Fate Trace #2

Sinners Keepers

Rate this book
They showed up when I had no one else, their motives totally obscure. Driven by my need for closure, I find myself inexplicably drawn to them.

At the lowest point in my life, they offered me a twisted redemption: revenge.

Having them around ignites conflicting emotions within me—familiarity intertwined with so much doubt—𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘮𝘦.

They have the means to my end. But can I trust them? And can I allow myself to stay when their sins remain unspoken, threatening to tear everything apart again?

“Were the four of us all absolutely nuts? Most definitely. But if being insane meant I got to have this with them, fucking certify me.”

What a rollercoaster ride! Genna throw us for a few loops once again. There was never a dull moment. This story started ted right off with action and intrigue. When you think you know the direction the story is going Genna diverts it in the opposite direction. She kept me on my toes. You will be absorbed by chapter two.

This story picks up right where No Small Sin left off, but it centers around Hunt and her three suitors Ijah, Alec, and Law. Hunt is trying to find her independence after being free from the arranged marriage she was in. She ends up suffering a head injury and is trying to move on. Hunt wants to end the threat on her life, but ends up finding more love than she ever thought was possible. She learns quickly that she doesn’t have to do it alone.

I love Ijah, Alec and Law. These three men love her so fiercely. Talk about touch her and die vibes times three. The way they take care of her in every way possible is so hot. These rough and tough men will kill you but yet turn around and do sweetest gestures for Hunt. Genna Black is a hidden gem. I highly recommend you give her a read.

Tropes: why choose, dark romcom, revenge plot, lovers to enemies to lovers.

Thank so much Genna for the ARC! 🤌🏼

I fell in love with Hun in No Small Sin and was so happy to get a book for her story and her amazing guys. The twist throughout the story had me hooked and screaming for more. The Christmas present Hunt receives...perfect. Love all of the guys and their personalities, just like Hunt, I cannot choose one.

Loved the little gem in the form of a book shout-out to another book I love, Violence in the Void.

Thank you to Genna for providing an arc in exchange for an honest review.

What a ride!!

Okay, so in No Small Sin, Genna Black threw us for a loop close to the end. In Sinners Keepers, Genna decided to throw us through a few of them!

This was just as amazing as No Small Sin, but I gotta say, the kinks and spice win in Sinners Keepers!

Genna comes out the gate with this book giving us action and drama. Your jaw will drop and you will be asking, “um, how the hell do you move on from this?!” But not everything is as it seems and you will be hooked and addicted by chapter two.

I loved Hunt and her guys. Hunt is determined to be independent after gaining her freedom from her forced marriage. She finally has the love of her life back and she just wants to end the threats to her happiness. Hunt goes on a journey of finding her balance of being heard when it comes to her well being, but also learning it’s okay to trust and lean on some people.

I am absolutely obsessed with Ijah, Law, and Alec. Their personalities in general and then within the spice has me in love with these men.

This book was absolutely amazing!

This book is a roller coaster with tons of twists and turns. It kept me guessing what was going to happen. It does have some triggers so I suggest you check those before reading. Over all amazing characters and story development.

️Dark romance romcoms are definitely turning into my new favorite genre, and it's all because of Genna Black.

Book two focuses on FMC Hunt, who we met in book one of No Small Sin (a favorite of mine). As she struggles to make sense of her world that is spiralling, she is supported by three fantastic leading men. Also, are blonde MMC making a comeback, because I'm here for it.

There are some twists as you unravel what really happened with Hunt, and definitely some swooning with the developing relationships. It is a wild ride, and bonus for this time of year, it has some holiday elements to it!

Read if you enjoy...

We pick up right where we left off with book one but this one is centered around Hunt, Ijah, Alec and Law. Hunt is one of my favorite FMCs ever. She's authentic, true to herself and isn't just some damsel in distress. The boys... whew. The boys. Love each of them in different ways. Ummm this had so many twists and turns and moments where I screamed aloud. I had no clue where it was going most of the time and I LOVED THAT. I was clenching my butt half the time and sweating (from my eyes and thighs) the other half. Ok back to the spice because I KNOW that's what you want to read about... get ready for CNC, drunk sex, voyeurism, praise, degradation, group sex, objectification, breeding, gagging and free use. I loved this just as much as the first. Genna has such a fun writing style to read (and she's like the coolest person ever too)

CW: Death, descriptive murder, gun violence, gore, blood, explicit language, explicit sexual descriptions, FMC past trauma, sexual assault, abuse, anxiety, hospital settings and gunshot wounds.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own. CW from Author's webpage.

Genna Black's 'Sinners Keepers' is a thrilling journey packed with unexpected twists. The story follows the protagonist, Hunt, who escapes a loveless marriage only to face a devastating accident just as true love seems within reach. Waking up in a hospital, her journey of recovery is both physical and emotional, involving intensive physical therapy and a complex relationship with her former lover’s two best friends. The plot thickens with satisfying answers to critical questions, a memorable Christmas party, intense romantic encounters, and poignant moments of healing. 'Sinners Keepers' brilliantly combines Black's signature humor with a gripping narrative. It's a must-read for fans of 'why choose' romances, suspense, and happily-ever-afters—eagerly anticipating the third installment!

4/5 🌶

I loved No Small Sin and Sinners Keepers lives up the first book, even surpassing it in certain aspects! Within the first chapter, I was already gasping and drawn to read the rest of it all in one sitting. I couldn't believe what I was reading on the page and what Genna was putting us through in the first half.

I will say at no point did I know where I was going in this novel or what the next chapter would bring us, but I didn't mind that too much. About halfway through the book, I really thought it was all tied up and I was confused what more could happen. Then the next few chapters came and I was drawn right back in.

There are some triggers in here that I would recommend checking before reading, but if you read the first book, this one shouldn't be too bad!

3.5⭐️

In theory, this book was great. The delivery? Not so much. Honestly would’ve been 5⭐️ if there weren’t those annoying, icky gen z references thrown into this book. It doesn’t make your book anymore ‘relatable’ it’s just cringey. It was also annoying how occasionally we’d get told little details without the author following up on them. And the occasional grammatical errors & missing words also got on my nerves. Overall, it’s a decent book. I do recommend it if CNC, voyeurism & polyamory is something you’d enjoy reading.
There is a trigger warning at the start of the book for gore; personally I don’t think it’s needed. If you like crime, drug-lord type romances usually, it’s nothing you won’t be used to.

What a wild ride this book was! I have been sitting at the edge of my seat from start to finish. Just when I thought I figured it all out, Genna threw in a few twists and I was sucked in totally all over again. I loved every second of it!

I loved how the guys acted around Hunter, they would be willing to burn down the world for her if she asked them to. They all had their own sweetness in how they were with her, but hot damn.. when the pants came off, I really liked how they switched up in their rolls 🔥

If you enjoy your books a bit dark, spicy 🥵, with a lot of twists and why choose one man when you have three at your service.. this is definitely the book you'll want to pick up!

Thank you Genna Black for this ARC to read!

Awesome Mafia Why Choose Romance

Sinners Keepers was one of my most anticipated reads of 2023 and WOW! From the start we are thrown for a curve ball of shock and WTF just happened.
Hunter's whole world changed when TK (No Small Sin) saved her man from Matias. Hunt's d3@d husband/owner as he did purchase her from her father. Hunt almost makes a fatal mistake going after her 'father' only to wake with a memory that destroys her heart. Alec and Law tries to put her back to rights, allowing her to heal. But nothing is what it seems to be.
Exciting fun read with dark themes. I enjoyed the unpredictability and turning this into a pageturner.
Tropes
Why choose. Mafia. Healing. PTSD. Breeding with pregnancy. Lovers to enemies to lovers. Forced Proximity. Found family. Voyeurism. Light Dom/Sub. Breath play. Degradation. Little MM.

Wow, where to start? This Christmastime story had this Grinch's heart double in size💚
Hunter has faced many hardships throughout her life all due to her father. It isn't until one fateful day Hunter is finally able to realize that she is cared for. This heartwarming story of love and realizing there is more to life than the shitty deck she was dealt.
Ijah, Alec, and Law (omg Law tho🫠😍) are the trio I didn't know I needed. Each a cinnamon roll in their own special ways, help Hunter through trying times in action packed moments that left my jaw dropped and my legs clenched😈.

I was such a fucking creep when it came to her. “Get used to it. I’m never taking my eyes off you again.” A shameless one.

I went into this book not reading the first one in the interconnected standalone series and it was a mistake. I highly recommend you read the first one. It may be a story about a different group of people there are things that happen in the first one that you will be missing if you read this one without it.

Sinners Keepers is a quick read that is why choose and organized crime. With it being a quick read and a second in the series the romance development is also quick. There are elements of their relationship that happen in the first book so it’s not really rushed with all of the characters involved. I do wish that Hunt had more of a spine but we can’t have it all in every book. I did really enjoy the read. So much so I read it in one sitting.

I was over shrinking myself for anyone, and that included them. My opinion mattered.

❗️SPOILERS❗️
____________________________
❤️"I shouldn't be turned on by that, but apparently, violence in my honor really did something for me."
____________________________
I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion and review. Sinners and Keepers is a part of the Fate Trace series, it can be read as a standalone. I didn't read the first book and had no issues getting into this one. It's written in multi POV but mostly it's in the FMC, Hunt's, POV. This is an RH/Why choose romance with 3 men, Ijah, Law and Alec. And who doesn't want to be shared by 3 men who would kill for you? I loved it, it's spicy and there's a good plot plus I had no issues with any of the main characters.
____________________________
❤️"I think sometimes it's hard for us to just let someone love us all the way -no conditions- when so few people in the world are capable of actually doing that."
____________________________

Hunter is recently widowed, her husband wasn't a decent man and it was an arranged marriage to rid her father of his debt. Her father shoots her, and she believes that Ijah did it. The first few chapters are of her recovery in the hospital while Alec is by her side. She tries to runaway after she's discharged, but when Alec and Law find her, they are able to explain how much safer she will be with them because while her father is still alive, her life is in danger.
____________________________
❤️"They were my forevers, and I wouldn't change a thing about the crazy, fucked up path that led us here."
____________________________
Alec is the cinnamon roll of the group, and Law is the grumpy one who only shows his soft side to Hunt. There is MMMF but there are no MM scenes and all of the MC's have eyes for the FMC. There was a couple of times where I thought maybe, but nothing ever came of it. I think it just comes down to 3 best friends sharing the woman they love, and being totally okay with it. Especially Ijah, because he and her were a couple first and I thought he would have the most issues with sharing her, but it turns out he just wanted Hunt to have as much love as she deserved, and that's an endless amount.
____________________________
❤️"Baby, you can have whoever and whatever the fuck you want as long as you save a piece of yourself for me too." - Ijah
____________________________
The guys nicknames for her:
Ijah - Cupcake
Alec - Honey Bee (my fave)
Law - Pretty girl/Sweet girl
____________________________
❤️"I was lost in them-in each of them-just as I had been from the very beginning."
____________________________
The spice is nice. I love books that remind me how much I love the breeding kink. There is no actually breeding and none of the harem have any interest in it, bummer, but Law loves it nonetheless. There is some CNC, and when Hunt wears a collar (by her choice) she's letting them know she's theirs to use and abuse as they see fit. And the dirty talk.... I am here for it all.
____________________________
🔥"Those other two assholes have had you, and you parade this tight little body around in front of me, so fucking sweet to me, practically begging me to fuck a baby into you." - Law
____________________________
🔥"Don't stop, Hunny Bee. Fuck him with your face. That moth of yours is only good for catching cum, isn't it? I want to watch it do it's job." - Alec
____________________________
🔥"You think it's a lot now, Hunny Bee? Just wait until you're full of all of us at once, taking three dicks like the good little slut I know you are." - Alec

⚠️ Please check the trigger warnings, there is murder, blood, CNC and talks of abuse and trauma to name a few.

This story was an absolute mess.

The first few chapters made me feel like I started in the middle of a book. There was a bunch of backstory that was just there but never expanded on. I know that this book is set in the same world as the first, however, it is advertised as a standalone. As a reader you just feel like you are missing a whole lot of story.

Secondly, the relationships have zero build up. The first love interest (Ijah) is already the FMC love interest in the very beginning of the book, then he *shoots* her and she feels betrayed. All of this happens within the first 10 pages.. like what?

Then one of his good friends (Alec) that the FMC also knows, stays with her in the hospital and cares for her. Honestly they have the most build up, however, the recovery period is quite short page-wise. So the reader is being told a connection is building, but doesn't experience it at all. As a reader you do not feel connected to any of these characters at all.

Then Hunter (FMC) finds out Alec is in contact with Ijah and runs for it. But is quickly captured by Law, their other friend.
Law and Alec convince her they are not working with Ijah and Hunter decides to trust them and she also doesn't have any other options tbh.

Then the three of them move in together in Ijah's old place. They all fall in love with each other in about 50 pages... yeah. We don't know anything about these characters, we don't know what drives them, we don't know their history, we literally don't even know what they do for work!

When they are about the embark on a menage a trois, suddenly Ijah is in the house. Hunter then proceeds to shoot him, which was the only fun part about the book. But *plottwist*, when Hunter fires the gun she realizes Ijah never tried to kill her at all and it was her shitty dad all along. Honestly, don't even get me started on why this girl would think Ijah would shoot her, but apparently it was due to a brain injury that magically got fixed the moment she shot him back :)

But luckily for Ijah, Hunter has shitty aim and only grazes his arm. And then they are all back in love again *insert eye roll*

Then they decide they need to kill her dad, who is powerfull but also not? Like we have zero information about this world and it's characters. It's absolutely ridiculous, how can you expect readers to care when nothing is explained or developed?

Hunter offers herself as bait, gets drugged, finds out her dad isn't really her dad (again, are we supposed to care?) And then passes out and wakes up in the hospital surrounded by her men, who apparently took her dad to their basement. And that is the big climax of the book.... yeah...

Speaking of climaxes..... this book was filled with smut. It was truly the definition of meaningless sex because it was quite literally impossible to care about these characters.

The story was just not developed at all and neither were the characters. As a writer your one job is to make your readers invested in the story and in the characters.
This might seriously be one of the worst books I have ever read, and coming from me that says a lot.

ARC Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶🌶🌶/5

TW - graphic violence, gore, gun violence incl long recovery and traumatic brain injury resulting in some memory loss (on page), death, murder, attempted SA (on page), anxiety, trauma, depression, PTSD, cancer (parent, past including death (recounted)), claustrophobia, burying someone alive, drugging, abuse from a parent, infidelity (mentioned, secondary characters)

CW - CNC, drunk sex, voyeurism, degradation, objectification, breeding, cockwarming, spanking, hand necklaces, DP, edging

Tropes - reverse harem - MFMM, revenge, questionably straight MMCs, lovers to enemies to lovers, hurt x comfort, touch her and live to regret it

I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed No Small Sin

Hunter's (FMC) life has been tough and, like us, hopes that following the end of No Small Sin, she can get some reprieve - we were all wrong about that.

In her now found vulnerable state, she allows Alec (MMC) and Law (MMC) to be her rocks while she recovers and tries to find a sense of normalcy in her life without Ijah (MMC)... until Ijah reappears... The four of them work as a unit to bring some peace into their lives, especially Hunt's and I really did enjoy the way they were when they were together.

Genna Black was defo right about the "questionably straight MMCs" because the way I felt like I was being edged by their interactions with each other, I literally wanted to scream JUST FUCK at them through the pages 💀 I would've loved if this was MMMF but maybe Genna wants to write us some bonus content where someone (Law) takes someone's (Alec's) massive 🍆 while he sucks someone's (Ijah's) 🍆 while someone else (Hunter) sits on someone's (Law's) 🍆???? just a thought

Happy reading

This Book 2 in a series of interconnected standalones.
I do recommend reading book 1 for introduction to the world, but Genna does have a recap on her IG if you are diving right in!

This story picks right back up after the end of Book 1. Fans of
TK and Beck, will have to stay tuned til the end to see them again. This focuses on Hunter, Ijah, Alec and Law.
Oh Hunter, sweet hunny bee. She's been through SO much.. you really feel distraught for her and pray for her to take revenge on all parties. and then the TWISTS happen
• THE GASPS WERE GASPING!!

This was so addicting, I was aggressively flipping my kindle needing to know HOW this was going to resolve with an HEA.
You'll see exactly what I mean when you get there. There are some levels of betrayal EVEN in Dark Romance that you cannot get over. HOW?! Weeell!!! Genna did it. And I was immediately in her inbox after 😆 No Shame.

🖤Will this hurt your feels? You will absolutely hurt for Hunt
🖤 Spice: Why Choose and BDSM elements the spice is hitting in this one!
🖤 Category: Why Choose, MF, MFM, MFMM. Mafia,
Betrayal, Breeding (no pregnancy), l'd even throw in second chance. I absolutely loved the inner monologue of the guys viewpoint on sharing- we often don't get those in depth thoughts on why choose.
🖤 would I recommend: very quick read, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! This is a different vibe from Book 1, so go in without any expectations, other than seeing more of Hunt and her guys!

⚠️ As always check triggers warnings, because some content is not suitable for all.

Thank you to Genna for the ARC copy!

“Baby, you can have whoever and whatever the f-ck you want as long as you save a piece of yourself for me too.”

With Hunt’s abusive husband now recently deceased, she is chasing her revenge against her father who put her in this situation in the first place. With her husband out of the picture, Hunt is slated to be married off to another in the crime organization to help settle her father’s debts. Everything changes the night she decides to take matters into her own hands and seek her revenge.

Rating: 3/5
Steam/Spice: 3.5/5
Tropes:
- dark romance
- romcom vibes
- why choose (MFMM)
- lovers to enemies to lovers
- revenge plot
- touch her and I’ll unalive you
- no third act breakup

“She was my one and only; the other half of my heart. My f-cking soulmate. The bond between us was unbreakable, and nothing and no one could ever change that or take it away now.”

Final thoughts: I loved Hunt’s character and 2 out of the 3 main MMCs, but there was one MMC I just couldn’t vibe with throughout the story…to the point where I wish he was not part of her love connection. Unlike No Small Sin (which was incredible), I struggled with this story as some of the connections felt forced or awkward at times. I always enjoy a dark, why choose book…but unfortunately I didn’t love this story as I was hoping I would coming off of No Small Sin.

ugh, Genna, you did it again 😍😩

I jumped right into this after finishing No Small Sin and I just can’t get enough of this Fate Trace world!

the fact that this one was why choose was also just perfection. my favorite trope and I couldn’t have been happier to dive into more of Hunt’s story with her men.

You got me with that plot twist, ma’am. I was shocked to say the least. Along with confused, pissed, frustrated, angry and every other emotion! Thankfully, everything worked out for the best and my heart was whole again but you definitely got me!

Usually I have a favorite but I loved each of these men. The way they protected and loved Hunt so effortlessly was such a beautiful thing. She’d been to h*ll and back so to see her happy and thriving made my heart so happy!

“𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳*𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼.” 🥹😩

The funny quips here and there had me cackling out loud, this one from Law especially 😂 something about that man just had me so swoooony the whole time! “𝚂𝚑𝚎 𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚛𝚎𝚠 𝚊 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚎 𝚊𝚝 𝚖𝚎. 𝚃𝚠𝚘 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚎𝚜, 𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚞𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢. 𝙰𝚗𝚍 𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖 𝚑𝚒𝚝 𝚖𝚎 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚛𝚘𝚝𝚌𝚑!”

FOR MY FIRST WHY CHOOSE READ IS DEFINITELY A 5 STARS!
ARC READ
Tropes:
-Why Choose
-Dark Romance
-Revenge
-PTSD
-Forced Proximity
-Criminals/Mafia

Since this is a DARK romance why choose book, CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!

This book had me HOOKED from the very beginning! The first 10 chapters were like a rollercoaster because of the going back and forth with the timeline, but oh my. I fell for these men as much as Hunt did. She is a very lucky young lady.
I loved Beck and TK! And as I was reading their book, I saw the little things that showed Hunt before she was introduced and when I first read about her, I loved her! Her book was far better than I could possibly expect. She has been through so much and she deserves the absolute world and when she thought that everything good in her life never last? My heart broke for her.
But DAMN. THE TWIST AND TURNS!
These men...whew. Alec, Ilah, and Law. I CANNOT choose just one! I will never choose just one!

Genna wrote another book that will have you wanting more!

Thank you Genna Black for the ARC to read!!

This book lacks so much world-building. What’s going on ?? Who are these people ?? What do they really do all day? It just seems like they go out and kill at random??
And don’t even get me started on how ANNOYEEEDDDD I WASSS when I realized Ijah was a permanent character 😐 yall make him the bad guy for the first half of this book and then all of a sudden everything’s fine and she’s hopping on his dick 30 minutes later ? I got so mad I had to put my kindle down and rant to my boyfriend for 5 minutes and then come write this review because what the helly??? Book 1 of this series was good but this book just sucks lmao I don’t think I can even finish it, I can’t take the FMC seriously and I hate Ijah ??? Why would you make us dislike a character so much and then bring them back and make everything all dandy and fine IMMEDIATELY ?? Barely even an apology ??? Ijah is immediately like “that’s my pussy but I’ll share it with yall” EWWWW IM SORRY ??? I thought Alex and Law were the only MMCs I am extremely disappointed with the way this book went lol the writing style in this book will keep me away from this author in the future.

🤭🤭

This was my second book by this author and l know l’ll definitely be reading more of her work.

sinners keeper was dark, addictive, gripping and beautiful all at once. 🥰l couldn’t put it down and it is definitely a page turner.

I love a good Dark rom com with touch her and ☠️vibes and morally grey characters and this book had this and much more.

A lovers to enemies to lovers trope with great spice and an amazing dialogue/ plot.

The characters were written really well and just the flow of words and events was done perfectly.

This book is book two in the Fate Trace series and while it is a standalone, l highly recommend reading the first book😻

Now l absolutely love Hunt, ljah, Alec and Law.

I gasped, l laughed and my jaw practically hit the ground with the many times l was shocked from all the twist and turns this book has but in a good way.

It’s the type that keeps you on edge and wanting to read more❤️🤭🤞🏽

This book is a MUST read for sure!!!

I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review 😊

This is book 2 in Genna Black’s series Fate Trace. If you’ve read book 1, No Small Sin, then you know Genna threw EVERYONE for a total loop at the end … well get ready for book 2, Sinners Keepers, where Genna decided a roller coaster was a better idea!!

I was super stoked to read Hunt’s story and was hooked after chapter 1. I actually knew when I read No Small Sin that I wanted to know her story. Genna did not disappoint in unraveling a truly crazy story. Add in the fact it’s a why choose and I’M HERE FOR IT!!

Alec, Ijah, and Law made the perfect trio of guys for Hunt. They were sweet, caring, and ready to burn down the world for Hunt, but they also pushed her when she needed it. The four of them became the perfect found family and they all just completed each other.

This is definitely a fast paced book with things constantly happening and changing … and the spice??? HOT AF!!! I loved the cute nicknames they guys had for Hunt too 🫠🫠 I would definitely recommend reading Sinners Keepers (and go read No Small Sin too 😉)

I loved this second instalment of Genna’s Fate Trace series! From reading No Small Sin, I knew I needed to know more about Hunt and her story.

We start with Hunt recovering from a traumatic event. The total care given to her by one of the guys was utterly swoon worthy. Later, there are two more gorgeous, protective, possessive men who just want to make her happy… after her horrendous marriage and having little to no freedom or independence in her life, Hint is determined to be independent and the true queen she is. The guys all want to support her, whilst keeping her safe. I’m in love with all of these characters, Hunt is incredibly strong and able and the guys are just freaking hot as hell and will definitely do anything to keep her safe!

The twists and reveals are amazing and the spice is . This book is all action and no waiting!!!! I read this in two days and couldn’t put it down! Definitely a ride you want to take!

Definitely check triggers before reading this one...

Deliciously spicy with some unexpected twists! Why choose is my catnip, so I was excited to read about Hunter and her three men. These four were kinky as heck and I enjoyed every bit of their sexy times. Was I a little jealous of Hunter? That would be a yes, of course.

Hunter has been dealt a rough hand and was trying to gain her independence after being freed from an arranged marriage. I enjoyed her inner monologue and I found myself giggling many times. As the guys stated, she was too cute!

Ijah, Alec, and Law were so unexpected. All three had violent backgrounds and had illegal business dealings. Despite that, these three were total cinnamon rolls with a dash of possessive. I swooned as they made it their top priority to care for Hunter, giving her the freedom to be undeniably herself. There was nothing they wouldn’t do for her.

This book was an easy, breezy, spicy read. I enjoyed the humor, the twists, and the action. And I absolutely loved getting a glimpse of TK and Beck.

Decent installment to the Fate Trace series

This is my second book by Genna Black, and to be honest, it was a bit of a letdown after No Small Sin, but that may have been because I went into this book with high expectations after loving No Small Sin. I really wish the characters had been fleshed out a little more since there were so many of them in this “why choose” storyline. I also would not call this a romcom; I didn’t find myself laughing at anything that happened, and it fell flat overall. One of the reasons I enjoyed No Small Sin as much as I did was because it made me giggle and laugh often, and I felt more connected to the characters than I did in this book. My rating for this book is 3.5 out of 5 stars. It wasn’t bad, but it just wasn’t incredibly captivating. The spice levels were good, and it’s a short read, so definitely check it out, but be sure to manage your expectations going into this book.

This is my first time reading Genna Black, and it won't be the last. I can not express how much I truly enjoyed this book. I read it in one sitting and regret absolutely nothing. There are some twists, a bit of action, a lot of spice.

Hunter, Alec, Law, and Ijah were such a perfect group! I couldn't get enough of the banter between the guys, the smart-mouthed comments, and that necklace. 😏😏

Do yourself a favor and get this! THANK YOU to @authorgennablack for the ARC! This is a voluntary review, and all opinions are my own.
