a hardened sort there's a vulnerability about her and as her history is revealed it all makes sense. Ronen doesn't fully understand love but he's far more ready to embrace the possibility of it and I really liked that their relationship grew as it did. Interesting side characters and the Queen totally confused me! I'd like to learn more about Divinity Corps and with that intent I need to read the next book! Sexy, easy to read and simply fun! I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review
The second book in Michelle’s Divinity Warriors series starts at the same place the first book did. Readers follow Jayne instead of Lilith from the point of waking in a prison cell. I liked how the two books ran parallel to each other following the same time line and events, but through two different relationships. This also allows for readers to pick up either of the books to begin their journey into this series.
Jayne is the type of heroine that I like to read. She is a fighter, literally. She had a rough life growing up and it lead her into a career as a boxer. She is a very successful boxer. The rough life has left her with some emotional problems though. She doesn’t let people get close to her. She has also created some impenetrable walls around her heart. Life has made her learn to keep her freedom at any costs. She has always lived by the motto to stay free or die trying.
Ronen believes that the gods have cursed him and his brother. The women that come into their lives seem to want to run from them. Ronen couldn’t believe that a female claimed him at the breeding ceremony. Males do the claiming in Staria. Ronen is a pleasant mix of dominant alpha male and gentle warrior. He does what he thinks is best to keep Jayne happy. The problem with that is his world has never had a female like Jayne. Females are supposed to be docile, gentle, soft and caring.
I absolutely love the futuristic sci fi feel of this series. Jayne comes from a very technologically advanced world. Traveling through dimensional planes has taken her to a plane that a fantasy historical like feel to it. So readers get many different sub genres in one book.
Favorite quote and it also sums up the couples courtship, Jayne to Ronen. “It is in me to run and it is in you to capture.”
I received the ebook version of Fighting Lady Jayne by Michelle M. Pillows through BookSprout and am now doing an honest review. I enjoyed reading and recommend for adults 18+. In this book Jaye Hart was a inter-dimensional boxing champion... until she loses because of a dirty fighter that knocks her unconscious. Because of her loss she is sent to a new world to become a bride... Ronen had no intention of choosing a bride but in an unprecedented move one chooses him. How can he resist? She's confident in her decision-until their wedding night when she's nowhere to be found. Ronen however is not one to shy away from a battle. He will find Jayne and will do everything possible to tame the heart of her wayward wife. This book is available on Amazon
Yish. This book was a disappointment in a few ways. Despite Michelle Pillow writing it, I wouldn't call this erotica. The sex was unimaginative & bland. (Pump-pump-pump-sigh) Yikes. I never really related to the hero as he was kind of a typical two-dimensional warrior with few emotions. Jayne could have been so fantastic as an orphan & fighter...but she was forced into girlyness early on. HEA Recommended only as filler.
I loved it! A Pro boxer, Jayne, who grew up pretty much on the streets until a manager saw her fighting, wakes up in a cell. She's in the middle of a fight, she won't take a dive on. Her wimpy opponent punches her & gets a knockout drug into a cut on her cheek. When she wakes up she's in a cell. There are about 5 more women in cells around her. Only one seems to know where she is & why. Another woman comes in & starts talking about how they should just give them whatever they want & keep them happy. 2 of the women are crying & making a lot of noise, 2 men come in & decide those 2 are unacceptable. They tell the woman they are to be given something & removed. They are led away. They all leave One of the women is trying to pick the lock on her cell with a hair pin. The one called Paige tells her if she does escape, the creatures in the hanging forest will be much worse than the warriors here. She then goes on to tell them they are expected to be the warrior's sex slaves. When they are lead up to the room so the warriors can decide if they want them Jayne looks around. The women had already tossed a few ideas around but nothing too promising had been mentioned. Jayne notices one of the men looking at her, she checks him out. He doesn't look too bad & seems like a fairly easy guy. Being a Pro boxer also makes her a show woman. She saw how his brother claimed Lilith. So she put on a show for them, she came down to Ronen, took his drink, & claimed him. She stunned him enough to manipulate him into claiming her like she wanted. When they go up to his room she gives him what he wants, then refuses to do it again. Put out he goes down to drink with his brother. She steals on of his shirts & some shoes from a laundry room, along with one of his daggers. She starts looking around the castle for Lilith. She is not afraid of death, but she does not want to make the trip to find a way home alone. Lilith, had stolen one of Soren's shirts & was looking around as well. They met up on the stairs. Jayne tells her she is heading out to try to find Karre, she knows she was taken south. She wants Lilith to join her. Lilith remembers what Paige told them about the creatures outside & tells her she thinks it is best if she stays hear trying to find out information & find a way home. They wish each other good luck, promising to send word if they find out anything of use on getting home. Jayne is well into the forest late that night before Ronen discovers she has fled. She is chased by wild boars & is finally captured by the enemy spies the warriors are always in war with. During the time that Ronan & his men have been chasing her, he has been getting thoughts from her. When they were in his room she had cut her finger & he had put her finger in his mouth. For her boxing career, she had been given nanobytes to help heal her body from injury or illness quickly. Because some of her blood got into his system, some of her nanobytes are now in his blood as well. It somehow connects them. Sometimes giving them access to each others thoughts. It has helped his find her along with some of the little clue found from the enemy spies. He takes her back to the castle. They are going to go to the King at the other castle to show him the map & other war movement evidence they had found at the enemy camp. When they get there Jayne goes to clean up while Ronen is giving his report to the king. He is getting sexy images in his head from his wife. He gets away & goes up to her. They have a fun evening & he goes to sleep in his bed. She doesn't like soft beds, she goes to sleep on the floor in front of the fireplace. The next morning he goes in to find her bed empty & unslept in. He thinks she has run off again. he gets some men to go find her. She gets up to go find something to eat. The queen corners her & wants to know what is going on. She sends some one out to get Ronen & his men. Later Jayne tries to explain to Ronan to let him know why she doesn't belong. She tells him she can't give him children, it has been medically taken care of. She also tries to tell him that it seems like everyone she cares for dies. She just is a free spirit, not a plaything. A while later she is talking to the knights about fighting. They don't really believe she could be a fighter until one of them tells her to throw a punch. She does & almost knocks him on his butt. She Lets them know she wasn't joking. Ronen is called out to the field with some of his knights, but he is unhappy that she is still thinking about going home. While he is gone she still asks about him. Jayne is watched by guards & forced to listen to the queen's lectures. While she is trying to decide what to do about staying here or going home, Ronen comes back. The queen tells her she will help her get home so she doesn't lose her mind here. Ronen is upset but will not stand in her way. Jayne is shocked he did nothing to try to get her to stay. While she is on her way back to the other castle she & the knight escorting her meet up with Ronen & his knights in the forest. She tells him she is going home to get her things & settle a score. She will be back. He goes with her to the castle, they end up with a few boy who have lost their families along the way. It's great.
This is the first book I have read in the series and I didn't even realize it was the second one, so obviously you can read them out of order. Jayne "Sweet" Hart is a fighter in the gladiator rings of various dimensions. She is undefeated - until a subpar fighter cheats and then the Divinity Corporation is quick to get rid of her. She wakes up in a cell with several other women, most have no idea how they got there. Apparently, they have been given to a archaic warring dimension to be wives to warriors for one side of the conflict. Jayne decides to take the initiative and picks out a warrior that she thinks she will be able to control with her body. Things are not going to go as she thinks.
Lord Ronen has no plans to pick out one of the women that are brought to Staria by the Divinty Corporation in exchange for their blue mineral water that stays warm without a constant heat source. When his brother chooses one of the women as his own, Ronen is shocked. When one of the women declares that he is hers, he doesn't know what to do. He accepts her offer, but he is unaware that his troubles are just beginning. Jayne has no desire to be coddled and protected by her man, she just wants to be free.
I don't want to spoil the story for you. Jayne and Ronen have a lot of work to do if they are going to make their mating work. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is another wonderful read, great characters and wonderful storyline Jayne Hart in the Inter Dimensional Boxing Champion and a title she worked hard to achieve, unfortunately when she is knocked out by a dirty fighter she is dropped by the corporation like a scalded cat. Now she is on her own and must use her talent to survive so she had inadvertently been tied into a marriage with an alpha male warrior who is determined not to take NO for an answer. Ronen of Firewall had never wanted to marry until he had been dared to lay claim to the alluring Lady Jane. Her confidence and alluring character are a draw and he cannot wait for their wedding night however when it comes around, she is nowhere to be found? However, Ronen is not one to give you, he will find his wayward bride and bring her to his knee, he will tame her but never break her indomitable warrior’s spirit. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

This is the second story in the "Divinity Warriors" series. It is a stand alone read with connected characters. The story takes place in an alternate universe that reminds me of medieval times. I listed to the audiobook of this story and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. This story is about Jayne and Ronen. From a timeline perspective this story runs parallel to the previous story. She is one of the women at the beginning locked up to be presented to the warriors. Jayne is a very independent fighter who is betrayed by another fighter. She then finds herself waking up in a strange setting. Starian women are scarce so a trade is made for women. However, the women are not there by choice. Ronen, longs for his other half, but has no use for a bride. Immediately when he sees her he knows the Gods have chosen her for him and without thought makes a comment. These two are combustible together. The dialogue and humor in this story is great! I really like the mystery, suspense, action and flames this story has. The narrator did a great job getting the emotions, chemistry and passion in the characters.
Jayne is a boxing champion, a fighter in every sense. Ending up on a barbaric world, culturally trapped in the Middle Ages, where women are to be protected is torture for her, and she will fight her way free.
Ronen wasn’t planning to leave the claiming ceremony with a wife, but sometimes life happens and all you can do is trust in the will of the Gods… and do everything you can to defeat the enemy and defend your honor.
This done in one solid stand alone book does some really nice world building. I particularly enjoyed the Queen… I’d love to read the King and Queen’s story, as these two are each, in their own right, great leaders, which shines through in how they deal with Ronen and Jayne. A story about reacting, and instinctive responses we don’t always realize we have, this is a wonderful battle which gets truly interesting when Ronen and Jayne come to understand what they are really fighting against.
I was gifted with a copy of this book and chose to share my review.
…”saying more with her fist than she could with flustered words.”
This second book in this Michelle M Pillow series is even more fun than the first one. Ms. Pillow is very good at this type of story that mashes together futuristic science fiction and barbarians with medieval societies. She has some fun tricks up her writing sleeves with this series as usual. You don’t need to have read the first book but you will get a lot more out of it. This book has Jayne actually claiming Ronen totally upending both their lives. I love how strong of a character Jayne has been written as by Ms. Pillow who is known for strong female leads. It’s like the tables are turned from the usual romance trope where it is the male lead who is strong but can’t express his feelings. The world building is good and I like the idea of how and why the women end up on this world adding to the story. Definitely above the average science fiction romance tale.

I enjoyed this book. It was a fun, interesting read. This is the first book I've read in this series, though not the first I've read by this author. Great world building. Jayne is a fighter- literally as a boxer, and figuratively. After being poisoned to lose a fight, she finds herself imprisoned and to be claimed as a bride. Before someone could pick her, she chooses the man she thinks she can most easily control and escape from. I felt bad for Ronen in that he longed for a wife and family. And while Jayne was in a situation not of her choosing or free will, I don't like manipulation. The story does have a happy ending after a good battle between their personalities and her determination to escape, but I had a like/hate relationship with Jayne. She was very headstrong and confrontational. 4 stars.
What made the experience of listening to Fighting Lady Jayne the most enjoyable?
Jayen is a strong willed independent woman who had to be that way to live in a hard hard world. The book was so much fun it great to see the writer and the reader Rebecca works so well together. Rebecca brought Jayne alive and I for one thought I could hear her funny little comments in her brain as she plan things out lol it was great.
What did you like best about this story?
Jayne getting the Knights to like her or maybe her husband taking her drunk back to the room or may the Queens lessons lol
What about Rebecca Cook’s performance did you like?
The way she was able to change her voice to fit for sooooo many people
Jayne is the top boxer for Divinity Corp. When she loses in an illegal fight they send her to the alternate universe of Staria, straight back to medieval times. She wakes up in a prison cell with other women who have no idea how they got there. When Jayne finds out she will be in the “Breeding Ceremony “ she takes matters into her own hands and picks the male she figures she can manipulate to get her home.
Ronen believes he is cursed and will never have a woman of his own. He is shocked when instead of waiting for a warrior to pick her, she picks him. He is shocked!
Follow these two lovers through their journey of discovery. Sometimes what you want may not be what you need!.

Book #2 in the Divinity Warriors series. Michelle never fails to deliver. Jayne is an inter-dimensional boxing champion and living a great life until she is defeated by a dirty fighter. Now with nothing to lose Jayne breaks with the tradition that men choose their wives from a lineup and herself chooses Ronan of Firewall as her husband. Ronan had no intention of claiming a bride but the ever confident Jayne makes him change his mind. However Jayne disappears on their wedding night and Ronan will do everything in his power to find and claim the heart of Jayne. A book brimming over with strong capable women, warrior men, adventure, wit and sensuality. Hope the next one lives up to previous two.

I loved this second book in the Divinity Warriors series. I really enjoyed this world and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I loved the interactions between Jayne and Ronen.
Jayne grew up as an orphan and has made a career of being a fighter. When she is knocked down by a dirty fighter, she wakes up in a cell. She is not going to let her new circumstance keep her down. This new world is very different. Ronen has first choice of the women to find a mate. He wasn't going to but he is drawn to Jayne. They don't start on the right foot. Jayne is going to give him the runaround. Will they be able to work through their issues to find happiness together?

Jayne (h), a boxing champion, find herself unwillingly transported by the Divinity Corporation to another dimension, Staria. She's an independent woman and having no intention of being controlled by someone else, she breaks with Starian tradition and, thinking he's controllable, chooses Ronen (H) of Firewell to be her husband. He's longed for a woman to be a part of his life and home and is surprised that Jayne chose him. There’s plenty of hot, intense passionate action between Jayne and Ronen, even as she plans her escape. Their relationship felt at odds with one another, and I didn't overly care for Jayne and her treatment of Ronen. Amazing world building as always.
I love it when an Alpha falls hard. In this case I think Jayne is the Alpha. She’s a tough, bio enhanced, professional fighter. She also has a heart of marshmallow, but she doesn’t let anyone know that. Ronan had determined not to ever have a bride, then Jayne claimed him. Their falling in love adventure will bring you to tears and make you so happy you giggle, plus some other spicy emotions. The alternate dimensional world of Staria draws you in with its monsters and the medieval seeming inhabitants making this a lovely escape of a read.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really liked this book but I just didn't love it. Even though Ronen claimed Jayne, he just didn't seem to really claim her except physically. Jayne for all her impressive fighting skills didn't really show them. But we do get to meet the King and Queen and I really liked the King (the Queen was too frou frou for me). I did love Ronen and Jayne's special communications skill and I would love to see Dersly get a second chance (anyone who could give the sage advice that he did, deserves another chance at love). Overall, it's entertaining but didn't have the struggle the first book did. Worth the time to read and I am going to continue the series (Paige sounds awesome).
Engaging story about Jayne Hart a famous boxer who gets knocks down and out wakes up in a cage room with other women. Realizing she's been dumped by the Divinity Corporation; she's told her fate is to be paired with a warrior. Jayne chooses Ronen of Firewall of Staria who already decided not to choose a woman. Jayne is the first women to choose first in the ceremony. What happens afterward is an engaging "Battle of Will" romantic, action-filled story as they navigate their relationship in this second story of this enjoyable series. I volunteer to read and review this ARC I received via Booksprout.
I really liked Lilith Enraptured, book one in this series, and was very excited for book two. It’s a good book and I loved Ronen but it’s no where near as good as book one and the reason is 100% because of Jayne. I didn’t care for her much and she annoyed me most of the book. I got seriously sick of the crappy way she kept treating poor Ronen. Also, this story lacked a real plot and action outside of the conflict between the two MC. Im off to read book three now, Keeping Paige. Hoping it will be better.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first time that I scored a star to Ms. Pillow's works.. It's 1 star because I did not like the heroine. I understand that her cockiness was a part of her being a fighter and she had this poor childhood experiences. But she was just really annoying and I pity the Hero of having her actually. I read heroines of Ms. Pillows who were similar to Jayne but not as rude, obnoxious as this character.
To tell the truth, I started "daydreaming" half of the book. Daydreaming that Ronen, the Hero, met someone else.
The Fighter and the Warrior. Jayne is a female boxer who was involuntarily sent to Battlewar Castle when she lost one fight for the Divinity Corp. She realizes her and the other females are prospective brides for the warriors so she decides to take the bull by the horns and chooses the warrior Ronen. She quickly finds out she does not control Ronen like she thought especially as she is thoroughly enjoying sex with him. She escapes but is caught by the Caniba then rescued by Ronen. Finally, in the end, she recognizes that she loves Ronen and they get their happily ever after.
This is the second book in the Divinity Warriors Series, an Alternate Reality Romance (parallel universe). Jayne and Ronen's story is fun, suspenseful, and steamy. Jayne is independent, sassy, and strong. Ronen is handsome and protective. They share a sizzling chemistry. I liked their banter. Some scenes are hilarious! The world building is complex and interesting. The supporting characters are great and intriguing. Rebecca Cook did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to Keeping Paige, the next book in the series.
This is book 2 in Pillow's Divinity Warriors series and while I haven't read / listened to book 1 I didn't feel lost or left out, this can totally be done as a stand alone. Love these strong characters and follows an interesting storyline. Sweet, steamy with a bit of humor too. Wonderful narration - I would love to go back and listen to book 1 and am looking forward to more in this series!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review. *this review is based on the audio version of this read
This series gets better and better. Jayne was a boxer for Divinity, when she loses a fight because her apponent drugged her. Divinity ship her of to be an unwilling bride. Jayne is no shrinking voilet. She is strong and stubborn. Ronen is a warrior first and foremost and can't believe is luck when Jayne chooses him. But is it good luck or bad. I love the characters in this story and the way their relationship grows. I look forward to the next book.

This is a well written book. It’s got fantastic characters and world building. There’s fighting, an unwilling bride, passion, steamy scenes and more. Jayne is a boxer for Divinity and when she loses a fight because she was drugged, she is put up as a bride. Jayne is feisty stubborn as the day she was born and strong, she has no intention of giving in, however her groom has different views. She will give in but it will be so very worth it.

Jayne Hart is a strong, independent woman who was Divinity Corporation’s boxing champion. When another fighter cheats by drugging her, she is left in an alternate reality with an abundance of alpha male warriors. In her escape plan, she meets Ronen of Firewall and chooses him as a marriage partner. That alone was shocking to him. But on their wedding night, she never showed up. Will he chase her and make her his? Or will she escape into the forest to avoid him while she figures things out. Is she aware of the dangers there?
There's plenty of hotsteamy heat , danger and drama. Being sold out to another dimension by her employers, Jayne finds herself married to a warrior who intends to keep her as his prisoner. Ronen thought the gods blessed him when Jayne chose him as her husband. All he wanted from then on was to protect her and start a family. These two continuely struggle with their attraction to each other and fighting for what they want. Jayne wants freedom, Ronen wants a wife.

Sequel to book 1. Where book 1 covers the first couple, this covers the next couple: Jayne and Lord Ronen. We learn what happens to Jayne when her and Lilith part ways at the castle. Although tough and stubborn, Jayne faces her feelings and learned to take a risk is what I like most about this story. Life is all about chances and even missed opportunities. I am glad to see how this story concluded.
Boy did they pick the wrong woman to abduct and put through the portal to these stone age warriors!! Jayne's story will entertain you thru out her story from her tragic childhood to finding her soft heart and love at the end. Very sexy scenes-beware. I love this series and have both kindle and audio versions. The narrator does a great job with all the voices. Recommended for mature readers/listeners who like a bit of raunchy other world adventure.
