Dr. Preston Good had settled his life for permanent bachelorhood after his fiancee stomped on his heart five years ago. Although he still believed in love and commitment, and wanted to have a significant other in his life, Preston drew the line at marriage. It would take the Almighty God to intervene in his course. As a Christian physician specializing in infertility medicine, he was no stranger to God's miraculous power to perform the impossible. Could God, through a series of unusual occurrences, heal his wounded heart and make him a recipient of love and marriage? When bestselling author, Lola Cartwright, and her famous NFL husband turned to Dr. Preston Good for his medical expertise, they knew he was a godsend. Pick up this book or zap it onto your Kindle and settle down for a joyful read. Remove the Fig Leaves is about one thing and one thing only - The Power of Love. But as Love makes the world go round this is a non-stop life affirming read. Carla introduces her two main characters brilliantly. The sparks fly from the very first moment - passionate on both sides but at the other end of the romantic spectrum. The descriptions are so sharp and insightful that it seems as though the reader has been teleported into the book itself and are a real-time witnesses to events. I refuse to give anything away. Okay one thing then. Remove the Fig Leaves will make your heart beat faster, raise your temperature and bring a smile to your face. Is that three things?

Fate: the will or principle or determining cause by which things in general are believed to come to be as they are or events to happen as they do. Destiny: a predetermined course of events often held to be an irresistible power or agency. Two words we just throw around in everyday speaking but don't realize how much power is behind the words or even the meanings, is the meaning true or do we even want it to be true? What is our fate? Is this my destiny?

Dr. Preston Good is a infertility specialist at The Miracle Infertility Clinic and one of the top in his field. He has a thriving practice with many satisfied patients and he has his share famous clients. Dr. Good has worked hard at managing his time between his work at the clinic and volunteer time at the hospital and other clinics and his time at church so that doesn't leave much time for a social life but that is just fine with Dr. Good, or is it?

Pete and Lola Cartwright have turned to The Miracle infertility Clinic to help them become parents and are clients of Dr. Good. From the very beginning they have great working relationship, Pete is a NFL player and Dr. Good is one of his biggest fans so it is an honor for Dr. Good to help them. Pete being the God-fearing man that he is believes that they were sent to Dr. Good for what he can provide for their family, but at the time little did Pete know or understand how deep that would go.

Remove the Fig Leaves is a Christian Fiction novel that will leave you feeling good when you finish it. It has a very complete and strong storyline that gives you various range of emotions but will leave you satisfied in the end. It is a christian fiction book that is not preachy, it shows you morals and if you have them you understand this book. As long as you know how to read I would recommend this book to everyone, not genre specific ~ from young adults to grandmothers and everyone in between will enjoy this book and all book clubs. I look forward to reading more from Carla Terrell in the future.

Letting Go of the Past Is Never Easy, But Hello Future!

The Cartwrights are a happy couple wanting to conceive. They are having problems so they consult a fertility specialist, Preston Good, and there the saga begins!

In reading Carla Terrell’s "Remove the Fig Leaves," I experienced the emotions of these characters. This storyline has depth, character, and is really very engaging. I enjoyed each chapter, trying to anticipate what would happen next, holding my breath when I thought things were going to go the wrong way, and cheering when things fell into place.

Carla Terrell has done a great job weaving this story together and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire book. I think anyone who wants to read a spiritual novel on love and loss would thoroughly enjoy this novel. Keep up the great work, Carla!

Oh how I loved this book. Christian fiction romance. I will admit it was a little slow in the beginning so I put it down to finish something else, when I picked it back up I couldn't put it down. I was so anxious and excited to see where this romance would take Lola and Dr. Good. There are a few proofing and grammatical errors, but the story and plot are so good that you quickly get over that . Two people destined to be together, fatefully thrown together but yet their fears and histories stand somewhat in the way. If you're looking for a little mushy, quick, christian love story with a great ending this is it. This book leaves you feeling "Good".

Remove the Fig Leaves begins with an ethically challenged love-at-second-sight situation that builds gradually, along with plenty of self-doubt, recriminations, understanding and forgiveness. The problem is that Dr. Preston Good, infertility specialist, is in love with one of his patients, Lola Cartwright, the adoring and adored wife of NFL superstar Pete Cartwright. Sudden tragedy, though, chances everything, forcing everyone to reassess their lives, their values and their futures. The tension escalates to a crescendo of emotional twists and turns.

Dr. Preston Good is a man who helps his patients with infertility issues. Mrs. Lola Cartwright is a woman who is a patient of Dr. Good. Lola soon loses her husband, Pete Cartwright, a superstar running back, due to a sudden aneurysm. Preston continues to offer his medical services to Lola. Interesting characters, Lola and Preston. This is a story about love, pregnancy, losing a young spouse, and life as a young widow. It's about a doctor and a patient relationship.

I look forward to reading another book by Carla Terrell.

This is a sweet, sweet romance - tainted with tragedy. I really enjoyed this authors vivid descriptions, and emotional conflict.
Remove the Fig Leaves is all about people, behaviours, loss, love, human life, and belief.
I found that the characters were well rounded, and the emotional impacts with the tragedies they face throughout the book were very believable. I would definitely recommend this book to those who love a good romantic read!

Remove the Fig Leaves is a short, romantic novel with interesting situations and strong characters. I really enjoyed the twists that played out, all the way up until the very end. Lola is a sweet, fiery character and Dr. Good finds himself challenged to live up to his name when their paths first cross. An unlikely romance starts up, but not in the way I was expecting--a nice, quick read if you're in the mood for a happy ending.

GUILTY PLEASURE

Well, I've never read a Christian romance before, but I fear this genre could become my guilty pleasure! Hero Dr Preston Good is impossibly handsome and too good to be true. Helplessly in love with newly widowed Lola, he looks to both God and his friends for guidance. Lola's old flame Tate is a wholly believable spanner in the works. A sweet story, which IMHO is best enjoyed snuggled up in a comfy chair with a nice cup of tea.

The Good Doctor and Lola are very well written characters. Their emotions, thoughts, and actions are well thought out and you feel close to them immediately. The story is inspiring and beautifully written. This book sucked me in and took me on an emotional roller coaster that I never wanted to get off. Its raw and real. We all need a good doctor in our lives.

I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic and inspirational novel with its quick start, luscious details, and amazingly complex characters. The ending will be entirely satisfying and not wholly expected. It’s hard to believe this is the author’s first book.
