Footprints of a Legend: Bitterroot Series

Rate this book
‘Footprints of a Legend’ is one of a series of three stories involving an unwilling captive who is submerged into the wild and secretive world of the legendary bigfoot. Many mysteries of their existence are revealed throughout the pages mixed with heart pounding suspense that will make even the biggest skeptic question his own doubt. This novel is filled with landmarks, facts, laughter, tears and white knuckle action that will take you deep into the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana. In my heart I believe that many mysteries of the great wilderness have only been revealed but to a select few, who share their experiences in the face of skepticism. From all that I have seen for myself; heard from others and have blind faith in; this is my story for your enjoyment. This could very well be a true story!

Definitely recommended, great read! Fascinating story.... I mean, what if right? Interesting parallels between human and bigfoot behavior. The ending really resonated with me, I wonder if I could have done the same? You might ask yourself after reading this, who is the better species? Russell does a great job with description, I felt like I was in those mountains, like I could see them through his words. Really nicely done, lots of action, emotion, and discovery. Definitely recommended, I'm onto the next story in the series! :)

I found this book by chance browsing the shops of Butte, Montana, and from the cover, just had to read it. I did not know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by a quick, fun read. It is a frankly bizarre (in a good way), thoroughly imaginative, action-packed adventure tale of a man living amongst a "tribe" of Sasquatch. It's fascinating how the author imagines the dynamics of a Sasquatch community, and he describes the rugged mountain landscape perfectly. I found it a bit gory and hard to read in places (Sasquatch versus wolf pack, intense!). And after reading it, I know I will never again look at a rock slide in the same way. The book has a surprising end, which has me looking forward to the sequel. All in all a solid debut novel. I recommend this book to anyone interested in Bigfoot and/or the outdoors, or just looking for a fast-paced, thoroughly entertaining novel.
