I would consider this book Tradition Literature. I was a little disappointed by the illustrations. They were very very poorly done. The book ended talking about how there would be a savior to save mankind, but the illustration was very odd. The book is too small to be read to a whole class, and it might be better read individually. I can see students using this book or one like it when doing a unit over creation myths.
