Brief snippets of persons historically linked to Christianity. The author identifies denominational background, personality traits and significant contributions. I can see why it would be frustrating for some readers: why these particular persons? Why these particular details? I enjoyed learning about these persons, although I might have excluded/included differently. The amount of information was sufficient to whet the appetite - the author even included several references for further study.

A good introduction to these 10 individuals but sometimes reads a bit like a bibliography of other books to read about them.
