15 books44 followersMr. Young graduated from the American University in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in International Business with a marketing concentration. He also graduated from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with the following degrees: Master of Business Administration in Finance and Investments with a human resources concentration and a Master of Science in Project Management.
Mr. Young's professional career includes approximately fifteen years with fortune 500 companies, including Bell Atlantic, MCI, Sprint Nextel, and various consulting engagements, in the areas of billing, customer service, engineering, finance, information technology, network security, operations, product development, and software quality assurance.
Mr. Young has taught a variety of college business courses --- such as Business Communication, Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Business, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Principles of Leadership --- for over eight (8) years.
In 2012, Mr. Young created a non-profit organization to provide educational services to at-risk communities. This non-profit gives him the opportunity to give back to the community after he was directed to leave high school in 10th grade, graduated in the bottom 8% of his high school class, and attended several colleges prior to actively being engaged in the educational process. These experiences drove him to create his non-profit.

I received this book in a giveaway.
When you land in a difficult situation you usually don't have the time and or the focus to read a treatise on the issue. A short quote or slogan may be of more help than a long sermon. In this small book S.L. Young compiled 96 quotes to help people take care of themselves.
A lot of the quotes are longer variations of well known slogans and cliches. For example: instead of "What other people think of you is none of your business" we read: "Self worth is not based on the ways others see me, it's based on my perception of me." None of the quotes brings home a whole new idea, but they are a different way of expressing already known wisdom that may catch your fancy more than the original saying.

Personally, this book would not be the one I reach for when I need some wise words, but it may be for other people.

It's a Crazy World...Learn From It is a real GEM! Very inspirational and fun! This is a perfect gift for all! I have to admit when it came in the mail, today, I kicked off my shoes and put my feet up. I did not put this perfect sized book down until I was finished READING! After reading It's A Crazy World Learn From It, I was ready to take on just about anything. A great book to read first thing in the morning. It will make your day! It made mine.

The "Life Quotes" in this book are great. "Life Doesn't Wait; Life will not wait for you to get ready;you're the one who needs to catch-up" is one of my favorites! I did not know what to expect when I won this book but I assumed it would be a novel I was slightly disssapointed in the fact it was not.... BUT and a big But is that I enjoyed these quotes, This book will be a nice addition to my coffee table where others will be able to enjoy it as well.

Also received this with my other giveaway. A big book of quotes from S.L. Young. I enjoyed the quotes and thought there were a lot of good ones, especially for those looking for inspiration.

This is a good book to read when you need a good life quote. It'll definitely make you think.
