This textbook was terrible. While the basics of social work were presented in the book, it was poorly structured. The author's biases on different political views was very apparent and often offensive, even to someone who shares some of the author's beliefs.
It was an easy-ish read, but it was just a bad book.
DNFed at 75%. I was reading this for my Introduction to Social Work and Family Services class and we did not have to read the whole textbook for the course. From what I read, I would probably give it 3 out of 5 stars. For a textbook, it was pretty good. It was informative and wasn't too boring.
I'm pretty sure this is the 1st text book for any course I've ever taken in my entire school life that I've completely finished. Guess when you're serious about what you are studying, you put in the full effort.
