It’s a game. A dirty, twisted, terrible game. One I want to play with every fiber of my being.
Mmmmmm now that's a novella mama likes.
PLOT:
The heroine Callie who just like us was a simpleton who was a kinky woman
She stumbled across this group of men that kind of organise a kinky play time to time which happens under consensual agreements.
The would was that the woman would be drugged, kidnapped, taken to a cabin in the woods. The cabin was built like an escape room with locked doors and clues that she'd have to solve in order to get out. Every time she escapes, they’ll hunt her down like prey. When they catch her, they’ll do what they want with me, then bring me back to try again. And if she can’t escape the cabin within the time limit? They’ll punish her.

That was actually a good plot and for a novella it hit the point.
“Remember, kitten. If you don’t obey, I’ll bend you over and take your ass.” He punctuates the threat with a smack to my bottom cheeks, which makes me jump.
Patrick looks at me pointedly. “Any words you’d like to say, little one?”
The smut was 🤌🏻🤌🏻
The one only thing I actually did not like about the novella was the way she addressed them.
She used a lot of sir. And honestly...I see how it fit the book it just didn't sound natural to me and felt like it was to show how submissive she was.

I mean let’s be honest, this was straight up p0rn 😂 just trying to hit my reading goal and this was a novella that was on my kindle unlimited list for a while so I gave it a shot.

This was pretty good for a novella. I did wish we had more steam in the spice for a primal/cnc trope. I felt it was like wham bam thank you. It's instalove/lust between the group, but I wish they showed more.
Callie is a sub, but she's also kinky trying to find her right person. She sees this thing about a hunt, and she emails them her info. It's an escape room once she eacape her hunters catch her and give her her fantasies. If she can't, she gets punished.
She talks to one and is already attracted to him by his voice they go over the rules and safe words. She does have some doubts because she thinks she's a freak. And she's kidnapped that night. And in a room, I'll be honest she was good at the escape rooms. She ran, they chased and had their way with her slowly with 2 of the guys, then the next room, and they added the 3rd.
They did push her away near the end because they grew feelings and got mad when she went to a club to find a dom. She's being whipped. That's it no sexual between her and the Dom.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, sexy times, no virgins (they tell her they did this before with others, and near the end, she tries to have a scene with someone spanking nothing sexual)

i would've liked if the heroine had spoken more often. she came across as pretty distant and withdrawn, which is why i didn't really find their relationship development realistic. i also didn't really find the sex scenes hot. cnc can be super steamy and emotional (e.g. Captivated by Tessa Bailey) but it was a bit too one-dimensional in this one.

This was the first book by Aspen that I have read and as soon as I’d finished it I immediately searched to find other books by her because I enjoyed it that much.
No Escape is Callie’s story. Callie is a young woman with a heck of a kinky side. Looking to explore all those kinks that are usually shamed such as CNC, degradation and punishment and so much more she signs up for the game.
The game consists of a secluded cabin, a group of men and Callie’s complete submission as every one of her fantasies is explored.
This book is written in the POV of Callie and the men who run ‘the game’ giving you a delicious insight into how each level of the game affects not just Callie but the men too - submission can cause some real emotions to come to light and it was good to see those explored too because even though the games played were dark the aftercare was still there too.
It’s so wonderfully dark and dirty with a really good spice level that makes you want to keep reading and I enjoyed every single minute of it and devoured the book in one sitting.

Writing review under this feels like leaving comment under porn video😭 so, let's say i was discovering new parts of myself and decided to dive into kink world by this book.
There is no plot, no character development, no emotional connection between characters. Just smut and nothing else.
I wanted to read some CNC stuff, but it didn't feel like it. She didn't put much of a fight, so i didn't get what i was intending to read about. But i really liked how author showed aftercare, consent of all the things happening in there.
I didn't like Gage at all, Derek felt like bubbly cutie uncle so at some point it started feeling gross to read spice with him. I was intrigued by Patrick, but I couldn't get enough of his character. I'm not into why choose, reversed harem thing, that's why i was looking for my favourite.
Overall, writing style is detailed enough to deliver the scenery of story, but not too slow to get bored.

This is a pure smüt romance. Overall, if you just want a good smütty why choose romance, this is a great one. I also believe that it is a safe representation of BDSM with consent, safewords and aftercare. Even though it is DARK, it didn't feel like that. They kept asking her for any "last words" before each acts, which shows that they do care about her consent even if she did agree to it before. Nothing was ambiguous either. She explicitly said that she wanted it. So the whole book didn't feel wrong.
I just wished I had to learn a bit more about the characters.

I enjoyed No Escape and the chemistry between Callie and Patrick, Derek, and Gage. That being said, I was a little disappointed in the steamy scenes. I love a good primal/CNC read, but I have really high expectations for them.
Sticking it in "at a brutal pace" was kind of eh....I wanted more. I didn't feel like the chases were very long, and it didn't seem like she engaged much in a primal/CNC way. I'd have liked to see her fight a little more and for the guys to actually chase her, maybe even let her go so she could run a bit more before they tackled her, things like that.
This was a fun read, though. It was quick and I was engaged from start to finish. I'd love to read more with these characters and then getting to know each other more outside of the scenes they did. I wish the club scene was expanded a bit more towards the end, but it is what it is.

A nice surprise!
I wasn’t really expecting much due to the dearth of well written books in this genre, but wow, I’m super grateful for the others who took the time to review! My ONLY complaint is that I wish the story was longer! Given the constraints of a novella the author did a wonderful job of character development, and the world buildout was also excellent! Enough emphasis was put on building the scenario and explaining how and why something like this could happen that I was able to sink into the story. I’d really love to see a full length novel from this author.

This novella features a woman (with BDSM experience) who signs up for a mysterious multiday dark fantasy experience. It has rape-fantasy tones, but does carefully establish first hard limits and a safe word, as well as "aftercare" after each "episode". It does have 3 men, and other BDSM themes (including terms I'm not familiar with, as not my area). It did surprisingly have a "happy ending". It seemed fairly well-written, with decent character development despite being mostly 'smut' content & length. While I personally won't be seeking out more by this author, I think this would be a good option is you are curious or know you like these themes.

Callie is looking for something different and signs up for a game at a cabin with a real-life escape room, where three guys will hunt her down. The book is very steamy and extremely short. I enjoyed it as a very quick short read. This could definitely have been a longer book with more character development, but you can easily get pulled into the heat of the story. If you're looking for an interesting plot, but mainly smut, this is a quick story.

A fabulous quick read
Ok so the content of this one won't be for everyone. But I love a good primal play, hunter/prey read.
It's a simple, straightforward story and is written well.
Though the guys are a lot, the play is consensual and I love that they check her boundaries even whilst doing dark things. And did I mention these men are hot. Like sizzling hot.

If you are in a slump, or have just finished reading a heavy book, I can assure you, this one will perk you right up. If you are into primal play, CNC, this is the book for you! This book was hot, hot, hot! I loved the whole concept of Escape room but make it so that there is no way out without getting railed! Genius. I left this book needing more, I wish it was longer than a novella because I devoured it!

Closer to 4.5 I enjoyed it! Happy ending which I appreciate and I enjoyed the plot and the spicy scenes. I liked all the characters - I would have enjoyed a little more primal or cnc but I really liked this one!

We all have different tastes. I would've preferred a few more twists. I thought it was too draggy for me. Also, I'm not into toys. I would've liked even more nasty banter. Maybe have her best friends man pop in and do her at the end.
