Not All Dragons Dance

Rate this book
Felipe Chavez struggles to make ends meet as an underemployed taxi driver on the uncompromising streets of Lima; a lonely man, he is desperate to find somebody to share his humble life with. Alejandra Sanchez, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy banking family, threw away the benefits of her privileged upbringing and private school education as her life descended into the tortured world of drugs and prostitution. Her desperation to rid herself of the torment she suffers every day finally leads her to the edge of the cliffs in the coastal resort of Miraflores. As she ponders the decision to launch herself to her death, Felipe saves her. As an unexpected relationship blossoms between these two people from opposite ends of the social hierarchy, and as Alejandra starts to live a new, clean life, away from her sordid past, their new found happiness is soon shattered. Fabrizio, a hardened, ruthless street criminal and former acquaintance of Felipe in the dangerous gangs of the port city of Callao, is released from Lurigancho prison. As Felipe is drawn once again into his forgettable, wasted past, and as Fabrizio plots a bloody revenge against the Policeman who put him in prison, the scene is set for a series of harrowing twists and turns that will deeply impact upon the lives of more than just the main protagonists.
