Over the course of seven weeks, I made a decision to put Jesus at the helm of my day, every day. Like many people, my daily routine usually consisted of work, family, errands, household chores, and maybe a little television before my exhaustion-induced bedtime. With the exception of my morning devotional, Sundays, and maybe a few Wednesdays a month, Jesus was rarely present on my daily to-do list. Over the course of writing and participating in this study, I reprioritized my daily routine. I intentionally invited Jesus to help me make my to-do list. I still went to work, spent time with my family, and took care of all my daily responsibilities, but I let Jesus be my guide. He showed me how to love my family more deeply, sacrifice more of my time and energy to show concern for others, and that our relationship is at its best when He's in charge.
