Simon Christopher Francis Furman is a British comic book writer who is best known for his work on Hasbro/Tomy's Transformers franchise, starting with writing Marvel's initial comic book to promote the toyline worldwide, as well as foundations for both Dreamwave Production's and IDW Publishing's takes on the Generation 1 minifranchise.
A brightly coloured retro treasure trove, that is chock full of comic delights. Far more than just being extensive toy adverts, these were brilliant tales of action and daring do.
This is the point for me where my interest in Transformers started to end, the focus on the next generation of bots. The original transformers are still there but get less and less air time in order to push the newer toy lines. The highlight of this collection is Deaths Head, marvels robot bounty Hunter, er freelance peacekeeping agent.
There were some excellent stories in this volume . Had a great time reading them. The new characters were fine even though nothing really compares to Optimus Prime. The writing continued to be very good even if the art was sketchy in places (pun intended!)
