Basic Concept: A supplement for Pathfinder 1st edition that is a comprehensive guide to all kinds of equipment, both mundane and magical.

This may seriously be the most useful of the supplemental books to this game to exist. It breaks down every single type of item into easy to search tables, gives clear descriptions for items, gives pictures for just about everything, and in general gives both players and GMs tons and tons of resources for using and creating items for games. If you play this rpg, you should have this book.

For an OGL product wherein Paizo could not and did not include game specific content like the Agile weapon enhancement or other specific magic items. It succeeded or surpassed my expectations. The new or expanded special materials, Alchemy items and additional mundane gear are helpful to anyone.

The smart move to color code and list items by the wearable slot type instead of alphabetically is very helpful. I`m disappointed that Paizo did not include a new slot and items to cover for Leggings, Pants, Skirts or kilts. Even though 90% of RPG's both PnP and Computer versions have them.

There are errors within the slot items layout where the title of an item suggests one slot type but the text contradicts exactly where a given item should go. For example Body Wraps in title but text states that it covers the Chest area, or Gauntlets of skill at arms in the wrist/bracer section.

The tables are a much needed overhaul for GM`s to quickly roll up monster/lair loot even though there is an error/omission in table 17-3 random weapons.

Overall for an OGL Equipment book this is a solid purchase but with room for improvement I give 4.5 out of 5 stars.

This book has it all - except for more. I wanted more - but then again, I was playing a very munchkiny Ninja when I got this book for Christmas, and all I could see in here was the possibility for more! more stuff! I loved the art, how the items were categorized, and the sheer volume of material to play with. Good job, Paizo. Carry on.

This book truly lives up to its title, as an ultimate guide to equipment of all sorts - from mundane gear, weapons, and armor all the way up to the most powerful magical artifacts - in the Pathfinder RPG. Indispensible!
