Hi. My name is Jesse and I’m a compulsive writer

I can’t help it. I write prolifically. I write because I must! And luckily for you, my dear reader, the stories never stop.

What do I write?

I write fantasy because the world we live in can feel like a trap.

I write sci-fi because I like to toy with worlds, universes, and cultures. I like to play god. I write horror as a kind of decadence. I mean, who doesn’t like writing that bleeds?

Regardless of what type of speculative fiction I write, you can expect that it will be dark. Whether my inspiration comes from a shiver crawling up my spine while darting across a dark parking lot, a fascination with Gothic heroines and their delightful kidnappability, or a desire to build a world to suit a spiffy MMO character, that dark undercurrent of fear makes me feel alive.

So, if you enjoy science fiction and fantasy with an eye to horror, join my readers group.

I’d love to have you along for special sneak-peeks, cover reveals, free stories, and more! Just to show how special you are to me, I’ll start you off with an exclusive short story!

Jesse Sprague knows her world-building. She creates complex worlds in every one of her series. And the Forgotten Path of the Elors is no exception. The story follows Zizara, a sorceress from the wolf-like land of Bouraster and her exile from her lands, and Vaash, the heir of that land. I loved, loved, Rose of the Deadlands, the first book in the series. But where Saiette is naive and sweet, Ziza is fierce and daring. Where Felix is a tormented soul, Vaash is young and intrepid.
In the first book the intimacy scenes were fade to black, but following their wolf, open land culture, Ziza and Vaash are anything but timid and the sex is more present and intense (still is fade-to-black-ish)
Zizara is trying to return to her home and be accepted by the wolves once again. Vaash is the first male in a female-line of Bouraster rulers. Both are fighthing for their place. Betrayal, friendship, loyalties to be questioned, action, magic, and a strong, fierce FMC who may or may not act wrongly and screw things up. She’s not coy, let me tell you, and will snarl until her last breath. There’s growth in her and that’s what I loved the most.
Exciting adventure that plays with the tropes:

Touch her you die
She’s mine
Fight against prejudice
Belonging

Oh and did I mention dragons?

Dragons what more do i need to say. You can’t have an epic fantasy without dragons. Loyalties will be questioned in this one. We got action, adventure, magic, friendship oh did I mention dragons, some betrayal and a fight against prejudice.
